@nicbarrow Straight-cut gears whine, you can buy H-pattern boxes with straight gears. If you want your normal gearbox (not an Auto box) to whine, just drain all the oil out & go driving. Soon, it will start whining. Put the oil back in & the whine will remain.... Warning: That WILL knacker your gearbox, so don't actually try it...

Uh sequential by definition means next to or in sequence it doesnt have to be semi automatic to be a sequential u cn get semi auto H shifters sequential refers to the way the gears are aligned in this case in sequenc 1-2-3-4-5-(6)-(7) you then use a separate lever to engage neutral and reverse

@KiraXStrikeFreedom Yer, some one tell me, I'm confused how it can safely enter reverse considering possibility of selecting reverse whilst driving? I know it was a problem with old Italian cars.

@NorkiddExo You have to pull up just as you do no on a normal gear shift. You cannot accidently shift into reverse.

well it think its cool but not as good as a real seqeuential gearbox... with this you still have to use the clutch when shifting up so the changes are not as fast as with a real sequential gearbox. I also love the whining noise those make!!

@DirectCore haha.... well stats cuz it a limited slip clutch... something totally different... has nothing to do with the gearbox in this video. and as i said before... this is NOT a real sequential gearbox!!!! read the description. sequential shifting SYSTEM not gearbox!!!!!

@nicosofiine, haha, ok dude I agree with you, but go fuck yourself too man, you and me both know that, indeed, it's not a true sequential gearbox (the clutch itself is not fully automatically-actuated). I think you can distinguish between this sequential shiftign system much like that on a bike, but a true semi-automatic transmission is also sequential but it's just the clutch that is actuated automatically. It's like those found on F1 cars. LOL, sigh...

I think the removal of the "H" pattern for shifting is pretty cool and useful for those who need to make quick shifts without error ... this system is pretty inexpensive if it works as advertised. Sure, you can go dog gears, but you'll still have to clutch it when you downshift ... Now, if you're only going to race, then I say go dog gears, and if you have the till, go full KAPs hydralic sequential (ie... no clutch pedal needed). Depends on your needs.

The real sequential 6-speed is like 30 K EUR ... about as much as the car. You can get a replacement kit for your stock gear box (straight gears) for 6 K EUR. KAPs is based out of Moravia, near Silensia.

I dont wanna flame or hate. My opinion is that is useless and waste of money. Better to buy one nice dog box or REAL seq gearbox. But look on WTCC, people use 5-speed trannie with dog box. It is faster then sequential 6-speed. (Because of rules and extra weight, but still...)

I think in WTCC only BMW still using H pattern gearbox on factory car. Alfa , Chevy and SEAT(VW) are all using sequentronic transimission.
