Mapex Orion Drum warm-up recorded by Joe Clancy in 2008

This may sound like a dumb question but what to they call the rythm that is being played from like 2:48-6:18? I am a sound guy and I am looking for clips of that type of rythm to play while I am setting up my sound gear and testing it. - by the way - nice set - sounded good to me :)

Ah this guys is pure MAGIC!! He's now the drummer in 'Eutopia' a rock band from the uk. Cant wait to hear them on the road! Alexander ( the guitarist/singer of Eutopia ) has also told me he is doing the recording of their new record. So in other words he's all round AMAZING!

The Paiste cymbals are as follows 17" & 18"Rude Crash Rides, Signature 16"Fast Crash, 18", 19" and 20" Sig Power crashes, 20" Sig Full Ride, 20" 2002 Heavy Ride, 14" Sig Sound edge Hats, 18" 2002 Novo China, 18" Sig Thin Crash.

The tom sound is absolute killer. Would love to have that sound.

For constructive criticism, I would put some more presence in the kick drum, as in a whole band recording it would sound very muffled in the mix.

ive commented b4 on ur vids about heads and now i would liek to comment on mics. i think i have found the secret to ultimate snare sound. its the beyer m201 with a mic underneath snare side. it jstu makes such an amazing sound. well fr what ive seen from youtube videos. the best 3 recordings ive sene on youtbe use the beyer m201 directional dynamic. just amazing and iw ould like to know ur mixer or any eq or compression gate apps u have and also recording software. thanks

Hi dude, yeah the M201 is a great mic for the snare. The Console is a Soundcraft 2020. The EQ used is just what I used on the channel. I used a BSS 4 channel gate on some drums and I gated other stuff in Pro Tools. The compressor used was on the kicks and it's a BSS. Cheers dude!
