  • a year later -- still one of my favorite Rt 66 versions, mostly due to the great arrangement, modulations and chord changes. Especially like the "Hit The Road Jack" treatment and that great tenor solo. Excellent band.

  • Route 66 was first recorded in 1946 by The Nat King Cole Trio, but it was written by Bobby Troup that same year.

  • nice changes... fantastic. you guys put some time into this arrangement... very good.

  • Mmmm that is a superb piano solo; who arranged that piece?

  • fantastic rendition. Never heard the original before but this definitely good version, especially that key change thing during solos.

  • Thank you for your kind comment. The changes are based on "Blues For Alice" ... not exactly though and a bit "contemporised":
