#1. Overly friendly wait staff. (I prefer overly friendly staff. And I can't relate to his having owners sitting/standing there and catering to him the whole time.)

#2. Waiters who chew gum. (I have no problem with waiters who chew gum. It doesn't matter to me.)

The piece de la resistance is when the waitstaff come up to you ask "How is everything?" Immediately after taking a bite.

@rennyminou Ugh, I've had that once. I waited an hour and a half for a bloody spaghetti, I finally got it, it was cold and then after I took 2 bites the waiter comes and asks me how it is.

Almost every restaurant in America MAKES their servers check back in two bites or two min. It's just one of those restaurant Commandments.

I completely agree with him, it's stupid. A good waiter is just there when you need him/her. Restaurants really need to stop pushing this kind of behavior.
