I love the sound effects from Gettysburg and The Patriot. You really should make new ones! Especially like the defend the fort vid. It would be most rewarding for us your viewers.
how did you get each picture from our camera to lay so fast b.c mine when i try to do it it takes like 5 seconds to get to the other picture of the stop motion video
When I shot this (13 years ago) the camera I used was a modest one that used VHS-C tapes. There was an option of "animation" by taking 1/4 second frames. I would not recommend this type of camera now as digital cameras are much better. In fact, if you have a digital still frame camera (or a web cam) you can just take individual frames and import them to your video software. Thats what I do now when I have time to shoot.
Well you must remember that I was 13 when I made this one. I am 26 now. This one and the fort one are very very simple in that they are just 4 frames/sec. The Overwhelmed is more like 7 or 8. still easy, but a little smoother. You must be able to make all frames the same length (our TV has images at 30 frames/sec, so on this movie it shows up as about one picture lasting 7-8 frames). The sound can be mixed after you film it. Look at a good war movie to find a cadence you like in the action
I got it from a number of sources. There are a few vollys from some of my favorite movies, and others are from the sound library I have built over the last few years.
With just the battle sequence (excluding the title screens at front and back, I would say only about 444 pictures plus or minus 20. Only 4 pictures/second here.
@GrunkiaTV WHOW! Grunkia? It's the Nadian Empire! HaHa, funny right?
