I Saw a Raccoon at the High School that I work at. We put a trap out for it because it is going through and tearing under portable classrooms. Also they can be a threat to the Students and Staff. We plan to catch it and release it away from the school. Unfortunately we keep catching cats instead.

And I have no problem with trapping and relocating raccoons, the further away the better. And if they have babies in their nests, that's their problem. If anything, that just helps to keep their already out-of-control population in check.

No one is innocent, including you. But some people live in the country, and have to deal with pests. If mice and rats move into your house, will you feed them?
You are right, I'm not innocent, I happily live in the country and kill rats and mice every day. That doesn't mean that the persons comment was right. I don't brag about my dogs "owning" animals or say that it is amusing to watch them kill something.
Your local animal/coon rehabilitator will be more than willing to humanely relocate the coons and show you how to prevent this from happening. Killing raccoons is illegal in many states and an inefective 'pest' control strategy. The only permanent solution is altering your property to make it less attractive to wildlife. There are simple things you can do that many animal rights organizations and rehab'ers can help you with.
