Only Peter Allen could do this, without looking like he's putting any effort into it. Why did this man make everything like this production look so easy? He honestly loved and enjoyed every bit of his celebrity. One of the All time greats..
Magical & magnificent, only Peter Allen could so brilliantly be the center of this tremendous production number...legendary genius is greatly missed & hopefully this gem will never be taken off this site...Bravo Peter!
I didn't have a VCR back then, but I had a audio tape recorder. When this special aired, I recorded this finale on a cassette and listened to it over and over. "Happy Birthday, Mickey"
We all need this kind of ENTHUSIASM now to get this country sparked-up again. I know President Obama will accomplish all his goals., but we ALL have to pitch in, like the Americans did in the 1930's to rebuild after the stock market crash. Have you noticed the absence of bad press about Obama and his family? It is wonderful, total opposite of George W. How can someone NOT respect President Obama, he is genius material. . . Hey doesn't Peter look a little like Liberace?
This remains the best celebration party, EVER!

I watched this a million times on VHS as a kid. I had no idea who Peter Allen was though.

Yeah there is a lack of bad press about Obama alright. That's because the press is made up of liberals. Super libs. They won't report the truth.

@pompom11 Ya, as it turns out, Obama is just another politician, only he's a bit less competent than most. Oh well, back to the drawing board...
