Lastly you are confusing the German population with an occupied country at that time. it was 1944 during the Warsaw uprising and any army with any sense would disarm enemy combatants in a foreign territory. that was Poland not Germany. Try to think and read unbiased accounts of history on the subject before posting videos on gun control. Your "history" channel version of German gun control is misinformed to say the least.
@hunarf We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was "legal" and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was "illegal." ~Martin Luther King, Jr., The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison Athout of the American Bill of Rights No confusion here.
this is all bull shit, “This year will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!”
However, Hitler never said it, even though fabricated sources are sometimes provided. Guns weren’t that much of a problem in the Nazi era (at least within the country...). In fact, the Nazis liked guns, and started training kids early on in their use.
@hunarf I remember even reading a story of a Jewish man who owned guns in pre war germany who had connections with the former communist party and he was visited by the gestapo, not busting down the door but knocking and politically asking if they could search his premise for illegal firearms the two men searched his house and thanked him for his time and he said it wasn't as bad as they made it out to be. Not like America with their SWAT teams busting in.The Nazis actually relaxed the gun laws.
@AntiSocialChannel85 Says a person from a nation that was easily conquered by Hitler without a single shot being fired. Oops, forgot about that did you? And last I checked, history is not propaganda, it repeats itself
Yet another guy that doesn't know the history, we were soled out by the French that you hate so much because of the Sudetenland, They only helped Poland even that they were crushed by the Nazis lol, and then France got what they deserve by the Nazis, Karma.
And at least we didn't join them like Italy, Spain, Slovakia, and others, and America didn't even wanted to get involved with the war, they only did because the Japanese attacked them.
@AntiSocialChannel85 When exactly did "I" say that I hated the French? Perhaps maybe you can elborate on what you mean when the French "sold out your nation". And even if what you say is true, the fact that until you guys where contorled by the National Socialists, the fact is that you guys did not fire a single shot until years later on the Nazis. You guys just let the Nazis go right through you
The reason why the german occupation of western Russia failed in WWII was the Russian citizens guerrilla tactics with HUNTING RIFLES. I have an ar-15. Pretty self explanatory...
@ThePurpleNinja4209 it wasn't the citizens, it was government guerrilla warfare and they terrorized the local population. The real resistance came from citizens shooting at Bolshevik soldiers with their hunting rifles. not the NVKD killing women and children with their soviet issued rifles. Lets not take history lessons from Hollywood. *rolls eyes*
The plaque outside Aushwitz was revised from 4 million to 1 million but the 6 million story remains intact no matter what. Mabey those 4 million 'survivors' collecting billions from the children's children of germans need some revaluation and revision. When you take the hoax out of the picture all your left with is a genius who lead germany from destitute to the greatest single power in the world in a couple of years simply by removing the jew.
I read that it was the Kaiser before Hitler that banned guns, and that Hitler took advantage of it. I don't know which one is true, but the result is...
Did you read what I wrote, or did you reply to the wrong poster. I don't see how you fail to see the sarcasm in the "Hitler crap" section of my statement. Or are you yourself being sarcastic?
So we surrender in the face a bully just because they look bigger. People forget that we out number them. What, are they going to nuke their own soil. And you assume that service men such as I will betray the American people. To assume that you lost is to loose. And yes, let's forget this "Hitler crap." Let's forget Pol Pot and Mao while we're at it. How about you propose a list of things of things and lessons that We the lowly are aloud to learn. Or can you not see that We dare not forget.
@tuoempeerc What about New Orleans 2005? Service men & police broke into homes, robbed american citizens of their 2nd amendment rights 2 weeks into Katrina, leaving law abiding citizens unarmed during an uncontrollable looting nightmare. So yes it's possible for service men to "follow orders" & take citizen rights away . So many people do not understand that criminals do not obey the law that's why they are criminals.
@MadTalon55418 There were police who refused orders and didn't participate in the confiscation. It was clearly an illegal order. If you haven't noticed lots of enforcement personnel aren't fully aware of the powers their positions are allow to execute. They are uninformed. I myself was in a traffic stop last week and had to inform the officer that he had no "right" or power to search my vehicle without warrant or cause. Ignorance on his part.
@MadTalon55418 I knew fellow Marines who didn't fully know what they could and couldn't do. It was my duty to inform them and ensure that they understood. Dictatorships rely of public ignorance as well. By well informed I don't mean in the imaginings of the "right or left"ers but the proper functions and role of our governments from town to the Fed. Persons in power will always try to get away with whatever they can. People in power disarm their people for a reason, because they're scared of us.
@MadTalon55418 Also, read this. It's good gouge. ==> wwwDOTnrailaDOTorg/legislation/readANOTHERDOTaspx?id=4205 <== Or you could have spent a couple of seconds looking on google with you BS meter on. But don't look too long, there are some crazy things that pop up on the googles, believe me. Safe search for the win.
Ironically enough Hitler had his own small collection of guns. He had a Walther PPK, a Smith & Wesson serial 709 and a Liliput pistol. I think I also heard somewhere that he had a Roth-Steyr M1907 and/or a Luger P08.
Unfortunately I'm afraid the government has long time since outgunned the average citizen by getting far more billions from you to BUY THEIR OWN GUNS and create havoc abroad than any other country in the world while you are happily turning your own weapons against members of your own families and neighbours.
It's a fabulous win-win situation, if you are an arms dealer obviously ;)
And by the way cut this pathetic Hitler crap, heard it all before ...
Hitler actually LOWERED gun control when compared to the Weimar Republic's gun laws. Although, of course, he still had heavy gun control. Especially when compared to the U.S.
He obviously didn't want civil resistance, but he was less scared of it than the government that preceded him.
Stop treating Hitler like the devil on Earth when he was just slightly more evil than your average politician...
Slightly more evil than your average politician? Are you kidding me? I don't think your average politician is even capable of systematically murdering 6 million people.
I don't think I've ever met someone who's defended Hitler.
And btw, Hitler stripped all Jews of their guns before he systematically murdered them. Things may have been different for them had they all had a gun.
I don't defend Hitler, just like I refuse to stand up for any politician, seeing as none of them care about anything other than their own interests.
I just refuse to blindly accept the "Hitler was evil incarnate" crap they shove down our throats. It's clear all leaders do bad things, but only some get demonized for them.
As for the 6 million people thing, I wasn't there to confirm the number(luckily) and neither were you, So I can't say whether it's the sad truth or a huge lie.
Okay, ALL politicians are evil, its just a matter of finding the least crooked, and thats why we vote lol. but Hitler was the devil compared to them. And I agree we weren't there, so there's no way for us to actually tell for sure, but I am about 99% sure it happened, I doubt you could brain wash that many people to spread a lie.
I am so glad i live in Arizona,it's the wild west out here.......I found out yesterday i can purchase a suppressor for my ar,without any bullshit,i do have to Waite a few months tho. When these liberal fuck's try to take our gun's thats when we will have our 2 revolution!!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!!
"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, and this without any qualification as to their condition or degree, as is the case in the British government."
St. George Tucker,Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England (1803)
Prior to 1938, guns were banned. The 1938 law DEREGULATED firearms with restrictions. Restrictions such as background checks - what's wrong with keeping guns from looney creepy crazies anyway?
Assault weapons are for criminals and paranoids while handguns are for self-protection and suicide.
Lots of people drink. Most responsibly but others do go batshit crazy, drive into trees and beat their families. So we have controls like drinking age, intoxication and DWI laws... Make some sense?
@ooponsecondthought Assault weapons are for criminals? Then what exactly would you call our armed forces? The 2nd Amendment gives us the means to stand up against tyrants. See how far your pistol gets you when you have an M4 in your face.
So, your pop guns have prevented the US Government from fucking you in the ass , have they ? AH HA HA HA HA Got the Patriot act past you tho, didn`t they ?
Its ok , they only secretly arrest and detain BAD people , nuthin to worry `bout. Got you into an illegal war , gave your tax dollars to billionaires . It takes more than being armed to keep the government away . It takes NOT BEING DUMB and political organization. Freedom disappears by small increments , while you aren`t watching....
@TheBoberton Somewhere , in a darkened building in DC , a group of men in suits have read your post and are having a quiet chuckle.....................
@TheBoberton " Nope, but they have prevented the government from joining unions that destroy national sovereignty." Hmmm , what happened to the south at the end of the Civil war ? remind me
@TheBoberton Friendly insults. I like America and Americans. We consider you family , which is why we take the piss out of you. It is the English way . You have to admit , as a nation , you could lose a few pounds.
Yeah , I know , we ought to clean our teeth.................
Nice touch at the end. And see! Just a few people with hand guns caused problems for the Nazi Regime, imagine if they hadn't let their right to bear arms slip away. :(
Wow, the liberal left wing shares many of the same ideals as the Nazi party, Gun control worked for the Nazi's. I guess some in the democratic party only wish they could getaway with wholesale gun grabs like what happened in Germany under Hitler. Oh well, they can look to Australia and only dream how they can trample over American's rights guaranteed in the US Constitution.
My grandfather lived in Germany under Hitler and could purchase guns through mail order catalogs IF you were a German citizen and not Jewish and/or Communist..
Please do not make any split judgement between DEMOCRATS and REPULICANS both are slaves to the Bidlerburg Group who want to take all our 2nd Amendment rights and put us all in concentration camps.
Please do not make any split judgement between DEMOCRATS and REPLICANS both are slaves to the Bidlerburg Group who want to take all our 2nd Amendment rights and put us all in concentration camps.
What a stupid stupid argument. The Nazis also had soup kitchens at the height of the Depression. So did the UK, Sweden, France and the USA. So, errr, does that mean all those countries were Nazi states? Can you not come up with a more intelligent argument than that? I don't mean to be rude, but that's just pathetic. The Nazis also had rules about which side of the road you could drive on...
Hey wake up America,... The TSA now has the authority to go to your house and take your guns away by force.... TSA went to a pilots house and took his guns away...
Lies. The allies from WWI, including the UNITED STATES, forbade ALL german citizens to own weapons! Then the law was relaxed in 1928, and relaxed more in 1938. And it wasn't "one of the first things Hitler did". He had already been five years in power. After 1938 you didn't need a permit to buy and own rifles, and the age of buying weapons was lowered from 20 to 18. Handgun owners had to renew the permit after 3 years instead of one (as before). So under Hitler it was easier to buy guns.
dont think the Jews of Germany having guns would have made a big difference, sure maby pick off a few more nazis but in the end they would be crushed by the powerful German army hitler also wanted to ban smoking just cuz the Nazis did it doesn't necessarily mean its bad
@savage495 The US with allies after WWI forbade all germans from owning guns with the german gun laws put in effect in 1920.
In 1928 the germans relaxed this law and allowed gun ownership with a permit. In 1938 Hitler relaxed it even further, so every german over 18 could own a rifle or shotgun WITHOUT permit. The handgun ownership was also made easier.
Then came 1945 and the US and allies AGAIN forbade the germans from owning guns. This law was in effect until 1956. American hypocrisy anyone?
Buck-tooth Billy (ezekiel nutjob) doesn't seem to understand how weak the argument really is.
Furthermore, why don't Americans go after the American families who generated wealth from Nazi scum and slavery. Prescott Bush invested with the Nazis - why do these morons compare liberals to Nazis when the leaders they elect owe reparations out of their family fortunes?
@savage495 "This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future." Adolf Hitler, 1935
@savage495 that is why i try and educate as many people as i can about this, i do all i can to give them some information on why gun control won't work in a free society. people need to know that gun ownership makes tyrannical government uncomfortable.
@savage495@savage495 Step 1 is already done in the US in most states, step 2 is done in quite a few states, and partially done in many others. Step 3 seems to be on its way......
@Molo9000 regardless it classified guns for sporting purposes and restricted the type of ammo and guns they could use. the 2nd amendment isn't about sports it's about protecting yourself from others and your own government. democrats don't have to get rid of all guns. they just have to get rid of all combat effective guns such as ar-15s and ak's b
@Molo9000 and the gun laws that were introduced to Germany in 1928 under the Weimar regime in large part to disarm the nascent private armies, e.g. the NAZI SA (aka "the brownshirts").
i say again the NAZI's!!!! so regardless the nazis didn't have to do a whole lot becuz gun laws were already in place to protect germany from them!!
he just had to make ones for his main target, the jews.
it's a lot easier to liquidate a ghetto when u don't have to worry about them shooting back.
@Molo9000 now i'm not saying we should be able to buy rpg's & grenades and such.. my argument is that we should AT LEAST be able to possess the basic battle rifle of our military.
cuz when u think about it an everyday rifle from the revolution era was just as effective for war as a military issued musket, YET ppl were allowed to keep them.
fuck democrats and all these nazis who want to get rid of guns!
@mattxr2i there must be some common sense regulation. for example, storing munitions in a high density housing area (apartments, condos, etc) is dangerous. How and when certain weapons are carried needs to be regulated. For example, do you want a dummy driving around in traffic with 20 mortar shells with no warnings to anyone? of course not. There are other things to think through. The issue is responsible freedom, and the ability to protect oneself from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.
@kenfo0 I can agree with that. However the problem lies in WHO makes these regulations. I agree with the DOT regulations for transporting hazardous cargo (I'm a transportation specialist) And I agree that certain munitions should be stored properly. Which is why I keep my ammunition in a fireproof storage unit in my basement and it is only small arms ammo. I can understand there being regulations on where and how certain munitions are stored. However, I don't think they should be illegal to own.
The 1938 law was far from being the first gun law in Germany. Germans needed a license to buy firearms since 1928 and guns were completely outlawed before 1928 (in accordance to the treaty of Versailles).
The law from 1938 actually allowed long guns to be purchased without a permit, made gun permits last longer and allowed gun ownership from age 18 instead of 20.
The Nazis were not interested in disarming the population in 1938. They were interested in disarming Jews.
Gun registration and licensing (for long guns as well as for handguns) were legislated by an anti-National Socialist government in Germany five years before the National Socialists gained power. Five years after they gained power they got around to rewriting the gun law enacted by their predecessors, substantially ameliorating it in the process.
Great video. The right to bear arms is not so people can hurt each other or go hunting or shoot at targets it is to create some risk in the minds of would be tyrants. The right to bear arms has served the US for several hundred years now. Yes the cost is high but as history shows governments not individuals ultimately perpetrate the most hinous crimes Nazi concentration camps, Sovient golags, Chineese political prisons.
So all you stupid raving gun-nuts who love waving your guns around think that America's current laws are the same (or worse) than Nazi laws, huh? Then how come you always say "just enforce the current gun laws" as an excuse to duck BETTER gun laws whenever they're proposed? Can't have it both ways, you redneck gun show no background check loophole dummies!
@themredweirdoshow We do not say "enforce current GUN laws" we say "enforce current laws (period)." Gun laws are unconstitutional, and supporters assume a mentality of guilty-until-proven-innocent (people who would have a gun must be guilty of robbery, rape, or murder, right?). Gun control has been used more often for oppression (even considering that current gun laws aren't about oppression) than "public safety".
@themredweirdoshow 'So all you stupid raving gun-nuts who love waving your guns around' lol....i like this drivel :)
i've carried for many years and never shown, much less drawn, my firearm once. doesn't mean i won't need to in the future, just saying 'waving around' is a silly argument.
don't carry insurance, bro. leave u'r jumper cables at home. don't teach u'r kids '911'.. just be at peace w/every1 and hope all works out for the best.
I would actually rather have the Nazi form of gun control than our own.
American gun control act of 1969 used the German law as a basis, and expanded from there,EVERY law since then has made our version more strict and limiting than German version.
Irony is most pro-gun people in U.S. say were BECOMING like Germany, truth is using Americas current Federal gun regulations, you are less free than the Nazi citizenry were, except for jews.
Not supporting Nazis, just pointing out something most people don't realize.
You will be transported to a designated re-education center, where you will be taught the virtues of Communism. If re-education does not succeed, you will be terminated.
Surrender your firearms. You will obey the New World Order, or you will be shot.
quedorf 'Do you have a years supply of food in your home in the event of a disaster'. sorry if this is double (or triple!) posted, but i seem to be having tech issues. the answer is 'yes'. i have shelf food and a freezer full of heirloom seeds. why do u think i shouldn't?
I have to admit as a Canadian, our level already surpassed the highest car theft than in the USA. We're not at their level yet but our crime rate is slowly reaching. BC is already getting to USA level. i wish i could carry around guns like Americans do. cause our guns are pretty illegal here. I think guns are the reason why the yanks won the revolutionary war along with the French.
There are so many flaws with this argument that it is almost sad. First America is NOT Nazi germany. Only paranoid fools think it is. Next, the nazis did not initiate the gun control. It was initiated years before the nazis came to power. Nest the Jewish people were largely unarmed, so the gun control would not have changed anything. And if the argument that criminals would have guns is remotely correct, then the Jewish people could easily have done the same illegally......
@quedorf .....Yet these arguments are not comparable, as I said earlier, Nazi Germany is not America. These arguments are hoping to play off of peoples ignorance of facts, but twisting what is remotely true into some sort of mish mash of pure conjecture.
@richardarichard Perhaps some would say this. But that in no way shows or proves that if they had access to guns, the outcome would have changed. People are making huge assumptions. There is a just as likely possibility that it could have been worse. Which again is a assumption. We do not know, so using that as a argument is intellectually dishonest.
@quedorf 'There is a just as likely possibility that it could have been worse'. 6mill jews being herded into ovens and gas rooms could have been worse?! if they had been armed and able to offer some resistance and protect themselves it could still have been worse?! huh?
@richardarichard Yes it could have been worse. 7 Million could have died. Use your brain. Also what would Hitler do if he was confronted with Jewish people, who he wanted eliminated, who are armed. Think about it for a while, and you will realize it could have been worse. Not to take away from the atrociousness, but with armed Jewish people the dynamics would have changed, and no one can say what would have happened. If you are honest, you cannot disagree.
@quedorf 'If you are honest, you cannot disagree'. the hell i can't!! r u insane?! u'r suggesting that those folks wouldn't have been better off armed and defending each other's lives rather than meekly walking up the ramp into the cattle car? wth kind of dumbass argument is that?! if u'r honest, u'll tell us what u would do. pick up a gun and defend your family or willingly step into the oven.
@richardarichard I no where said that I would not "pick up a gun". I only said that this is not a valid argument, because No one knows what the outcome would be if I did that. I did not say they would be worse off, I only said that to be intellectually honest you cannot say that they would be better off either. You certainly can disagree, but you would be either dishonest, or ignorant.
@quedorf 'You certainly can disagree, but you would be either dishonest, or ignorant'. brother, if u think u and yours would be 'better off' by stepping into the oven w/out fighting back, then send your fmily to me. i ain't steppin' into the oven and will take care of yours.u go burn all u want. i'll gladly take a bullet in a fight against those that would burn me and my family before saying, 'nah, i'll just burn rather than defend myself'. r u being serious, or just part of the brady bunch?
@richardarichard You simply do not get it do you. Not too sure who you are arguing with, but it is not me. Lets put it this way, what proof do you have that the Jewish people (not individuals) would be better off with guns. NONE. Thus this point is null. Do you understand? Also what proof have you that it could not have been worse. NONE. Thus this argument is null. It is quite simple.
@quedorf u can't possibly be serious. jews, their kids and wives, dragged from their homes and sent to die. and u say they would not have been well-served w/a pistol they could have pulled out and blasted their captors w/and ran like hell?. YOU! YOU! would u have gone to the oven w/no resistance or would u have fought w/everthing u had available to u to save your family?
@richardarichard Possibly, and possibly not. When they were taken to the camps they were not aware that they were going to be murdered. So in their minds what is better. Take the chance at a inconvienience, or being shot. It is simple. Also what would a psychopath like hitler do if he had resistance. Neither of us know, SO WE CANNOT USE THIS AS AN ARGUEMENT FOR EIITHER VIEW.
@quedorf u'r nuts, but o.k. what was the original gun control question? let's get back to that. i offer that i should not be restricted from arming myself against criminals who don't give a flip about laws i'm bound by and will, all day long, ignore our laws and arm themselves anyway they like.
@richardarichard Problem with that. I made no claims about rights of people to own guns. I only claimed that this was a poor and invalid argument for peoples rights to own guns. I have my opinions on thhat subject, but they do not lay in the simplistic ideas of most people. So it is not an argument that anyone can "win".
@quedorf 'So it is not an argument that anyone can "win"'. brother, i ain't tryin' to win a danged thing. i'm trying to convince u to arm yourself to the teeth. this is an absolutely true, accurate, and genuine statement: i am more comfortable at a gun show where I KNOW every1 around me is carrying, opened AND concealed, firearms, than i am standing at a bus stop where i don't know who has what. pls protect u and yours w/all means available.
@richardarichard I am not at all against guns. BUT I have no reason to require a gun for protection, and I believe that most people are the same, whether they admit it or not. I do believe that people use this as a excuse, or people live in a paranoid fear of the unknown, but the need for protection is not at all required. Perhaps you live in a extremely violent locale, and for that I am sorry, but armed I need not be.
@quedorf ' I do believe that people use this as a excuse, or people live in a paranoid fear of the unknown, but the need for protection is not at all required'. r u dense, man?! i've owned guns for 40 yrs and never needed them to use against a human. i've owned jumper cables for about 20 yrs and used them a few times for myself or a neighbor. i don't want to be w/out either when the time comes that i may need them. arm u'rself, bro. u don't have to use it, but if u need it, it's there.
@richardarichard So you have proven my point exactly. You have had guns for 40 years and have never needed them against a human. I have had guns since I was 10. My father was military and had them in our house since I was born. His house has had them for as long as he can remember. Never once was a gun needed for protection. They were for hunting and farming. Mine were for hunting, but I don't hunt any more. They are always locked up. No one can get them but me. No need for protection.
@quedorf ' I have had guns since I was 10. My father was military...'. sweet maria!! u know guns, have a military dad, and u have this attitude?!. did u ever have guns stolen? have u lost track of u'r weapons? i can't figure u out, man. is it that u think u should be allowed to own, but not your neighbors? should u'r n'bors not be allowed to hunt and/or defend themselves? what the heck is your angle? i say arm every dang one, as u'r father did w/u.
@richardarichard I never said anything about taking guns from people. Those are words put into my mouth by people who cannot distinguish the difference between gun control and gun bans. I agree with gun control. Like I said a thousand times, that consists of proper handling and storage of weapons. I do not agree with any sort of carry laws. And surprise surprise neither does my military father.
@quedorf 'I never said anything about taking guns from people. Those are words put into my mouth by people who cannot distinguish the difference between gun control and gun bans'. perhaps i misunderstood. if so, i apologize. but what is 'gun control'? u don't believe u or u'r neighbors should be able to carry guns? if your home is invaded, it's best to have u'r firearms locked in a safe?! i just don't get it. do criminals keep their guns locked up? or only law-abiders?
@richardarichard Gun control is exactly what it claims. We in canada have gun control, and guns are not banned. There are particular configurations that are banned like fully automatic weapons, and ones that can be made easily automatic. Handguns are an example of restricted weapons, which mean that you can have them, but to transport them to a range for example you must have a special permit. Never loaded. Then storage, they must be locked twice. (safe and trigger etc.) Away from ammo.........
@richardarichard Not stored in plain sight from the outside of a house. Never must a hunting rifle be loaded within 300 metres of a occupied building. And other safety laws. Then they must all be registered, and the owner must be licensed and trained. This is gun control. Gun banning is when guns are completely prohibited. I do not support that, or believe that this would ever happen. I do not believe in any sort of carry law, and in Canada we do not have this at all that I am aware of.
@richardarichard The only place one can carry them is long guns in the woods for hunting, and at a proper range for others. Next. I am 41and my home has never been invaded. Like I said, my father is... pushing 70 and he has never had a mhome invaded. I cannot immediately think of anyone who has ever had a home invaded. Occasionally someone breaks into a unoccupied cottage and steals something, but that is even few and far between.
@richardarichard So I do not feel that home invasion is at all a concern of mine. There are far more dangerous concerns I have like home fires, and car accidents. I have experienced both, and these are legitimate concerns. Home invasion is not. If the Chinese invade I would like to be armed maybe, but do I think that will ever happen. No. Same thing. Possibly the states should look and see why they have such a problem with crime. Gun control might help it. it does other places.
@quedorf ' So I do not feel that home invasion is at all a concern of mine'. nor have i exprncd it. and i'm not overly concerned about it because i do have the right and the means to address it should the situation occur. if i hear a window break in the mddle of the night, i don't have to unlock a safe. i don't have to unlock a trigger. i don't have to reach for ammo. my .357 is sitting right there in the drawer next to my bed ready to fire. because it hasn't happened yet dsn't mean it won't.
@richardarichard I am not overly concerned about it, because the odds of it happening are extremely minimal. Why concern myself with those sort of possibilities. Live in fear and paranoia because something may possibly happen. If you wish to be paranoid, then fine. There are bigger concerns in my life than that. I strongly believe that since you have had no need of a gun for protection, then the truth might just be that you want the gun because you want it, and protection is an excuse.
@quedorf ' Live in fear and paranoia because something may possibly happen'. no, brother!! we're NOT afraid. i'm not afraid of my truck battery dying, but i carry jumper cables. i'm not afraid of my house burning down, but i buy home owner's insurance. i'm not afraid of some idiot crashing into me on the road, but i wear my seatbelt. yes, i do want the gun for the same reasons i want those other things. just in case i need it.
@richardarichard But the difference is that in my 41 years i have been in and known people who have either been hurt or killed in car accidents. I have needed booster cables to boost quite a few cars. I have been dwellings that have caught afire, and known many who lost everything in a fire. I have never had anyone break in, and never known anyone who had a break in and was home. Under your logic do you have a radiation shelter under your home in the event of a nuclear war.........
@quedorf ' But the difference is that in my 41 years i have been in and known people who have either been hurt.....blah, blah, blah'. man the low end # in the u.s. alone is 108K defensive gun uses (DGUs) per year. the high estimate is over 2 mill. just because it hasn't happened to u or yours yet, doesn't mean it won't.
and yes, i have a large store of food and heirloom seeds. and no, i don't have a fall-out shelter, though i would if i had the means.
@richardarichard ..... Do you have a years supply of food in your home in the event of a disaster. Do you have every mishap, even the most unlikely, covered.
@richardarichard Now to answer your questions. No I have never had a gun stolen. Mine have always been properly stored in a safe, and away from the locked ammo. Any gun i have ever had is never loaded any closer to 300 feet from a dwelling, as gun control laws dictate. They are only used for target and very occasionally hunting, As I honestly find hunting boring. And finally my neighbors all think the same way as i do. A gun is not needed for protection. It is that simple.
@richardarichard My father realizes that there is a difference between military and civilian use of guns. He does not use one for protection, and would laugh at anyone who claims they need it. His are for hunting, and other than that they are locked in a safe. You would never know there was a gun in the house. He is also for gun control. Yes a military man of 35 years and for gun control. It works in Canada, and most other industrialized nations.
Once America loses the right to bear arms, every other right after that will fall slowly but surely, one by one. It works the same way in every country and every period of history
Haha. This video is a croc of shit. A twisted attempt by gun nuts to justify their trigger happy mindset. Only gun nuts would think that having more lethal weapons in society equates to some form of liberty. It doesn't matter how many gun massacres or killings the US faces, you sick bastards always want more guns. You just don't get it do you. Its a never ending cycle of trigger happy violence. What a bunch of psychopaths.
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Those responsible for gun massacres near 100% target "gun free zones". Near 100% they commit suicide when confronted by a single/lone gun carrier. Once these people have snapped, do you honestly believe gun control will prevent their senseless killing? I can't help but imagine how many lives at Columbine, Virginia Tech, etc. would have been saved if someone there would have been carrying. Case and point, New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
@WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 who got killed in the massacres? law abiding citizens that DIDN"T HAVE guns because the law said they couldn't. who killed them? criminals that didn't give a flip about gun control and had guns anyway. hmmmmm....
I don't give a fuck what people do their Rosco. I'm Libertarian. I am for freedom. As long as you're not hurting anyone I don't give a fuck. Just leave me alone. Liberals are the ones who demand gays rights on one hand and then step on things I like such as gun rights. Hypocricy at it's finest.
From my cold dead hands sums it up...no one will take my arms again, I went through that in Australia, I immigrated to America and I will defend this country to the bitter end.
@wolfie83 right on, mate! sorry, always wanted to say 'mate'....aussies make it sound so cool :) if you're not an official 'yank' yet, hope you're workin' on it and, if so, welcome to the family.
It's a great example but it's kind of funny how most people just think of Hitler and Mao when this subject comes up because this struggle has been going on for so long. "Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms." - Aristotle 384 BC - 322 BC. Tyrants will never stop trying to enslave the people by either force or brainwashing so we must remain vigilant and spread the truth about the right to bare arms, to make it simple it means: POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
you fucking pussy. do you face lethal injection for being disabled? do you get shot for political opposition? do you face being deported if you're black, jewish, gypsy, jehovas witness ???
ok so they have background checks in order to stop nut jobs from getting guns if you have nothing to hide why are you so scared!
it is fine that a civilian should be able to have any firearm aslong as it is registered with the right people so they know who it is when they go on a massacre and can make sure the person cant access the gun if they fall mentally ill or such.
do you want any lunatic to be able to buy a ar15 ?
Firstly it is imperative to recognize that lunatics & criminals will tend to be armed whether or not u legalize it or not. Keeping track of firearms only makes it easier for tyrants to come & round u up, put u on trains, send u to concentration camps, manage 'population control' or 'public safety measures', etc
It is important that the people form a militia- open & accountable to the people. It is important that the militia be better armed than the military so as to protect the people from tyrants - just look @ nazi germany
What is it that will protect me&you from another hitler in power? What is it that will enable me to defend myself against the military govt when they turn their guns on civilians like throughout the 20th century?
thats paranois bullshit that shit wudnt happen in america, if you actually think that could happen then you are paranoid and people like that shouldnt have guns.
people like that start thinking there neighbors are cia spieing on them.
hitler didnt even do much to gun control and the jews wouldnt have risen up anyway because they werent armed much to begin with, the weimar republic ( germany 1919 - 1933)
disarmed the population because of private armies forming like commies, nazis etc
@colour749 u need to study some real world history- similar things did occur in the us- we had concentration camps & we still have concentration camps & most likely will have them- unless u stop ur ignorance & do something about it
stop fantasizing there arent concentration camps in america, if there were concentration camps you would be in one for saying it you idiot just like the people in germany who leaked it to the public.
the japanese internment camps werent slave labour were people were executed or worked and starved to death
wow... ur ignorance is quite fascinating. Here's a watch list:
Innocents betrayed;
End of America;
Camp FEMA;
-i also suggest u look up what are concentration camps. And also the japanese internment camps were slave labor camps. Although they werent all executed, they were worked as slaves trapped within those camps by armed guard. just watch the films already. it aint hard- why u complainin & making all these
Lastly you are confusing the German population with an occupied country at that time. it was 1944 during the Warsaw uprising and any army with any sense would disarm enemy combatants in a foreign territory. that was Poland not Germany. Try to think and read unbiased accounts of history on the subject before posting videos on gun control. Your "history" channel version of German gun control is misinformed to say the least.

this is all bull shit, “This year will go down in history!
In fact, the Nazis liked guns, and started training kids early on in their use.
hunarf 2 months ago
@hunarf I remember even reading a story of a Jewish man who owned guns in pre war germany who had connections with the former communist party and he was visited by the gestapo, not busting down the door but knocking and politically asking if they could search his premise for illegal firearms the two men searched his house and thanked him for his time and he said it wasn't as bad as they made it out to be. Not like America with their SWAT teams busting in.The Nazis actually relaxed the gun laws.

@ThePurpleNinja4209 it wasn't the citizens, it was government guerrilla warfare and they terrorized the local population.
MadTalon55418 7 months ago
@MadTalon55418 There were police who refused orders and didn't participate in the confiscation. It was clearly an illegal order. If you haven't noticed lots of enforcement personnel aren't fully aware of the powers their positions are allow to execute. They are uninformed. I myself was in a traffic stop last week and had to inform the officer that he had no "right" or power to search my vehicle without warrant or cause. Ignorance on his part.
tuoempeerc 7 months ago
@MadTalon55418 I knew fellow Marines who didn't fully know what they could and couldn't do. It was my duty to inform them and ensure that they understood. Dictatorships rely of public ignorance as well. By well informed I don't mean in the imaginings of the "right or left"ers but the proper functions and role of our governments from town to the Fed. Persons in power will always try to get away with whatever they can. People in power disarm their people for a reason, because they're scared of us.

Hitler actually LOWERED gun control when compared to the Weimar Republic's gun laws. Although, of course, he still had heavy gun control. Especially when compared to the U.S.
He obviously didn't want civil resistance, but he was less scared of it than the government that preceded him.

@Molo9000 yeah sure. but regardless it was obvious german citizens weren't gonna pay attention to a law made by foreigners.
either way u cut it. THAT law (1928) was meant for militant groups like the nazis.

so anyone who thinks gun control does anything is a fucking fool.

@kenfo0 I agree. Why not? The Government has them, why can't we have the same stuff they have?
mattxr2i 1 year ago
@mattxr2i there must be some common sense regulation. for example, storing munitions in a high density housing area (apartments, condos, etc) is dangerous. How and when certain weapons are carried needs to be regulated. For example, do you want a dummy driving around in traffic with 20 mortar shells with no warnings to anyone? of course not. There are other things to think through. The issue is responsible freedom, and the ability to protect oneself from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.
kenfo0 1 year ago
@kenfo0 I can agree with that. However the problem lies in WHO makes these regulations. I agree with the DOT regulations for transporting hazardous cargo (I'm a transportation specialist) And I agree that certain munitions should be stored properly. Which is why I keep my ammunition in a fireproof storage unit in my basement and it is only small arms ammo. I can understand there being regulations on where and how certain munitions are stored. However, I don't think they should be illegal to own.
mattxr2i 1 year ago
This is not true.
Molo9000 1 year ago
Gun registration and licensing (for long guns as well as for handguns) were legislated by an anti-National Socialist government in Germany five years before the National Socialists gained power. Five years after they gained power they got around to rewriting the gun law enacted by their predecessors, substantially ameliorating it in the process.

Can't have it both ways, you redneck gun show no background check loophole dummies!
themredweirdoshow 1 year ago
@themredweirdoshow We do not say "enforce current GUN laws" we say "enforce current laws (period)." Gun laws are unconstitutional, and supporters assume a mentality of guilty-until-proven-innocent (people who would have a gun must be guilty of robbery, rape, or murder, right?). Gun control has been used more often for oppression (even considering that current gun laws aren't about oppression) than "public safety".

i've carried for many years and never shown, much less drawn, my firearm once. doesn't mean i won't need to in the future, just saying 'waving around' is a silly argument.

I would actually rather have the Nazi form of gun control than our own.
American gun control act of 1969 used the German law as a basis, and expanded from there,EVERY law since then has made our version more strict and limiting than German version.

You will obey the New World Order.
You will be transported to a designated re-education center, where you will be taught the virtues of Communism. If re-education does not succeed, you will be terminated.
Surrender your firearms. You will obey the New World Order, or you will be shot.

And if the argument that criminals would have guns is remotely correct, then the Jewish people could easily have done the same illegally......
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf .....Yet these arguments are not comparable, as I said earlier, Nazi Germany is not America. These arguments are hoping to play off of peoples ignorance of facts, but twisting what is remotely true into some sort of mish mash of pure conjecture.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf "And if the argument that criminals would have guns is remotely correct, then the Jewish people could easily have done the same illegally.."
pfft....i dare say that, in hindsight, about 6mill jews who are no longer w/us would say, 'hell yeah, i wish i had a gun at the time!'.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard Perhaps some would say this. But that in no way shows or proves that if they had access to guns, the outcome would have changed. People are making huge assumptions. There is a just as likely possibility that it could have been worse. Which again is a assumption. We do not know, so using that as a argument is intellectually dishonest.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf 'There is a just as likely possibility that it could have been worse'. 6mill jews being herded into ovens and gas rooms could have been worse?! if they had been armed and able to offer some resistance and protect themselves it could still have been worse?! huh?
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard Yes it could have been worse. 7 Million could have died. Use your brain. Also what would Hitler do if he was confronted with Jewish people, who he wanted eliminated, who are armed. Think about it for a while, and you will realize it could have been worse. Not to take away from the atrociousness, but with armed Jewish people the dynamics would have changed, and no one can say what would have happened. If you are honest, you cannot disagree.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf 'If you are honest, you cannot disagree'. the hell i can't!! r u insane?! u'r suggesting that those folks wouldn't have been better off armed and defending each other's lives rather than meekly walking up the ramp into the cattle car? wth kind of dumbass argument is that?! if u'r honest, u'll tell us what u would do. pick up a gun and defend your family or willingly step into the oven.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard I no where said that I would not "pick up a gun". I only said that this is not a valid argument, because No one knows what the outcome would be if I did that. I did not say they would be worse off, I only said that to be intellectually honest you cannot say that they would be better off either. You certainly can disagree, but you would be either dishonest, or ignorant.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf 'You certainly can disagree, but you would be either dishonest, or ignorant'. brother, if u think u and yours would be 'better off' by stepping into the oven w/out fighting back, then send your fmily to me. i ain't steppin' into the oven and will take care of yours.u go burn all u want. i'll gladly take a bullet in a fight against those that would burn me and my family before saying, 'nah, i'll just burn rather than defend myself'. r u being serious, or just part of the brady bunch?
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard You simply do not get it do you. Not too sure who you are arguing with, but it is not me. Lets put it this way, what proof do you have that the Jewish people (not individuals) would be better off with guns. NONE. Thus this point is null. Do you understand? Also what proof have you that it could not have been worse. NONE. Thus this argument is null. It is quite simple.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf u can't possibly be serious. jews, their kids and wives, dragged from their homes and sent to die. and u say they would not have been well-served w/a pistol they could have pulled out and blasted their captors w/and ran like hell?. YOU! YOU! would u have gone to the oven w/no resistance or would u have fought w/everthing u had available to u to save your family?
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard Possibly, and possibly not. When they were taken to the camps they were not aware that they were going to be murdered. So in their minds what is better. Take the chance at a inconvienience, or being shot. It is simple. Also what would a psychopath like hitler do if he had resistance. Neither of us know, SO WE CANNOT USE THIS AS AN ARGUEMENT FOR EIITHER VIEW.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf u'r nuts, but o.k. what was the original gun control question? let's get back to that. i offer that i should not be restricted from arming myself against criminals who don't give a flip about laws i'm bound by and will, all day long, ignore our laws and arm themselves anyway they like.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard Problem with that. I made no claims about rights of people to own guns. I only claimed that this was a poor and invalid argument for peoples rights to own guns. I have my opinions on thhat subject, but they do not lay in the simplistic ideas of most people. So it is not an argument that anyone can "win".
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf 'So it is not an argument that anyone can "win"'. brother, i ain't tryin' to win a danged thing. i'm trying to convince u to arm yourself to the teeth. this is an absolutely true, accurate, and genuine statement: i am more comfortable at a gun show where I KNOW every1 around me is carrying, opened AND concealed, firearms, than i am standing at a bus stop where i don't know who has what. pls protect u and yours w/all means available.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard I am not at all against guns. BUT I have no reason to require a gun for protection, and I believe that most people are the same, whether they admit it or not. I do believe that people use this as a excuse, or people live in a paranoid fear of the unknown, but the need for protection is not at all required. Perhaps you live in a extremely violent locale, and for that I am sorry, but armed I need not be.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf ' I do believe that people use this as a excuse, or people live in a paranoid fear of the unknown, but the need for protection is not at all required'. r u dense, man?! i've owned guns for 40 yrs and never needed them to use against a human. i've owned jumper cables for about 20 yrs and used them a few times for myself or a neighbor. i don't want to be w/out either when the time comes that i may need them. arm u'rself, bro. u don't have to use it, but if u need it, it's there.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard So you have proven my point exactly. You have had guns for 40 years and have never needed them against a human. I have had guns since I was 10. My father was military and had them in our house since I was born. His house has had them for as long as he can remember. Never once was a gun needed for protection. They were for hunting and farming. Mine were for hunting, but I don't hunt any more. They are always locked up. No one can get them but me. No need for protection.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf ' I have had guns since I was 10. My father was military...'. sweet maria!! u know guns, have a military dad, and u have this attitude?!. did u ever have guns stolen? have u lost track of u'r weapons? i can't figure u out, man. is it that u think u should be allowed to own, but not your neighbors? should u'r n'bors not be allowed to hunt and/or defend themselves? what the heck is your angle? i say arm every dang one, as u'r father did w/u.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard I never said anything about taking guns from people. Those are words put into my mouth by people who cannot distinguish the difference between gun control and gun bans. I agree with gun control. Like I said a thousand times, that consists of proper handling and storage of weapons. I do not agree with any sort of carry laws. And surprise surprise neither does my military father.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf 'I never said anything about taking guns from people. Those are words put into my mouth by people who cannot distinguish the difference between gun control and gun bans'. perhaps i misunderstood. if so, i apologize. but what is 'gun control'? u don't believe u or u'r neighbors should be able to carry guns? if your home is invaded, it's best to have u'r firearms locked in a safe?! i just don't get it. do criminals keep their guns locked up? or only law-abiders?
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard Gun control is exactly what it claims. We in canada have gun control, and guns are not banned. There are particular configurations that are banned like fully automatic weapons, and ones that can be made easily automatic. Handguns are an example of restricted weapons, which mean that you can have them, but to transport them to a range for example you must have a special permit. Never loaded. Then storage, they must be locked twice. (safe and trigger etc.) Away from ammo.........
quedorf 1 year ago
@richardarichard Not stored in plain sight from the outside of a house. Never must a hunting rifle be loaded within 300 metres of a occupied building. And other safety laws. Then they must all be registered, and the owner must be licensed and trained. This is gun control. Gun banning is when guns are completely prohibited. I do not support that, or believe that this would ever happen. I do not believe in any sort of carry law, and in Canada we do not have this at all that I am aware of.
quedorf 1 year ago
@richardarichard The only place one can carry them is long guns in the woods for hunting, and at a proper range for others. Next. I am 41and my home has never been invaded. Like I said, my father is... pushing 70 and he has never had a mhome invaded. I cannot immediately think of anyone who has ever had a home invaded. Occasionally someone breaks into a unoccupied cottage and steals something, but that is even few and far between.
quedorf 1 year ago
@richardarichard So I do not feel that home invasion is at all a concern of mine. There are far more dangerous concerns I have like home fires, and car accidents. I have experienced both, and these are legitimate concerns. Home invasion is not. If the Chinese invade I would like to be armed maybe, but do I think that will ever happen. No. Same thing. Possibly the states should look and see why they have such a problem with crime. Gun control might help it. it does other places.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf ' So I do not feel that home invasion is at all a concern of mine'. nor have i exprncd it. and i'm not overly concerned about it because i do have the right and the means to address it should the situation occur. if i hear a window break in the mddle of the night, i don't have to unlock a safe. i don't have to unlock a trigger. i don't have to reach for ammo. my .357 is sitting right there in the drawer next to my bed ready to fire. because it hasn't happened yet dsn't mean it won't.
richardarichard 1 year ago
@richardarichard I am not overly concerned about it, because the odds of it happening are extremely minimal. Why concern myself with those sort of possibilities. Live in fear and paranoia because something may possibly happen. If you wish to be paranoid, then fine. There are bigger concerns in my life than that. I strongly believe that since you have had no need of a gun for protection, then the truth might just be that you want the gun because you want it, and protection is an excuse.
quedorf 1 year ago
@quedorf ' Live in fear and paranoia because something may possibly happen'. no, brother!! we're NOT afraid. i'm not afraid of my truck battery dying, but i carry jumper cables. i'm not afraid of my house burning down, but i buy home owner's insurance. i'm not afraid of some idiot crashing into me on the road, but i wear my seatbelt. yes, i do want the gun for the same reasons i want those other things. just in case i need it.
richardarichard 1 year ago 28
@richardarichard But the difference is that in my 41 years i have been in and known people who have either been hurt or killed in car accidents. I have needed booster cables to boost quite a few cars. I have been dwellings that have caught afire, and known many who lost everything in a fire. I have never had anyone break in, and never known anyone who had a break in and was home. Under your logic do you have a radiation shelter under your home in the event of a nuclear war.........

@richardarichard Sorry for being long winded.
quedorf 1 year ago
@richardarichard Now to answer your questions. No I have never had a gun stolen. Mine have always been properly stored in a safe, and away from the locked ammo. Any gun i have ever had is never loaded any closer to 300 feet from a dwelling, as gun control laws dictate. They are only used for target and very occasionally hunting, As I honestly find hunting boring. And finally my neighbors all think the same way as i do. A gun is not needed for protection. It is that simple.
quedorf 1 year ago
@richardarichard My father realizes that there is a difference between military and civilian use of guns. He does not use one for protection, and would laugh at anyone who claims they need it. His are for hunting, and other than that they are locked in a safe. You would never know there was a gun in the house. He is also for gun control. Yes a military man of 35 years and for gun control. It works in Canada, and most other industrialized nations.

Gun control only serves to weaken u. so i dont see why u would want such ordinances at all
swu880 1 year ago
@swu880
I AM NOT FOR A BAN ON GUNS!.
it is fine that a civilian should be able to have any firearm aslong as it is registered with the right people so they know who it is when they go on a massacre and can make sure the person cant access the gun if they fall mentally ill or such.
do you want any lunatic to be able to buy a ar15 ?
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Firstly it is imperative to recognize that lunatics & criminals will tend to be armed whether or not u legalize it or not. Keeping track of firearms only makes it easier for tyrants to come & round u up, put u on trains, send u to concentration camps, manage 'population control' or 'public safety measures', etc
swu880 1 year ago
@swu880
