My apologies as well. I have a head cold that won't quit & it's making me miserable. I guess it just hit me the wrong way. Picher is very close to my heart as it is the area that my father grew up in. He was born & raised in Cardin (back then, the town name was Tar River). His Father worked in the mines as an elevator operator & died at an early age from congestive heart failure but I'm sure it was lead & zinc poisoning. We're finding all of this info thru geneology research.
ah, completely understandable, my mother has early stages of pneumonia and is pretty sick, well, best of wishes to you, sorry to hear about the complications with the mining.
o hell do you even know a thing about Picher? Are you from Picher? Because i am i grew up in Picher Oklahoma and there is not one thing wrong with me.
my attitude was to regalRed1 not to you and i know Picher died even before the tornado and i now live in Quapaw less than four minutes from my old house in picher....and i love this video have you seen the creek runs red
Great video! I drive through Picher everyday to get to work. May 10th, 2008 was some type of day for me. I graduated from Coffeyville Community College that afternoon, and made it home to see a tornado outside of my town. I wasn't planning on chasing on that day either. 9 days after the tornado I went to Picher, OK to see the destruction for myself. The Discovery Channel use some of my footage in their Tornado Rampage show about that horrific day.
yeah i went i think it was 2 or 3 days afterwards...?
And got these pictures and made the video at school the next day and got 150% on the grade.
:)
i was happy about that.. :) But yeah, it was some day, i was at my friends house when the tornado sirens went off in miami, OK and ran home lol... Yeah...
Thats cool man. i'll keep my eye out for the footage.
Aww seriusly im watching it again lol it reminds me of my year @ school :O weird..lol well :( yah ok shane i miss u!! i havent seen u in liek...100 yrs!!!! BUD!!!
I watched this vid, and I almost cried.....I just got teary eyed. Very lovely song, it goes with the video. Thank goodness that most of the people are safe. I'm glad you or other people didn't get hurt.

I hate to see an entire town distroyed, but the entire town was contaminated including it's water shed and perhaps this
is probably Pitchers saving grace. Those who lived in Pitcher can finally get out.

just letting you know its picher. not pitcher.

Yeah, I know. It's called a typo. You do know how to recognize a typo don't you? Most folks just let them slide since typo is common on the internet.

i was just letting you know, i wasn't meaning to be snarky.
But, many people call it pitcher, i thought you meant it literally.
Sorry.

Lose the attitude, please.
