Had the banks not been bailed out during the financial crisis, the world economy would have stopped. If banks cannot provide letter of credit (due to their insolvency) then international trade stops, assuming that banks worldwide were fucked, which they pretty much were. Money would have stopped coming out of ATMs, there would be marshal law put into place to stop violence and looting. I like letting the economy be, but without any government interference, shit gets fucked.
Shit got fucked due to Government interference (Federal Reserve); government "bailouts" are short term and kick the can down the road to an even worse, inevitable crisis...
Great Depression for instance...Federal Reserve created to supplement WWI, money was printed at an astounding rate...had a recession after the War in 1920 - Federal Reserve lowered interest rates to flood the economy with more money in the 20's...ultimately, to lead to the Great Depression.
Remove the Federal Reserve and the manipulation of the money supply and credit as well as the fiat - fractional reserve currency we use today...you will remove the boom and bust of the magnitudes we have seen since WWI.
Centrally planned economy is the problem...Freedom is the solution.

I agree with you on everything here. every party has a huge flaw/downside to it. Well, except for the tea "Party". it's not a political party it's a movement that Glenn Beck and a few others down at Fox News started. They called it the "Tea Party" to copy the Boston Tea Party but it branched out everywhere in the U.S. But yes, politics is fucked, but you should still do your citizen duties.

Watch commercials that endorse a specific candidate. All they say on the commercial is that the other guy is bad, and that he doesn't want freedom, and that he wants to raise taxes. But, in America, we do have those people. Instead of embracing a future where everyone has equal rights and opportunities, they wish to go back to "the good 'ole days," (i.e. the mid 20th century). They refuse any sort of change, and feel that government should be seen, not heard.

@Flamesync I said Britain not England. I live in Scotland and we are governed by three separate entities that control different powers. That is the true meaning of a terrible political system. The Scottish government can only make legislation on the devolved powers and the British government can only make decisions on the reserved powers. But the EU can actually change decisions made by the British and Scottish government which is just crazy in my mind.

How Virginia and Maryland are two separate states, and can make some laws, but the Federal government has more authority and can change the laws under some conditions. But, then we introduce another government that controls part of Virginia and part of Maryland and call it Virginialand.
Then, if we proceed to make several hundred contradictory laws in each one, we would have a system similar to what you're describing. Right?
