  • Be sure to search for coupons and savings information on eBay before buying your new Sleep Number Bed.

  • Sleep number more durable.... Bullshit! Also try cuddling with your partner in the middle of the sleep number and get back to me.

  • Tempurpedic beds are awful - they are incredibly hot and you can't adjust them. I have two Select comfort beds (one mid model and one higher model) and have NEVER had any issues with either. I don't have mold inside and have never had to replace parts (have had my bed for 7 years). I've slept on a Tempur bed and I woke up sweating. I'm not over weight or having "hot flashes" (I'm 34). Even with the AC cranked up the hot foam made me sweat. Gross. I'll never switch.

  • Tempur, hands down!

  • As one who sleeps nightly, and has for over four years, on a memory foam mattress - I wouldn't have anything else! I wake up completely rested, and without aches and sourness. I don't worry about air leakage, springs, etc. My mattress is AWESOME, and I wouldn't sleep on anything else!

  • You will need to bleach the bladder periodically to avoid mold build-up for the sleep number or chance voiding your warranty. The sleep number is still a pressurized sleep system..Duh!!!. and comparable to a spring mattress. His research is obviously very inaccurate!!!!

  • Try this research in 2012.... Tempupedic will win hands down by far... this guy is still an IDIOT!!!!!

  • Idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've talked to owners from both brands and hands down this video is a lie.

You might consider a sleep number bed more durable, if you ignore the fact that you have to replace parts fairly consistently throughout the life of the bed. I've heard complaints about the air bladder popping, the compressors failing, mold in the bladder, rigid foam pieces being uncomfortable and breaking down.

I've only heard of 1 issue with Tempur durability.

  • You must get paid by mattress companies.

  • You should add a vote in how well their customer service is. I heard several reviews where Sleep Number's customer service is incredibly rude, expensive and overall doesn't give a crap.

  • I tried 4 spring mattresses before going to foam, the first was a Restonic laytex, lasted about a year, but comfortable, no back neck pains, cratered out. Then a thicker latex from Mattress warehouse, great bed, went 5 years, cratered out. Last 3yrs a cheap fairly stiff memory foam with a 3in 5.5density topper, been great, will try a 4in topper when it craters out.. Mattress from the Mattress warehouse, topper from ebay..

  • Very helpful! Thank you!

  • Whats the sleep number for doggy style?

  • @aznerd999 ...... 69

  • @aznerd999 What`s the number for a wan a be funny question?

  • Thanks for the information. When I travel I sleep in alot of hotels and some have the sleep number bed. It was ok but all the buttons I had to push but I sleep good. The temp bed now that was heaven. I know that the price for both beds have dropped draumatically

  • I've had a Sleep number bed for 7 years now and it is pure heaven. Everywhere else I sleep is a nightmare. Anyone who complains about a sleep number bed likely was sleeping on one of the cheap models.

  • Tempur = SHIT!!! Go for a Carat with alloy springs or a design Eden from Jensen! I have the Carat Dynamique by Jensen...the worlds most advanced ajustable bed by Jensen in Norway. If you have backproblems or trouble sleeping try it!

  • i <3 my Tempur-Pedic

  • We hate, hate, hate our select comfort! 6 years of torture, and are desperate for a new one, but the market choices are daunting. Our pillow top felt comfortable in the store but too soft, no support so we took it off. Now too hard, still no support, and my husband's side has a leak that we can't seem to fix, every morning he wakes up in a huge crater. He's now on my side and I'm on the couch until we figure out a new one.

  • I slept on a sleep number bed for about 6 months. Truly a piece of crap. Besides deflating sometimes, the air sometimes transferred from one mattress to the other. I will never buy one of these beds.

  • this bed is great for stock holder but not so good to the average consumer to anyone thinking of pay too much fo a bed.. when in dount know your way out.

  • Lighten up, people, please. I, for one am grateful. The above video clip may not be authentic research with strict protocol but it's helpful to regular folks who'd like a little more information before making this big purchase.

  • FYI 1,100 respondents is no where near "extensive research", especially if you just collected them from forums. Your methods are flawed.

  • if you like to turn alot during the night...Temperpedic is nightmare, its like sleeping in sand...you kinda just fill in your mold in the bed and are almost glued there..

  • Tempur-Pedic is the best mattress. The end.

  • I like these videos. To those bashing him, pay attention! He's not recommending anything based on personal experience. It's a compilation of reviews from others who have commented on various beds. "Barajastj86" should bungy-jump off a cliff [I wouldn't suggest something fatal to you!] It would be helpful if you'd just say what you like or dislike about each mattress you've had.

My problem is that with people having problems with every kind of mattress, I'm now afraid to buy any of them!

  • "Air doesn't sag..." No, but the air cells will if the pump goes out, and everyone of the sleep# owners I've talked to has had that problem.

As for the heat of the Tempurpedic, mine sleeps no hotter than the inner coil unit I had previously. The fact is, as the tempur-material uses body heat to actuate, it takes heat away from your body and conducts that through the mattress. The plastic cells of the sleep# reflect heat back.

  • I prefer organic latex mattresses. They sleep cooler because they are not made from petroleum oil which causes cancer. More comfortable because it is boyant. Savvy Rest mattress has a zippered cover with interchangeable parts so you can make it as firm or as soft as you like on each side. No motion transfer. No toxic chemicals. Last longer because it is not made from polyurethane foam like Sleep Number or Tempurpedic. Read the law label. Don't get green washed with syntheic latex.

  • We have the best of both worlds; a sleep number bed with a 2" memory foam topper. It feels like a tempurpedic with adjustable firmness. The best part is only the memory foam will ever wear out and replacing the topper is only about $150.

  • I appreciate Nick taking his time to make this vid. We are in the market 4 a new mattress & all this is very confusing. Plus, it's a BIG investment. U need 2 get this right b-4 buying. We R looking @ the Celebrity Tempur-pedic.

  • Tempur pedic mattress are 10 times better! I have had both first the sleep number wich is no more than an air mattress. Tempurpedic is a pressure releving agent! So this guy should just jump off a cliff because he is totally wrong!

  • i hate air mattresses, they are full at first, but tryig to sleep on them is no fun,Sealy mattresses will beat select comfort.I'm going to get a tempur pedic adjustable model

  • you are so wright im getting a tempur pedic because i cant stand my spring.

  • tempur-pedic mattresses feature memory foam aka slow recovery foam. this type of foam has a much finer cell structure. a couple of problems would be heat, due to the lack of air flowing through the mattress. AND because the material is temperature sensitive, during winter it will feel firmer. not right for every-body.

  • if its hot maybe people need to turn on their ac,i love my ac on frozen,i live in florida, and i hate the heat down here

  • We bought the Tempurpedic and we regret the decision every night. It is uncomfortable and I wake up stiff. I ended up sleeping in my old inspring mattress in the gest room. I wish somebody warn me of this.

  • we are seriously considering a Tempur-Pedic bed. May I ask you which Tempur bed style you own? Thanks. We are looking at the celebrity bed

  • I own the advantage bed.

It is working better for me now, but I had to take sleeping pills for a while to get through the night until my body adjusted to it.

  • Tempurpedic bed are the absolute worst bed you could ever own. I have cronic hip and back pain from the matteress. only had it for 14 months. a super expensive way not to get any sleep. dont waste your money. if this guy slept in one for a few months he would be on here complaining too.

  • I haven't tried one but tempurpedic mattresses have different firmnesses. Maybe you tried one that was too firm or too soft?

  • i just bought a sleep # bed . and is me by my self so i hope the middle dont be a problem ... if not you will see it in creiglist
