I am 13 and i collect ww2 items and i just bought a ww2 field pack it is just like you od green one and it is from1945 i had to buy and attach the suspenders but they are od green to my uniform is a seabees 1950 uniform. Thank for the video.
How easy is it for you to find all of this? I bought a 1942 dated regiment cap for ~$5 and a regiment jacket (70th division, all kinds of awards and ribbons on it) for ~$15, but I haven't found anything that I really want like a Haversack or a Musette bag or even a uniform (preferably P41 or 1942)... I have bought 2 M1 liners (one Belgian, one 1973 American) and 2 M1 helmets (one dated 1944).
I show your videos to my grandad who is an ex british army and much like yourself, a keen collector of military camo and equipment. Form both of us, keep up the videos, very good collection.
well the original ww2 gear from any of the sides is expected to have dirt rust oxidation & esp rubdowns holes rips & tares on it because if its going through the field itl get torn from rolling running crawling. combat is extremely rough on gear as well as the person wearing it. i also got new gear from the surplus store last week. nothing rare but once again im a beginning collector so far i got snow camo a german etool with pick & a magic cloth to polish my eagle bowie knife
@sum12see both they both are awesome i attempted to buy some on many occasions but only found assult vests nothing as cool as that other vest u had or the field gear
@sum12see hey man actually. they mad a transition in late 1944 and changed all of their gear and started issuind OD fieldgear. if you look in photos u will see kahki in late war pics but that was because they had a surplus of it so some of it got reissued. but technically the OD offically replaced the kahki in late late 1944 and early 1945. HOpe that helps lol

@black1705f It reminded me of some stuff I've seen Muammar Gaddafi's amazonian body guards wearing once or maybe they were wearing some purple stuff.
