Installing notebook RAM - HP 530 - IT247.com

Can anyone help me? I ordered 2*1 GB RAM DDR2 667MHZ modules by CSX. Model CSXO-D2-SO-667-8C-1GB. After I installed them into an hp 530 and booted the computer, the system went up, but the screen stayed black. There were no beeping signals whatsoever so I don't know, what the problem is. Does anyone have experience with these modules? I want the machine to work, so i re-installed the original RAM. Which 1GB modules definitely work?

Heloo i have a truble with my hp530, first my hard disc have a truble a buy new one, then my hp530 is overheating i have done a new paste and now it's cold, but i have now a new truble, some times computer working good sometimes it's die about 30s, computer die like no power intro them, no working and i need to reboot 20 times before working correctly a then about 10 minutes die again, so i dont now what it's a trouble ? Sorry for bad english... Thanks for help..

The original HP memory for these machines is no longer available.

You may want to look fort matched memory (tested and approved for use by the memory manufacturer) from either Kingston, Just RAMS or Hypertec.

If available XP could be reinstalled, however make sure you backup first.

i have the same laptop hp530 with 1gb ram and windows vista...how can i find the exact memory for hp530,should i order it only from hp ?

does anyone know if i can install windows xp on it because vista make it too slow

DDR2, either 533MHz or 667MHz, depending on the exact model.

I'm thinking about installing another 1 GB before it will be too expensive to get the required RAM. Any info how much acutally? The annoying thing is that I have 2x 512 MB modules installed so I oughta buy 2 GB instead of just one module that I could simply add :-((

i noticed the size of the battery is different for the two model 520 and 530. 530 has bigger battery or what? i own the 520 one, battery lasts only 2 hours, which sucks so bad when you watch movie.

Well, I have the 530 and the battery only lasts about 2 hours as well. I'm still really happy with it, though.

If you are after memort click on the memory configurator button which is in the left navigation half way down the page.
