I had the Chi Turbo (old edition) for about 5 years and i loveeee it! My hair is long and curly but it always got the job done. Unfortunatly it's time for a new straightener and I cannot decide between the Sedu Revolution (not normal sedu) or GHD? Idc about price since I'll be using it daily. What do you recommend?
just set the iron at the lowest temp and then turn it off, and wipe the hot plate with a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol...it will prolong the life of the iron
the chi tricks people into thinking it's decent. it has one setting, which is 410 degrees. so if you have thin hair, it will burn the shit out of it, while we're all here thinking it just works great. nope, it's just put on a really high setting.
hey. nice vid. My Sedu Revolution Flat Iron is coming in the mail now from Folica. Just tp let everyone know, there's 2 Sedu flat iron models; the Pro and the Revolution. The best one is the Revolution, trust me .
Hey there! Love ur hair. What kind of dance do you do... I love dancing, I just wish I knew how to. LOL Anyway, I just subbed, will u subb back if you get a chance. Thanks!!! :-D
sooo i wanna buy a sedu SO bad ! which one shud i get though ? i was looking at the sedu pro Ionic ceramic tourmaline Flat Iron, and i thought it looked good, wud that be a good choice? i have long hair, and its not too too thick... ?
What part of JustAnotherGayKid DO YOU NOT GET? And that comment was actually very stereotypical. There are plenty of metrosexual men who actually care about their hair.
@SweetAshou123 Good question..lol. My mother has had the GHD (in white) for about a year now and LOVES it. I have used it before and to tell you the truth...they are pretty much the same. Now, do realize I don't have that much hair to straighten. I would go for the Sedu.
Omg thx for replying so fast lol. Yeah I just got a Sedu for Christmas and was wondering whether the GHD would have been a better choice. I was so glad to finally see someone do a review on the Sedu Rev because most people did on the Sedu Flat iron. Thx again and happy holidays
I had this as a Christmas 2007 present from my bf and it's still working great. It does a really good job straightening my hair and never dries my hair out. So for anyone looking for a perfect flat iron, i recommend this, it's worth the money.
i watched this video a few weeks ago and you totally convinced me to get a sedu. i was close to getting a ghd but i hate that the temp isnt adjustable like the chi. anyways i got the new model in pink and i love it! im very happy with my sedu. it works perfectly for curling and straightening. thanks for your review

I just have to say, that you're video was the most annoying video I've ever watched in my life. You're voice is annoying, and you're 3rd grade vocabulary isn't helping you any at all. If your burning your hair, you shouldn't straighten your hair in the first place. Not to mention, your hair isn't even straight. I'm sorry, but this is the biggest fail I've seen in a while.
i think the reason the price goes up is because they replace it with a newer model. oh i guess pink wasn't selling as much as the black and it was before they were replacing that model- so they were selling the pink ones for way cheaper. watch out for deals like that on folica.
Hi, I'm in search of a new hair iron. I've had 2 flat irons my whole life, one was a professional and the other one was a crappy salon one. I have thin, fine, dark brown hair. I'm in desperate need of a FAST heating flat iron.
How long does it take to straighten your curly hair?
The Sedu Revolution uses a PTFC heating unit. It generates Far-infrared heat which is the best next to ICHS, but that is only available with 6 layers of pure ceramic.
It doesn't take long at all for it to heat up. Like within maybe 40 sec. I would go with this one. It works great for me. When I blow dry my hair it may take me about 15 mins to straighten.
Hey thanks. It glides through your hair and doesn't pull on it. I use to use the Walmart straighteners too and I know what your talking about. Thats why I love this one sooo much.
Yes I would recommend this. You can turn the temp the whole way up to 450 amd it wont burn your hair. Which is what it sounds like you need. Now, I have heard that the FHI Runway model is REALLY good for your type of hair. But, they are around $500. So, I would get this if I were you. Thanks for the comment. Hope this helps.
I got one yesterday, but I'm not really sold on it .. because when I used it, it didn't really glide down my hair smoothly like it's supposed to .. I don't know, but for some reason, it like paused and caused creases & it did actually snag a little bit .. I don't know, maybe I guess it's cuz it's new so the plates aren't used to being used yet? I don't know .. hopefully it'll work better next time.
I would get the GHD prob because thats what my mom just got and OMG it is sooooo good. Although I still love my Sedu. I will soon. Prob when I get back. Thanks

Chi is pretty decent too if you know how to use it. The reason you complain how it burns your scalp because you hardly have any hair....LOL.
I have a Sedu though.

also GHD has the same 1 temperature as the Chi, so if you have really thick hair, it isn't for you then!

i love ur video.
i really want this straightener for my 18th!
i have a quick question.
does this straightener ruin the ends of ur hair..like pull on it??
i have a really crappy walmart straightener and it does that to my hair. it litterly pulls on it.
i put heat protectant and leave in conditioner every day to help my hair.
