  • And being old & fat works so well in the jumpsuits (ala The Monarch's henchmen ) true devolution...love it !

  • Do you have the papers the Chinaman gave you?

  • Love them. If you don't like Devo it's prob. because you think you're tough. Haha

  • So much respect for these guys.

  • heh heh heh heh heh, "pumpin' gas".

  • @MiHiVidz And you didn't laugh at "breeding"?

  • Yeah ! Brilliant upload !

  • Feedin' and breedin' and pumpin' gas

    Chessburger cheeseburger do it again

    Devo = Geniuses.

  • whose missing? there are 5 devomen... Casale on keys and Mark singing, did someone get too good to be in Devo?

  • Not my favorite Devo track, but dammitall if they still got it.

  • Josh Freese ftw.

  • Not exactly Whip It or Freedom Of Choice

  • @MalibuCornelius

This song's every bit as good as either of those.

  • love devo, just saw them at the fall fenzy in tempe, az. The rest of the show was ok< weezer, sublime, primus were also there? but i went to see DEVO!

  • what we do=what we do

  • this video still makes me sad every time I see it XD they SUCK in this video! I saw them live earlier this year and they sounded a million times better! this video does them NO justice, are we not men? well are we?

  • @MrAnthonyLynch the music is the point and always has been

  • This is one of my favorite songs off of their fantastic new album. LONG LIVE DEVO!

    YEOWWWWW!!!!!!

  • It's amazing how they kept such exact timing throughout the song, so that the background synchronised with the lyrics. :-)

  • @jublywubly They're that tight! Of course, it's easier to keep visuals and music in sync now. Go watch some of the footage from DEVO's 1982 tour when they had to use film and a click track to keep things in sync. Of course, the footage you'll see is from a show where it didn't quite work.

  • oh no! its devo. : [

  • ever noticed the volume button on youtube looks like a devo hat sideways?

  • yes the album and single fresh/what we do are both available on blue vinyl album and 12" single, you should still find them on amazon and ebay, though both are very limited pressings

  • Are we not men? NO! We are DEVO...

  • the 'something for everybody' album is a total triumph for the band, absolutely fantastic record-and on a nice shade of blue vinyl as well, welcome back devo!

  • @swedeseed I've been listening to it constantly. Blue vinyl you say? Tempting.

  • uh, no ..... no ..... and yes!

  • Does anyone else think Mark Motherbaugh looks kind of like Roger Ebert before his operation? And Jerry Casale kind of looks like Tim Allen? Aging sucks.

  • Cool song...!

  • 2:19 - check out the DEVOted guy in the front row doing the pogo with the red energy dome & yellow suit! Excellent!

  • @Rivermanga Agreed! Watch Us Work It!

  • "Something For Everyone" is pure DEVO. This number, "Fresh", "Later is Now" and "No Place Like Home" are my favorites. I spent 4hrs watching the live stream of the Cat Listening Party the day the disc was released, jacked to see that after 20yrs they've still got the groove. And I'm predominately a thrash/death/shred metal rivethead! The spuds are still FRESH!!!

  • It's all the same....it's what they do. So we pay money for it. Or, let's say, I PAID money a long time ago to see it the first time around.

This time I ain't so sure. But I know that I won't pay again to see the same thing again.

That's the problem with establishing yourself as being so "anti" everything. When you come back after 30 years - what are you ? Anti again? Not so sure that works.

And it isn't good music. Just. Not. Good. Music.

  • i like these guys there soo funny but arnt they a bit old!

  • Fun!

  • Saw these guys last nite at Chastain Amp. Atlanta, they ROCK!!!!!

  • Sunned

Old spuds can learn a new trick

  • Devastic!!!! I can't stop to listen the new album!

  • SOMTHING FOR EVERYBODY IS DEVO'S BEST ALBUM EVER! KEEP DEVOLVING SPUDS!

  • meh amature hour for our old friends. See ya at local festivals

  • my mind doesnt do what i say !

  • I like the live version better.

  • man oh man, you are all still jamming, I'd like to say I enjoy your music, keep it up!

  • Des Moines Next weekend - the 26th - I can't wait !!!!!!!!

  • thanks,i always liked the drums in thier music.i seen a clip on here that had jerkin back and fourth on a show called fridays.it's 2 parts, the first being a intro but seperate.really enjoyed the drums.

  • the song tells u.devo back to be sacastic, love the humour.the music is fantastic.go devo

  • what spuds do!

  • Oh, I do hope the come visit near Seattle.!

  • that was definitly a fine job from the boys.can anyone tell me what happened to the original drummer?

  • @rand9234 Alan left the band in the mid 80s due to the musical direction they were heading in, with less emphasis on acoustic drums.

  • But we are ALLL DEVO!!!!!

Devo is still sticking it to the man!,...and Booji Boy is a man now.

    Booji Man,....Booji!

  • cheeseburger, cheeseburger do it again!

  • Devo knows how combine the best of the Old and the best of the New. Duty Now for the Future.

  • This sounds so much better than the studio version.

  • Poor Bob 2 looks like he's about to have a coronary. Too many cheeseburgers?

  • This song is like... a modern-day Talking Heads.

  • DEVO STILL ROCKS!!! Are we not Squirrels? No! We are DEVO!

  • Ha, they're so old now, it's awesome that they can still put on such a great show!

  • Still a good band after all these years

  • I love this song, I already bought the new album, the whole thing is good!

  • BEAST!!

  • They're just plain COOL! If you call them old then look out because you're looking at the FUTURE, and can only hope to be that cool if you reach their age.

  • Seeing them in pittsburgh july 9th, can't wait!!!

  • Whoa, is that Josh Freese on drums?

  • @sonorpaiste702 yes it is. he was been in devo for awhile now. he left NIN on there second last tour to tour with devo.

  • @sonorpaiste702 yup

    ps Devo Lives!

  • Im in hysterics, this is fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • i watched it all!! =P

  • I love this. Brilliant! :D

  • just saw these guys yesterday at the weeine roast, they were kick ass

  • man theyre old!

  • @one01ctf

    one day,

    You will be too!

  • WHIP IT

  • Gerrys hair looks less bald. Comb over, tupe or hair plugs? Looks good. I look forward to seeing the new album tour!

  • I love this so hard; can't wait until I can get it! We need the Song Study EP in the UK iTunes store! </3

  • @MrSpock2230 They've earned it all!

  • I REQUEST GO MONEY GO X3

    Thumbs Up :D

  • @chowderfan4ever

    It's MONKEY not money.

  • It's all the same, there's nothing new. Duty now, spuds!

  • @DEVOvision yall confuzin me... is their a new album or not?

  • @JohnnyLovelyOfficial DEVO have a new full-length release scheduled for mid-June entitled "Something for Everybody". It will be like it's predecessors or be different; it's all the same.

  • These guys are still such a super tight band! What an inspiration!

  • I watched the whole program and all I saw was Fresh and Whip It.

  • Guess what I'm eating right now? A cheeseburger! hahahahah, cheeseburger cheeseburger do it again!

  • @asdfbackwardssongs

Funnily enough you reminded me of the "Too Much Paranoias" lyrics where they sing about cheeseburgers.

  • @WoodRatGirl

I'm guessing it's also a callback to the old SNL sketch "cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger" with the diner that only served one item and one drink.

  • Comment removed

  • Brillant!!!...

  • These old spuds still got the chops! I love DEVO!

  • @billc756 Except for the youngin Josh Freese he's rockin back there on the Drums...

  • a cheeseburger? REALLY?!

  • @jawharpjab Check the screen. It's "Eatin' and Breedin' and Pumpin' gas."

  • These old farts rock. Try to take something away from them, but they still kick so much young red ass. Not convinced?... listen to "Fresh" which was also performed at the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Our de-evolution is nearly complete. Now it can be told.

  • @onebraid Indeed

  • @onebraid - The human race is too ignorant too survive...I think that was their point LONG ago (and may very well NOT be wrong).

  • @bacofishtaco No kiddin'! Talk about spuds.....fucking scary!

  • They kept laying in a clip of Josh that wasn't in sync... poo poo heads

  • Evey time I see this I realize how AMAZING the background visuals are, and how much I LOVE DEVO! Incredible!

  • @KittahMonster That's what we do!

  • i had like 7 seizures while watching this

  • @dlbert2000 Good. You're doing it right.

  • At a time when my friends were getting into Journey and Led Zeppelin, I couldn't relate to the music of the time. I found no interest in music. However, Devo came on scene and finally I felt like I could relate to other music fanatics. They really peaked my interest in music. Since then, I've always enjoyed music deemed as slightly off from main stream. Devo is still relevant today.

  • Eatin' and breedin' and pumping gas, cheeseburger cheeseburger, do it again...

All of this despair gives me hope!

  • HELL YEAH!

  • freaking awesome moving image accompanying them, DEVO Rules Ok

  • AWESOME!

  • This song is amazing!!! It sounds like a combo of DEVO and NoMeansNo...so fucking rad, my friend got me into this thing at Jimmy Kimmel and I was blown away! DEVO is better and weirder and more relevant than ever...glad to hear some kids are getting into them too! De-volve, SPUDS!!!

  • Wow, who cares if they're old! I'm 16 and this is my all-time favorite band!! I would be really sad if they acted like old people and I missed out on DEVO entirely...

  • LOL I find this hilarious too.

  • ‹(•¿•)›WOW!

  • I never expected to like such music. But I can't stop dancing :D

  • excellent...

  • So friggin' AWESOME to see and hear new Devo. That's right. See and hear. Devo isn't just about the music.....check out the video in the back. It ties it all together. They're just brilliant. Those of you who gavfe it thumbs down, I invite you to watch it again and I bet tomorrow you'll just start singing "What we do... is what we do".....

  • Their age doesn't matter. They still bring it and bring it very well. They have way more energy than a ton of bands half their age AND more importantly they write far better music.

  • i love how they still rock at their age

  • haha what guitar is that?

  • @wenye92 ibanez

  • @wenye92 It's a custom-made Ibanez. Bob Mothersbaugh has the only one to my knowledge.

  • They are HOT!

  • pretty terrible I like Whip it though

  • @pisceslernin that's because you're a moron

  • BORING!

  • These guys are alive? Just kidding....wow, they're pretty good.

  • I love that bass line.

  • fast and bulbous!

  • Josh!

  • how old are they? LOL

  • Their ages range from 37 (Josh) to 61 (Jerry).

  • i found this to be hilarious

  • does anyone honestly enjoy listening to the vocals? i think they're terrible..

  • @Soffelulz *raises hand* I do.

  • @Soffelulz There's something cool about 'em...

  • @Soffelulz I'm sure Jerry and Mark know that they aren't "singers" necessarily, they just love doing what they do. From what I can tell, as high quality a YouTube video can get it rarely captures the nuances of Devo live; I'm pretty sure if I were there up close I wouldn't even notice the imperfections of the voices. I recommend looking up some really old performances by this band (1978 or 1980 or so); then just search "Uncontrollable Urge" or "Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA" and take your pick.

  • wow the visuals in the background really portray the message don't they? lol

  • ummm..crowd looks like it swallowed ambien

  • @flicknausi

Gotta agree there. Cept for a few spuds in the front, that crowd was totally lifeless.

Also, anyone notice their performance of Girl U Want was removed?

  • @MoonCrashed I was in front... It didn't seem lifeless to me. But then again I was one of the spuds you speak of...

I noticed too. That was my favorite part.

  • @flicknausi I was there... didn't seem like that too me. But then again, I was in the front.

  • sweet
