There was an older anime version of 009-1? I don't remember that. Are you thinking of Cyborg 009? Because these 2 series have nothing to do with eachother except Shotaro Ishinomori wrote both of them. And 009-1 is actually a pretty good hard boiled Spy series, not really all that fan servicey

This was not a fan service anime. No opinion about it. It was a hard boiled secret agent series in the style of the great titles from the 60s (the original manga of this being from 1969.

ok... I kinda enjoyed Blitz Tactics but is this worth watching if you have LIGHTLY liked Blitz Tactics? Kuz I have a serious bad feeling about this one... but then again that OP may have not been a good demonstration of the rest of the anime, so please those who have watched it, inform me of its quality.

It's actually a much better anime than Najica, which I did enjoy to. But 009-1 has all it's ecchi and a far deeper story and better action sequences.

Personally I love this intro to, but I would say this is still a lot like Najica Blitz Tactics only a lot more clever.
