each plate is a different color and there are pictures showing how much each plate color costs (usually on menus and on signs on the wall.)
some places have RFID's tags in the plates and when you're done (and have a stack of plates) the hostess will come around and just scan the pile then give you a bill. some are a little more low-tech and simply count up the plates at each price level.
how does paying for this kind of sushi place work? im gonna be in tokyo in less than a week and i would like to know :) thanks!
