I visited Kinosaki last year (4 and 5 october) and I must say it was probably one of the most memorabel experiences in my whole trip.

When I was in Kyushu it was pretty much like that, there weren't many "Scandinavian" looking people at all, I think we saw one and I ran up to talk to him thinking he spoke English and he turned out to speak only German probably was wondering why this foreigner is bugging him.

Trying to catch up on watching vids, this was a nice treat for the first one. The weather looked nice. Odd question: Did the main walkway through Kinisaki have a smell? What made it so cool, the scenery, the bath houses? Were there a bunch of cool little restaurants?

The yukatas are from various hotels people are staying in. If they are wearing the same one, they are staying n the same ryokan (traditional hotel).
