never try to get anon to do your bidding. Its a hard thing to get into. You need to understand this is a W.A.R and we are in it until the very end. After this, you can expect us to dissapear back to relative obscurity, as the media attention actually hurts us: wer'e not a vigalante group. We are the users of bulletin boards. Never try to hijack anon- we have no moral high ground, and were not all nice people!Remeber, weve been here for nearly 5 years...
yeah right. Your in WAR!!!! WHoooooo! I bet scientology is REALLY scared about you little ddos-kiddis. Couldnt even hack one single dianetics-page. you have just shit in your head. go and write something in your damn bullet-boards I bet scientology is freaking scared about that. you must be really bored.....
Can I use your site to publicise an important e-petition now available for signing by all UK citizens or residents against the recognition of Scientology as a religion.
Google uk e gov petitions, go to People & Orgs and it is the second down, already over 7,000 have signed. Open until May but DO IT NOW.
Televangelists are the scum at the bottom of the barrel of scum that was scraped off the bottom of a scum factory's holding tank. As much as I am often labeled "anti-religion" it isn't religion itself that I speak out against. It's the abuses, the suffering and the way religion is used to twist the people and blind them to truth.
Don't even get me started on Young Earth Creationists...
I do think that education is to blame as well. Our schools need to encourage critical thinking! These uneducated people are getting more out of their church than they are from the schools they are attending.
I watched Jesus Camp today, and it scared the crap out of me! It is very alarming what fundamentalists are trying to do, using children!
yes, that should be one of the main purposes of education.
get the children to understand the scientific method, how knowledge is derived from facts, how science depends on evidence, and how to think critically and how to correctly apply logic and reason.
Check out the Frontline website (American PBS show). They have a documentary on Mormonism that was aired last June. It is in 10 Parts and is produced very well.
I don't think the attack on other fronts should begin quite yet... There is definitely a long way to go on Scientology, even if the last protests were, if I may, "epic win."
Also, some anon may think you're looking for a personal army. I think it's best to be "Anonymous" when speaking to them.
So many of them home school their kids, which I know is regulated somehow in the states, but still - a lot of these kids can't watch TV unsupervised, no internet access, no exposure to ANY opposing viewpoints until they're 18 or so - and by then, well...
don't think about this. it is a common rebuttal by scientologists to say "what next? christianity?" to get people onto their side. also, anon are not justice seekers, they're just a community annoyed by scientology only.
BUT, a hell of a lot of people who got involved are not "real" Anons - ex-scientologists, youtubers, goons, free thinkers, free speech advocates, plain old stupid kids, etc.
So, some of "justice seekers" did join up, too. It's a start.
Thank you for another good video. To my mind Mormons and JWs are too silly to have much weight. I once went through the entire Mormon conversion program with books, films and prayer but did not see the light and after that they left me entirely alone. The Jesus campers are another matter. The camps have ceased, due to vandalism inspired by the documentary but some other method of indoctrination will no doubt evolve. :(
lol, evangelicals have vacation bible schools - Jesus Camp lite. Of course other christian churches have those too - you know, harmless, tolerant folk like the southern baptists.
What's horrible is these things tend to be free and at similar hours to a regular school day, though shorter - some non-christians send their kids to four or five weeks of day camp at different churches a summer, just to get free babysitting when school's out.
auchraw: i think rootstring is right, even if this specific jesus-camp isnt active anymore, to solve the problem you need at least 30% antitheists in the united states that speak out against such stupidity, and you need to outlaw homeschooling ;)
Absolutely, and against church schools which perhaps even worse. I read that Christian fundamentalists make up 75 per cent of home-educated children in the US. Is this a sign of the insecurity of these sects?
Folks who follow those televangilists and tv faith healers are fools. I know you and i differ on the belife in god, But i have to agree with this foolish charade. You will disagree with me but god is good and he does not need cash. Real followers of christ are to be respectfull of others and there belifes.
Hence my subscription to your channel and the fact that i do get the main drift of many of your messages. Cheers and good health Kurtilein.
gnwhite: i cant really respect beliefs, and i do not see any reason at all why beliefs should be respected ;)
if someone believes that andy warhol is the greatest artist of all times... noone respects that belief, it would be normal to criticize it. or if you believe in a political party, or anything else besides religion... beliefs just are not respected in our culture.
only in religion suddenly beliefs deserve respect, that really needs to stop.
The point is surely that religious beliefs are irrational and so can only survive or be enforced in isolation; either at Jesus Camp with home schooling and no rational contact anywhere or within a country where no other (irrational or rational) opposition is tolerated. Once you open the door, as you and others are doing, the End is surely if slowly drawing Nigh. Give it time.
Which reminds me of a good story about a cult that got going in a residential college. The End of the World was scheduled for some time in the Christmas break. Some students stayed in college over the break and others went home. The second lot, isolated among their families, all saw that the cult was mindless rubbish and lost their faith but those that stayed together in a group survived the disappointment and agreed that the End had been postponed by their good behaviour.

pyromania: i agree, the protests against scientology need to continue.
but the youtube antitheists, how many people are we? somewhere around 10.000 like anonymous? more? less?
im sure that more could be done, and that more people could be mobilized, not just against scientology but other targets as well.
