Nonetheless, it was a compelling performance of this fugue. Although it's a fugue, remember this is a romantic piece - rubato is part of the style, even with Brahms.

I regard it as CRIMINAL that he left the concert stage so early. .
More credit belongs to his mother than to Mrs. Levhinne. I think he enhanced HER career more than the other way 'round.
After his international success Rosina began performing actively after decades of seclusion. And oh what a wondrous event was her Chopin E-Minor Concerto at age 81!

Way too much rubato for my taste. He has a nice sound but I like fugues played at a steady pace, rhythmic. This is kind of missing here.
