im a filipino but im very proud in british army because they are excellent in making tactics.. and for me they are the most powerful army in the world.. :)
Well I can see the British. And the men of the Continental Army. But where's the French troops? Surely, given the significance of their contribution to the eventual victory, they'd be represented too?
@queenshussars, In the 1800's, The Americans cried to us for a peace treaty (This is after revolution).
So we accepted, then in 1812 America thought Canada would be easy pickings, but getting a nice suprise.
We kicked their asses on the border, then we pushed into further territory, then after the other war with France when we sent Napoleon of into exile (AGAIN!) we spear headed the Americans, pushing into the White house and burning it down.
@mangokiller111, We made ONE fatal mistake and lost the battle over it, it was outside of the war.
And didn't you get your guys asses kicked at Gulifield Courthouse? Battle of King Mountain, 1780 Battle of Bunker Hill, 1775 Battle of New York, 1776 Battle of Hobkirk's Hill. All major battles the British won over the Americans.
@UnitedProviences your going back more around the 1780s the us did not have proper training for its troops while the british were considered to be the best in the world
@UnitedProviences the us was not even a country yet how can they have proper training are guys did not even have fighting experience very few did the time the us started to get proper training was when a Prussian general came to Vally forge to teach the troops how to march
@mangokiller111, The United States of America was a country in 1775 right when the revolution started, your generals had experience and could train your men, we were outnumbered in ALOT of battles yet we still kicked your asses.
@UnitedProviences no the US declared it self a country in 1776 the British did not Reconise it until 1783 at the beginning of the war of 1812 the us only had about 7000 troops and a weak navy while the British had a strong army and a huge navy and during the American revolution only a few of are generals commanded British troops out military did not get proper training until Friedrich Von Steuben came and trained the troops.
@mangokiller111, At that time we had 5000 troops at the start of 1812 the war of independance started in 1775 when the declaration of independance was made after the battle of bunker hill.
You can't complain that your troops arn't trained properly if you declared war on us.
@UnitedProviences you keep proving my point we had 7000 troops at the start of the war you guys had 5000 not much of a difference plus your guys were better trained. you guys ha more ships than us in the war then a few months later the British sent reinforcements numbering 45000 plus your huge navy blockaded the us. when your reinforcements came you guys outnumbered out troops.
@mangokiller111 we have been arguing for days were is this going to lead this happend almost 200 years ago what is done id done our countries our great friends now no need to fight with each other.cheers
@Doulea82 no i just felt it was stupid to keep on going when his statements are weak plus its been going on for 8 days.and why fight when are countries are great allies now
How was it? As soon as we lost the states that was when the Empire truly grew. If anything lossing the sates had too be one the best things that happened.

@mangokiller111, So what?
Neither did the French in their revolution nor did the Germans in their rebellion.
Doesn't make a difference, they did have proper training, most of the US generals used to command British troops so ofcourse they had proper training.

@UnitedProviences you don't even know your own history you guys had one of the biggest armies during that time you guys were in the Napoleonic era
mangokiller111 1 year ago
@mangokiller111, I do know my own history, we were at war with 4 nations at the time of 1812, France, Spain, United Provinces and America
We beat France, Spain and you, we never had any battles v Holland.
We had 4000 troops in the America's while the other 244,000 troops were in France or Spain.
You declared war on us, we were unprepared, yet you still got your asses handed to you.
In the revolution the British army captured the whole American southern army of about 5,400 troops.
