Steve Hassan is an EVIL LIAR and not a Christian at all. He has never read in the Bible in the First Book of John Chapter three from verses one all the way through to verse 24. In my opinion Steve Hassan is of the Devil. And Steve was sent by the Devil to try to ruin RoyMasters life and Reputation. Yet he has not succeded. Thank GOD Roy Masters is still going STRONG in The TRUTH From GOD ALMIGHTY.
God says that anyone that says that they do not sin is telling a lie. God says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. What bible you want to read. Roy Disaster or the creator of heaven and earth. Where was Roy when God was creating the earth. Can he call an eagle from afar and the eagle will obey his call? He is nothing but another opportunist like the reverend Jim Jones of Jonestown. All of you that are surprised by his teaching beware.....
I think John in the ible and Paul talked about the same subject. I take it to mean non deliberate sin, but Paul talks about sin dwelling in his mortal members doing the things he would not do, or not being able to do the good things he'd like to do.
I think Paul explains it better. He then goes on to say what a wretched man he is, and he can't wait for his deliverance from his body of sin.
@Upritebass John speaks of it saying a child of God cannot sin, yet if we do, we have an avocate (and vindicator in Jesus. Very near the same passage (I think it's near the same passage) he writes all people have sin and anyone saying he doesn't is a liar. The idea is that in God, through Christ Jesus and his imputed righteousness, we do not sin. Purposeful sin seems to be the sin he's speaking of. another Bible passage says ALL unrighteousness is sin: Purposeful or non purposeful.
@Upritebass It's really the only way it can be usnderstood, and in the Greek language, there's probably a clearer distinction as in other passage translations I've read. As much as I like Roy Masters, and think many things he says is right on? - I still wouldn't say I don't sin. I've heard him explain it, and he means basically the same thing as Paul and John did. Yet, I wouldn't say it like THAT, because it gets edited or on you tube, lol! non explained on you tube, lol!
Roy, at times, has unusual and intriguing insights. But he's so conspicuously self-referential. He's always reinforcing how unique he is, instead of the individual listener coming to or rejecting that notion independently. He's like the person who uses his own name in the third person, as he's a legend in his own mind. It's such a bad sign. It would be much more direct to exclude the excessive personal references and just see how the ideas themselves stand. That all that matters in the end.
@FritzOmnibus I agree. And as much as the ideas help me, he is not perfect.
Thus, the ego interludes, but not always. He's a human with inspired ideas, but the occasional bragging is not. I don't think it will effect me dangerously. After all, he says don't let anyone control you, not even him, lol! Guide yes, and being human we have to realize he is too ..... but with some darn good truths!
Holding oneself up as an ultimate authority is always suspect. But, lending insight and leaving the room without screwing with an audience's supposed "conditioning" is an authentic act. There is no insight that is passed from one to another via manipulation or shock, even for truth'sake! Otherwise you're left with a new form of sycophant who will forever mimic the teacher. The teacher will always be out in front: fluid, spontaneous, the manipulated student will be stiff and unimaginative.
@FritzOmnibus Bravo! That's not what's happening here or to me.
:-)
Some people may be adversely interpreting things or object to a strong male (it's real folks, society is most always rigged against them to hate and pincushion them) and he's rocking the boat. I think some women object to him because they think he'll dish out the same hatred towards them and many have toward us.
I prefer these mostly healing attitude and words to a crushing manhater anyday.
@Upritebass On the whole, he's freeing people up to be more loving and resilient. Especially me. We need it. I don't see his words turning out any Jim Jones type proselytes not Muslim women hater extremist types. No. Roy's on the right track.
And no, he's not perfect, but seeking truth and love. Lot of paranoia about him that's not true. And he BETTER stay on track or I will personally kick Roy's BUTT!
Need many of your words Roy. Never turn to the evil side! Keep seeking the Good!
@Upritebass I think that Roy used to purposefully say things like that to stir up a little controversy as an attention-getting ploy. The average listener, if they are not educated about what such passages in the Bible really mean, will think that Roy is saying that he's attained some level of perfection.
@inflatableclown6 I hear you. I've heard him say he does that sometimes too. There's so much to say about translations, and wether or not he explained himself (I honestly don't know) If he does grandstand, I hope it's not to a silly degree. I've heard things from him that have really helped me, and I think he has helped many people. But if anyone goes overboard in grandstanding, as compared to sharing life experiences as eg's, my rabbit ears of caution go up.
@Upritebass I'm discerning enough to know the diff between a radical jim Jones type and let's say for eg, a Billy Graham type. SO FAR, I haven't heard Roy 2B that, but as with any political figure, religious, political, etc. my rabbit ears remain up.I don't doubt he messes up, you know? I noticed my dad sometimes just gets grumpy simply cause he's 90. I just say to myself, Dad! At 90 years old, U can be grumpy wherever you want. lol! But that's not his constant state. He's basically a Good man .
@Upritebass It may not be happening here, as you say. But, overall, in his radio show; in his Sunday conversations... he endlessly digresses to tired themes which revolve around himself (like having a difficult wife or how tough he is). He's a bright, spiritual and unusual man. But there's room for criticism because he's effecting people's lives, usually when they're in a vulnerable state. Roy's approach is very scattershot and he'll take an individual's problem and use it to grandstand.
I don't know Roy but his humor offends many. I used his meditation a few years and I know how it changes everything from negative to positive, from evil to goodness & being close to God and Jesus. Whoever opposes him will be defeating his or herself because anyone opposing who is with God and has God and Jesus power with them will lose their good fortune. The meditation Roy M teaches gives great inner peace, love, joy, and removes anger, violence, and addictions to alcohol, drugs and tobacco.
He doesn't sin but he freely admits to making mistakes. He has character flaws but he's working them out; in contrast to most of us who glorify our mistakes and wallow in them.
In other words, it's all very subjective here.......and Roy in fact does not sin according to what your definition of 'sin' really is. Very convenient.....I think I'll invent my own definition of 'sin' and walk around saying I don't sin......

@inflatableclown6 What is the true problem you have with roy masters? I dont agree with him on everything, and I dont need him to teach me anything.. @StokesDaddy I don't always disagree with everything Roy says....although he really says some asinine retarded things. @StokesDaddy I'm never mad when people are honest, so no need to feel apologetic. I don't understand what you mean by 'emasculated past'...do you mean my dad was emasculated? Try and explain what you mean, if you please. I always find it so humorous when people think they've got me figured out.
Most people don't even know what the real meaning of the word sin is. They just believe whatever the church and/or what brainwashed people told them it means.

It would have been interesting to hear the rest of his answer. It's easy to make something look a certain way by allowing only half a sentence. Maybe he is goofy. But I'd have to hear the whole of what he said in response to the question to know that.
I did not edit this clip, it was broadcast that way. I think they cut him off without letting him explain what he meant. Yeah, I agree, I would have liked to hear him continue.
As a matter of fact, it's been said that one of the early influences on Masters' life was L Ron Hubbard, the founding father of Scientology. I'm sure Roy never substantiate that claim, however; he wants to distance himself as far as possible from any association with known cults.
Hmm he should stop acting like them if he really wants to separate himself. Of course I'm not sure if he's got the reach he seems to have had in the past.
I've only really come to notice Mr. Masters after reading his new "science" which really blew me away as utterly retarded. I really wonder how this guy stays on the radio these days.
He stays on the air in the usual way -- by saying outrageous controversial things in a voice that seems to come from another spiritual dimension, by re-writing the gospel of salvation in his own special quirky way, above all by making people think he has found some mysterious stairway to heaven that NO ONE else has found -- he keeps people eating out of his hand -- like a psycho-spiritual pied piper.
his family owns TRN which is sucessful- I think they own some radio stations. Having this connection allows his program to be a part of a 'Line up' of programming.
Yeah its nice that he can stick himself on the program schedule as part of the package... Whats funny is you hear about how he needs money to stay on the air, when it seems he's going to be on the air gratis for a long long time.
Usually I don't like to take jabs at people's physical features. And I say that in part because I've blessed to have a very attractive face (though my hair has fallen out). I've listened to Roy on the radio and admit he has a very charismatic voice. But man that face can stop a clock.
Heh. Perhaps that's what prevented him from being more "influential."
I've seen your blog also and I wrote a comment there as well. Your posts regarding Roy informative and fair and, by default, became a rare repository of comments on the internet. That's one reason you get a lot of hits I'm sure.
I recall someone telling you that you were too involved in music as an attempt to neutralize you and put you in your place. It was boilerplate Roybot'speak from someone who doesn't know anything about you.
most of christianity is a joke, most are too scared to believe, for all things are possible-Note "ALL"-sin also included..eradicated,if you can believe that God became man,die for humanity, and saved it. Why cant you believe that you are sinless because of what he did..if you cant, than your true god is sin-god could not save you from your sin-for your sin is greater than God himself
acura1997: perhaps I could understand your comment better if I knew something about Nietzsche, which I don't, except for the fact that I've heard his philosophies are kinda like Masters'.
I believe in 1 John 1:8 "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." Masters' people never quote that because it makes Roy look self-deceived, which I believe he is.
To appreciate Roy Masters, one needs a good sense of humor, a sense of irony, and to try and not get all bent out of shape over failings of his, either real or imagined.
I didn't know there was a parasite out there that makes you look like you have swallowed the Encyclopedia Britannica volumes one through nine. Is there a double chin parasite out there too? Perhaps the other chin is just a natural extension of his other face. Am I the only one doing a double take when the portly guy says he doesn't sin?
Roy says he doesn't sin. How then does he explain the big gut, puffy face and double chin? This guy is so detached from reality he really believes he is not fat. Roy, unfortunately for you as Orson Welles said, gluttony is not a hidden vice.
Good Welles quote. I didn't know that one. Orson would know!
Roy blames his health travails on a parasite he got from swimming in the Venice Beach canals in LA. -didn't his intuition work that day? AND in his path through the "medical matrix" he blames the medical profession for not having a clue.
Speaking of Matrixes, David Masters LOVES the Matrix film. He plays bits from it all the time. Seems to be a canon of gospel to him. I thought it was a pot smokers' rendition of spirituality.
Inflatableclown why do you post all these videos on your channel about this man so much...i went to his website and his message to me seems sincere. You don't have to like him but why waste so much energy on this guy...life continues to move and it's too short to focus on people you don't like...i hope you're not a hater cause I can't stand people like that.
Everybody seems to think I'm posting these videos out of hate. I'm not about hate or revenge. I am one, among many, who suffered much from seeking truth through Roy's meditation. I just happen to be very bold and vocal about it. I have no ill-will toward Roy or anyone. I am simply sharing some video clips that show another side of Roy, another point of view, another perspective. I speak out for those who are not able to, or who are araid to.
You know, it really irks me that I can no longer post videos longer than 60 seconds!! I'm going to be getting a new computer instead of getting this one fixed.
Yes, lee, that's a favorite scripture of Roy followers. However, I have yet to meet a single one of them that even understands what it means, let alone one that has attained that "sinless" state. Roy Masters is a liar and the truth is not in him.
There is a sin of the flesh and a sin of the spirit. A born-again person does NOT sin in the spirit, they only sin in the flesh. There is a huge difference. You must rightly divide the word of truth to understand this.
As you know, I don't follow Roy. He is not a liar. You are not a liar. It's a favorite scripture because I understand what it means. Jesus took away the sin of the world 2000 years ago. It depends on what you're calling sin. The only sin that remains, after Christ did away with it on the cross, is unbelief. Only unbelief stands between people and God now. This is a larger discussion, so let's not cheapen it with these comments back and forth. I know I started it! Sorry.
No need to apologize at all. The only reason I said Roy is a liar is that he seems to promote the idea that he is sinless, that he never sins in any way, shape, or form. The truth is, nobody but nobody is "sinless" in that way. I know, it's just an argument over a technicality and not of much use here. I'm done yammering now.
Steve Hassan is an EVIL LIAR and not a Christian at all. He has never read in the Bible in the First Book of John Chapter three from verses one all the way through to verse 24.

The expressions on the audience faces are telling and amusing. Like they're thinking, "man, what a buzz kill".

Very interesting and rare clips.
I wish they could be longer and include the entire segments. Thanks just the same.

You know, it really irks me that I can no longer post videos longer than 60 seconds!! I'm going to be getting a new computer instead of getting this one fixed.

1 John 3:9
