I've always thought that music should be about music and not the visuals. That said if a video is a mandatory requirement it makes sense to have a good one. This is better than any of Bright Eyes official videos, school project or not.
I like it and it's good, but it's somehow ruining the song for me. I guess it just seems like to much religion-based things were put into it. More than I think Conor would like or use in this particular song.
Love the song I think you did a great job. However I did find the video quite literal. I suppose the song is pretty clear about being about the government. But it could have been interpreted to do with the war and turmoil of love or something. I create mashups of films and songs. If I make one to this song I'll post it to this video. Cheers
i went to school in Surrey and made a very similar video for college on Disarm - Smashing Pumpkins. (when i was in school i dont think this song existed) You've done some awesome work mate, top marks i hope :)
When I had to say goodbye to my girlfriend and we broke up, we were on a train, and she got off at a stop before me. I then played this track and felt like everyone was looking at me. I felt like I was in a really epic Arty film hehe
# 1: This song proves all of the pessimists wrong. Music's beauty can't be silenced. Sure, 30 years ago Conor would have been a wealthy superstar. Now, he can just make us swell with joy and pain. #2: Your video is a brilliant piece of jewelry for the song. Well done. Your taste is impeccable. I agree with Titiansurf. Check out something I made for a song I have yet to put the vocals on: "Heart Like A Horse." It is not up to your level. I'm just learning video editing.
I love the video, For my personal preference it reflects the song very well. The only issue I have is the clip of George Bush. Everything else takes my breath though.
I hope Conor himself has seen this, I think he would approve. Well Done. Was it filmed in Ireland by any chance, looks very familiar except perhaps the fields of poppies.
wow i think this video gives you that sit down and think moment since i am singing it at my school in a choir my teacher only allowed it for a certain grade because it might make them cry but this song is beutiful i love it : ..(

Great song. Love the way how I builds up. Terrific harmonies. Great job on the video. Images are synched very well to the music. A very good companion piece to the song.
Its good but I also think its kind of boring... too much landscape in my opinion. BUT, that's just an opinion. I am also a video major and I know that it is all up to interpretation so keep it up. :)
Sure if we all took time to think about consequences things would be better, but sometimes you just have to think realistically. Saying that people enlisting in the military don't know any better is just making them out to be ignorant, I don't support the military but world peace is not going to happen anytime soon. I agree that having permission to take another person's life is wrong but you cant change history.
the men in charge are the ones to blame. it is people like Bush and Palin and generals and high ranking officers that are the ones at fault. those who enlist in my opinion are not bad people, they're just confused but they are doing what they think is right. the people at fault are those who convince them that enlisting is the right decision.
This is really great. It really makes you think and matches well with the music. I love bright Eyes, and when I clicked on this, I didn't expect that. Very well done, and I see your point. Something in the world needs to change. Very good choice, and I hope you will keep being outspoken about your beliefs, because your style is very affective and real.I wonder what your class had to say! :)
This is one of my favorite songs because of the imagery and symbolism in the lyrics. It's very dystopian but there is sentiment of freedom that comes with death. Also, the fact that he's not alone brings some sort of desperate and ambitious hope in the end. I like it :3
our government is a piece of shit. "I love my country, but I hate the people running it" someone famous once said. What we should be focusing on is stopping lies and bullshit and not doing things for personal gain and start living like human beings.
Like it or not, military is a necessary evil. what they actually do(war) is grotesque but it has to be done in order to keep everyone in our nation safe. why tell people that they shouldnt join the military because if no one "took one for the team", then our country would be fucked. War for personal gain is wrong but when it comes to defending your life, people should stop bashing the people that our keeping our asses safe and start bashing the fuckers that start it. And as for our government..
@moistboiz2010 This is pragmatic, and i not debate that your idea is true given our current paradigm. But it is the poets tax, to try and change that. Good leaders will try and use war only in defense of good, but the writers try to remove the things that they would defend against.
Well done. I think in the song there is a personal love story that contrasts with the wicked backdrop of a world gone corrupt that isn't captures in this video, but what you did capture was emotive and striking in an effective manner.
This is so beautiful. This really allowed the song to get to me. It helped me to understand better then I previously had. And really, I don't think anyone could have done it better.
you confused me a bit with what it was supposed to mean but overall it was good, maybe you could have simplified it a bit you were going everywhere at once lol
in my opinion, no matter what you're entering the military for, you're perpetuating its violent and tyrannical nature. I can't tell you what you should do....but I don't think entering the military for any reason is the right course. maybe heal those who are suffering here. everyone who is poor in the united states; those who can't afford food for their kids every week, or can't afford medical care....maybe those people....
@MrYoutopia You need to stop for a fucking second. This war is not the enlisted men and women's war; it is the government's war. I have been against this war (and Iraq) from the beginning, but in no way do I blame the soldiers or the military as an institution. The nature of our military is self-defense, but politicians have misused it to do terrible things. what do you suggest we do? Get rid of our military?
@MrYoutopia (CONTINUATION FROM LAST POST) Yes, and the whole world will start to love each other. WRONG! The reality of the situation is that we are left extremely vulnerable without a military and that is not an option in this shitty fucking day and age.you need to just get the fuck over the fact that human beings are violent sons of bitches and the world will never get close to utopia. once you come to terms with that, we will make progress.
@jonaismybro I will NEVER get over it. People can change and they do change. They just need to see that what they are doing is literally killing people and hurting EVERYBODY. The war IS the enlisted man's war. It is the fault of every human being on this planet whether they know it or not. In a smaller view, YOUR actions affect the government. YOUR actions affect everything around you whether you want to admit it or not. The way to stop war and poverty and greed and suffering is to do something
@jonaismybro (continuation) about it. Once you take action with motivation and passion, there is NOTHING you can't do. Once you realize THAT, jonasismybro, we will make progress as a species. Utopia is never too far away. We just need to try.
"There's no way we're going to catch them all, but somebody at least tell me we're gonna try." -Andrea Gibson
@MrYoutopia I don't think that when people enter the military they're doing it with the thought of fueling the tyrannical nature of it. when a country has a tyrant they are more than likely under a dictatorship or in a theocracy, this isn't the case in the usa. I'm not really a patriotic person and I don't really support the military but that doesn't mean joining the military is the wrong course for everyone, some people just feel they owe that to their country...
@kittydojo1 Well of course they're not going into the military to fuel this because they don't know any better. The point is - if our citizens and our government were to take a MINUTE to sit and think about the consequences of their actions to EVERYBODY, we would all be a lot better off. Anything that gives you "permission" to take another being's life is the wrong course for EVERYBODY.
Ideals are great but trying to employ idealistic notions in real life is silly. As much as I agree with you, the permanence of war and the military is pretty much ensured. Bribes for a college education, violent/extremist people... If you could convince everyone you know, and they could convince everyone, etc. etc. the world would be great.
Unfortunately, people are different and this will never happen, or at would have happened long ago.
@ZeroSwitch It only won't happen because you won't let it. You assume that things will stay the way they stay because you believe you have no power. Our actions DO affect the government. It's the same model as supply and demand. We just have to realize that we do have power in this country and in this world, and then we need to harness it and steer it in whatever direction we see fit.
Just because it's an ideal doesn't make it improbable.
@MrYoutopia my exact thoughts.. you took the words right out of my mouth. the military is NOT GOOD idfc what anyone says.. murder has no purpose and its not the proper solution for anything. how about i murder a soldiers mother cause she talks shit to me? would that make it right?.. it would prove a point and hit them where it hurts the most. therefore contradicting their entire cause.
@traemorgan18 you seem to have everything figured out. except that sometimes people don't reason and don't use logic and aren't kind. and sometimes those people do awful things. and need to be stopped.
war is never good. ever. and we've all seen armies misused. but military is not inherently bad. how else could we have stopped people like the nazi's? they wouldn't have sat down for a game of poker to figure things out.
@traemorgan18 you didn't make that point very clearly. perhaps if you'd said irrationality is not good, it would've been more clear.
because like or not, there are irrational people. thus military is not bad, those irrational people are bad. though sometimes, the two meet, and that's bad.
it's just short sighted to say military is inherently bad. yeah, it'd be great if we were all rational and logical, and hopefully someday we all will. but that's not the case, so there is a need.
@MrYoutopia In some cases people join the military because they are poor, and cant afford health care, support a family, afford to go to school, or put food on their own plate. Its every American citizens duty to be prepared to defend the free state, and the rights of people from tyranny. Its in the blood of this country. Its an oath only so many can say they have taken. The pretext of which we went to war where based on lies. That you can have.
@MrYoutopia , It's an interpretation video. they have the right to their own opinion, and they also have the freedom to express it. However, I agree with them.. I don't think anything good comes from war. Don't you dare say "it helps the economy", which is absolutely true in some cases, but if you look at the cost/benefit ratio.. war is hell. Hell is coming.
@hiphopopotamus5 I just AGREED with you, why are you saying that i'm wasting lines? I didn't know that making a statement was ever considered a waste of time. In that case, stop whining on facebook and wasting people's time.
@hiphopopotamus5 Helps those that pillage and plunder, but it doesn't help the economy of those that lose the war, or are being persecuted. America is pretty much stealing resources from iraq, while promising them 'democracy and freedom' and killing the people. Stand up america you useless nation! Those that don't support the war do something about it.. you are a democracy aren't you?!
@liambro7 We are not a democracy. People are quietly killed if they stand up. In 1970 4 were killed, 9 injured for demonstrating and the national guard shot unarmed civilians. America trains assassins to rape, torture and murder. Under the patriot Act we are under constant surveillance. We are no longer a free country and those who know it are afraid for their lives. I know of many people who die strange deaths. Yes we must stand up but do not act as if it is easy 4 us
@liambro7 You don't know me or where I come from or who I belong to so shut your trap you pretentious ignoramus. It's an easy thing for you to say, standing their at the side-lines watching as it all happens. This isn't just the responsibility of the United States people. This is a threat of all human man and therefore YOU should act too! Because really, we'll all be dead if the elitists had their way!
@MrYoutopia while i agree with what your saying i have to say that if not for the perpetual violence others must endure in the armed services your opinion probobly would not be heard. Freedom of speech is not a right its a gift.
@Albuskiba20@Albuskiba20 I'm sorry but I could not let this dogmatic presumption pass without comment. The fact is that you are correct, freedom of speech wasn't a gift from above, and was fought for, however it was fought for by militant civil rights struggle; America has a very violent Labour rights and Civil rights history through which many of these civil liberties have been won.
@RebeccaKnightly1 The argument that as you put it "perpetual violence" is why you have such freedom of speech is without merit; Vietnam was about protecting your freedom of speech? What about US terrorist campaigns in Nicaragua? or its invasion of Iraq for that matter? All to protect your freedom of speech? If you think about this seriously, for more than three seconds, I’m sure you will realise the absurdity of the statement you just made.
@RebeccaKnightly1 Wars are not fought for “freedom of speech” they are fought to gain strategic influence and power in the world, the balance of power within states (especially the United States) lies in the hands of COE’S and Bankers, who have every interest in gaining access to new markets, and creating a kind of global system that privileges investor rights above the rights of people.
@RebeccaKnightly1 You should not blindly accept such a neatly packaged vision of the world, especially when it is inconsistent with the historical record and with the logical motivations for war. Have the courage to think for yourself, and don’t spout platitudes which have not been properly thought through.
@RebeccaKnightly1 I'm not saying that the only reason for a military power is for protecting freedom. It spreads violence and genocide in its wake. all that im trying to express is that without it what happens. Tell me what happens without a military if you are a pacifist or against military let me know what your world vision without it would be. People are so idealistic believing that peace is so easy to come by. The world we live in is a hell.
@Albuskiba20 Actually I am not a pacifist, I believe that there are certain (usually hypothetical) circumstances where war is justified, but it should be a much tougher sell than it proves to be for most people. However, in terms of capital available, the United States is the by far the highest in the world, yet it spends nearly half its budget on military funding, HALF!
@RebeccaKnightly1 We might then want to ask how much it spends on its military ventures, which in the case of Iraq is TRILLIONS, how many people could be fed, or have health care, or better schools or any number of other things if the United States drastically reduced its military budget? It already outspends the rest of the world combined.
@Albuskiba20 You should just be aware that when people criticize the military things are not as simple as shouthing "they protect our freedom" Denmark get by fine and they spend about 0.0001% of what America does, and they get by without invading Iraq or Vietnam, and without sponsoring terrorist campaigns in latin america.
@Albuskiba20 Also yes you're right about the world we live in being hell, however a much of that hell is being rained down on civilians running from US Apache helicopters or US made arms (the US is also by far the world’s biggest arms dealer). Does the US military make the world a safer more peaceful place? Give your argument for this?
"Does the US military make the world a safer more peaceful place? " No in fact the exact opposite in alot of ways to alot of other countries. Assasinations of leaders in Central America and other countries lead to the people of the slain to riot and grow to have a malice towards the U.S and i cant say that i blaim them. Your very correct about the way that there really has not been a legitimate reason for any wars since WW2.
@Albuskiba20 I'm glad we've found a point of agreement. You seem to know a great deal more about America's role in destroying much of Central America than most people. It started with the Monroe Doctrine before WW2 but after the war its imperial ambitions greatly increased since it had emerged as the new global military power. Let us just hope that, thanks to many militant and difficult struggles in that region, they can begin to determin their own futures from now on.
@RebeccaKnightly1 yes like you said i agree that we have a much more broadened offesive military then defensive, and until we learn to identify and disect which we should use. We cant feel as though it is our duty to police the world. In doing so i feel like we could only grow stronger by allowing other countries to stand on their own terms like we can stand on ours.
@Albuskiba20 Actually even WWII didn't have a legitimate reason. The American people stressed they didn't want to enter the war but the government did. The government knew days before hand about the attack on Pearl Harbor, but said nothing and left them attack us in order to anger the people into letting us enter the war.
@Albuskiba20 I believe it does exactly the opposite, and this has nothing to do with idealism, just the fact that not since WW2 have I heard a legitimate reason for war. and also that you are confusing (a common mistake) DEFENCE forces with OFFENCE forces, something which you’re not allowed to say but if you look is in fact the case.
Dude, this is great, you definitely have a future in this if you wanted

our government is a piece of shit. "I love my country, but I hate the people running it" someone famous once said. What we should be focusing on is stopping lies and bullshit and not doing things for personal gain and start living like human beings.
moistboiz2010 2 years ago 2
Like it or not, military is a necessary evil. what they actually do(war) is grotesque but it has to be done in order to keep everyone in our nation safe. why tell people that they shouldnt join the military because if no one "took one for the team", then our country would be fucked. War for personal gain is wrong but when it comes to defending your life, people should stop bashing the people that our keeping our asses safe and start bashing the fuckers that start it. And as for our government..
moistboiz2010 2 years ago
@moistboiz2010 This is pragmatic, and i not debate that your idea is true given our current paradigm. But it is the poets tax, to try and change that. Good leaders will try and use war only in defense of good, but the writers try to remove the things that they would defend against.

Well done. I think in the song there is a personal love story that contrasts with the wicked backdrop of a world gone corrupt that isn't captures in this video, but what you did capture was emotive and striking in an effective manner.

I want to be a medic. I want to heal people.
yumihitomi 2 years ago 3
in my opinion, no matter what you're entering the military for, you're perpetuating its violent and tyrannical nature. I can't tell you what you should do....but I don't think entering the military for any reason is the right course. maybe heal those who are suffering here. everyone who is poor in the united states; those who can't afford food for their kids every week, or can't afford medical care....maybe those people....
MrYoutopia 2 years ago 28
@MrYoutopia You need to stop for a fucking second. This war is not the enlisted men and women's war; it is the government's war. I have been against this war (and Iraq) from the beginning, but in no way do I blame the soldiers or the military as an institution. The nature of our military is self-defense, but politicians have misused it to do terrible things. what do you suggest we do? Get rid of our military?
jonaismybro 1 year ago
@MrYoutopia (CONTINUATION FROM LAST POST) Yes, and the whole world will start to love each other. WRONG! The reality of the situation is that we are left extremely vulnerable without a military and that is not an option in this shitty fucking day and age.you need to just get the fuck over the fact that human beings are violent sons of bitches and the world will never get close to utopia. once you come to terms with that, we will make progress.
jonaismybro 1 year ago
@jonaismybro I will NEVER get over it. People can change and they do change. They just need to see that what they are doing is literally killing people and hurting EVERYBODY. The war IS the enlisted man's war. It is the fault of every human being on this planet whether they know it or not. In a smaller view, YOUR actions affect the government. YOUR actions affect everything around you whether you want to admit it or not. The way to stop war and poverty and greed and suffering is to do something
MrYoutopia 1 year ago
@jonaismybro (continuation) about it. Once you take action with motivation and passion, there is NOTHING you can't do. Once you realize THAT, jonasismybro, we will make progress as a species. Utopia is never too far away. We just need to try.

@MrYoutopia I don't think that when people enter the military they're doing it with the thought of fueling the tyrannical nature of it. when a country has a tyrant they are more than likely under a dictatorship or in a theocracy, this isn't the case in the usa. I'm not really a patriotic person and I don't really support the military but that doesn't mean joining the military is the wrong course for everyone, some people just feel they owe that to their country...
kittydojo1 1 year ago
@kittydojo1 Well of course they're not going into the military to fuel this because they don't know any better. The point is - if our citizens and our government were to take a MINUTE to sit and think about the consequences of their actions to EVERYBODY, we would all be a lot better off. Anything that gives you "permission" to take another being's life is the wrong course for EVERYBODY.
MrYoutopia 1 year ago
Ideals are great but trying to employ idealistic notions in real life is silly. As much as I agree with you, the permanence of war and the military is pretty much ensured. Bribes for a college education, violent/extremist people... If you could convince everyone you know, and they could convince everyone, etc. etc. the world would be great.
Unfortunately, people are different and this will never happen, or at would have happened long ago.
ZeroSwitch 1 year ago
@ZeroSwitch It only won't happen because you won't let it. You assume that things will stay the way they stay because you believe you have no power. Our actions DO affect the government. It's the same model as supply and demand. We just have to realize that we do have power in this country and in this world, and then we need to harness it and steer it in whatever direction we see fit.
Just because it's an ideal doesn't make it improbable.
MrYoutopia 1 year ago 2
Such radical ideals (big changes in the way things are done) are why wars are fought.
That's really all that needs said.
ZeroSwitch 1 year ago
@ZeroSwitch Radical is a subjective term.
Re-assess your argument and get back to me.
MrYoutopia 1 year ago
@MrYoutopia my exact thoughts.. you took the words right out of my mouth. the military is NOT GOOD idfc what anyone says.. murder has no purpose and its not the proper solution for anything. how about i murder a soldiers mother cause she talks shit to me? would that make it right?.. it would prove a point and hit them where it hurts the most. therefore contradicting their entire cause.
traemorgan18 1 year ago
@traemorgan18 you seem to have everything figured out. except that sometimes people don't reason and don't use logic and aren't kind. and sometimes those people do awful things. and need to be stopped.
war is never good. ever. and we've all seen armies misused. but military is not inherently bad. how else could we have stopped people like the nazi's? they wouldn't have sat down for a game of poker to figure things out.
war. is. never. good.
but it's easy to see it can be necessary.
Iamthedoorwaymusic 1 year ago
@Iamthedoorwaymusic but my arguement is that if everyone saw fit to just use rational ways of handling things.. we wouldnt need this kind of thing.

Iamthedoorwaymusic 1 year ago
@traemorgan18 you didn't make that point very clearly. perhaps if you'd said irrationality is not good, it would've been more clear.
because like or not, there are irrational people. thus military is not bad, those irrational people are bad. though sometimes, the two meet, and that's bad.
it's just short sighted to say military is inherently bad. yeah, it'd be great if we were all rational and logical, and hopefully someday we all will. but that's not the case, so there is a need.
Iamthedoorwaymusic 1 year ago
@MrYoutopia In some cases people join the military because they are poor, and cant afford health care, support a family, afford to go to school, or put food on their own plate. Its every American citizens duty to be prepared to defend the free state, and the rights of people from tyranny. Its in the blood of this country. Its an oath only so many can say they have taken. The pretext of which we went to war where based on lies. That you can have.
223DesignGroup 1 year ago
@MrYoutopia , It's an interpretation video. they have the right to their own opinion, and they also have the freedom to express it. However, I agree with them.. I don't think anything good comes from war. Don't you dare say "it helps the economy", which is absolutely true in some cases, but if you look at the cost/benefit ratio.. war is hell. Hell is coming.

@hiphopopotamus5 I just AGREED with you, why are you saying that i'm wasting lines? I didn't know that making a statement was ever considered a waste of time. In that case, stop whining on facebook and wasting people's time.
hiphopopotamus5 1 year ago
@hiphopopotamus5 Helps those that pillage and plunder, but it doesn't help the economy of those that lose the war, or are being persecuted. America is pretty much stealing resources from iraq, while promising them 'democracy and freedom' and killing the people. Stand up america you useless nation! Those that don't support the war do something about it.. you are a democracy aren't you?!
liambro7 1 year ago
@liambro7 We are not a democracy. People are quietly killed if they stand up. In 1970 4 were killed, 9 injured for demonstrating and the national guard shot unarmed civilians. America trains assassins to rape, torture and murder. Under the patriot Act we are under constant surveillance. We are no longer a free country and those who know it are afraid for their lives. I know of many people who die strange deaths. Yes we must stand up but do not act as if it is easy 4 us

This is a threat of all human man and therefore YOU should act too! Because really, we'll all be dead if the elitists had their way!

cutupyo 1 year ago
@MrYoutopia while i agree with what your saying i have to say that if not for the perpetual violence others must endure in the armed services your opinion probobly would not be heard. Freedom of speech is not a right its a gift.
Albuskiba20 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 @Albuskiba20 I'm sorry but I could not let this dogmatic presumption pass without comment. The fact is that you are correct, freedom of speech wasn't a gift from above, and was fought for, however it was fought for by militant civil rights struggle; America has a very violent Labour rights and Civil rights history through which many of these civil liberties have been won.
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1 The argument that as you put it "perpetual violence" is why you have such freedom of speech is without merit; Vietnam was about protecting your freedom of speech? What about US terrorist campaigns in Nicaragua? or its invasion of Iraq for that matter? All to protect your freedom of speech? If you think about this seriously, for more than three seconds, I’m sure you will realise the absurdity of the statement you just made.
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1 Wars are not fought for “freedom of speech” they are fought to gain strategic influence and power in the world, the balance of power within states (especially the United States) lies in the hands of COE’S and Bankers, who have every interest in gaining access to new markets, and creating a kind of global system that privileges investor rights above the rights of people.
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1 You should not blindly accept such a neatly packaged vision of the world, especially when it is inconsistent with the historical record and with the logical motivations for war. Have the courage to think for yourself, and don’t spout platitudes which have not been properly thought through.
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1 I'm not saying that the only reason for a military power is for protecting freedom. It spreads violence and genocide in its wake. all that im trying to express is that without it what happens. Tell me what happens without a military if you are a pacifist or against military let me know what your world vision without it would be. People are so idealistic believing that peace is so easy to come by. The world we live in is a hell.
Albuskiba20 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 Actually I am not a pacifist, I believe that there are certain (usually hypothetical) circumstances where war is justified, but it should be a much tougher sell than it proves to be for most people. However, in terms of capital available, the United States is the by far the highest in the world, yet it spends nearly half its budget on military funding, HALF!
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago

RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 Also yes you're right about the world we live in being hell, however a much of that hell is being rained down on civilians running from US Apache helicopters or US made arms (the US is also by far the world’s biggest arms dealer). Does the US military make the world a safer more peaceful place? Give your argument for this?
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1
Albuskiba20 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 I'm glad we've found a point of agreement. You seem to know a great deal more about America's role in destroying much of Central America than most people. It started with the Monroe Doctrine before WW2 but after the war its imperial ambitions greatly increased since it had emerged as the new global military power. Let us just hope that, thanks to many militant and difficult struggles in that region, they can begin to determin their own futures from now on.
RebeccaKnightly1 1 year ago
@RebeccaKnightly1 yes like you said i agree that we have a much more broadened offesive military then defensive, and until we learn to identify and disect which we should use. We cant feel as though it is our duty to police the world. In doing so i feel like we could only grow stronger by allowing other countries to stand on their own terms like we can stand on ours.
Albuskiba20 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 Actually even WWII didn't have a legitimate reason. The American people stressed they didn't want to enter the war but the government did. The government knew days before hand about the attack on Pearl Harbor, but said nothing and left them attack us in order to anger the people into letting us enter the war.
AshamedofHumanity 1 year ago
@Albuskiba20 I believe it does exactly the opposite, and this has nothing to do with idealism, just the fact that not since WW2 have I heard a legitimate reason for war. and also that you are confusing (a common mistake) DEFENCE forces with OFFENCE forces, something which you’re not allowed to say but if you look is in fact the case.
