Oh my God! I can't wait to get my DS-10 for Christmas now. My wife just ordered it for me as one of my gifts on Amazon Saturday night. I am going to crank some serious NES game soundtracks on this thing.
Thanks for posting, it gave me great inspiration for doing some of my own work.
Gotta love the old school nes/snes themes. How come you used two DSs? Is there an issue with limited tracks/layers you can use? Also, what's the sound bank/preset samples like? Can you import your own? Is there a way of inputting audio from an external source? If yes, is there a "Kaos Pad"-esque feature you can run the audio through? Sorry about the ridiculous number of questions. Cheers.
1) yes, Korg DS 10 is essentially limited to 2 sound channels and 4 drum channels. to create good stereo ECT, i needed more than 2 snd channels and doubled them by syncing two DS/Korg DS-10.
2) Yes and they vary, although i tend to make my own by tweaking the X-amount of modulators included ect.
3)you can use the DS mic to sample but no way of inputting a sound source, Obviously you can output the sound through the DS Headphone jack into a mixer / mixing desk and add another source that way.
Forget the haters. You did a pretty good job on it, man. Props!
