@alvintkh SLIGHTLY, but nothing to this extent, it seems to be the nature of the design, but never had i or anyone else who uses it (i run a recording studio) had any problems with it, and it has never interfiered with my/anyone's playing at all. Great pedal, i like it.
@shadowskater5671 ouh ic..thanks ...my speed cobra have this kind of problem too... i think is a natural thing...but still duno how to eliminate the squeky sound thing of the left board...sigh . if i change to a one...also the problem gonna happen again n again...zzzzzZ...
the allen screw has come loose inside the slave side bearing housing inside the vari-pitch beater holders axle. the pedal has to be dismantled and the allen screw re-tightened down.
I have the same pedal with the same problem. I have tried everything to eliminate it withno luck. I went to the local music store and every iron cobra double pedal there had the exact same issue. I talked with tama and they say its supposed to be that way! It works fine, its pretty smooth.....just seems like really bad manufacturing to me. If you look closely the entire inner bearing is what moves! I am gonna sell ine and get a Pearl pedal of some sort!
yeah i have the same problem and for the master beater i know that u gotta take the bater off the thing it tightens on to and tighten that. I think it's the same way with the slave beater but i can't get access to that part on the slave beater side.
i had problems like this and went to fix it and tightened the allen key bolt too tight and i broke the metal casing on the arm that holds the bearing and or though it hasent done anything yet it didn't do any good. so probs just leave it.
i've just had mine replaced.the bearing on the left was not sealed in properly with sillicone .the new one still has the problem but not as bad .the bearings have too much play between the moving parts.there is nothing you can do. TAMA will have to sort it it out with better parts
there's a small allen screw on the very top of the black arms that stand up on either side of the master pedal. this screw locks your bearings in place. this is probably what's causing your problem. but i see you have a new one. keep this in mind if it happens again, it is a common problem.
dude i have this problem on my dw7002s and i dont know why it is doing this. its my left beater and there is a hole on the bottom of the beater part but nothing fits in it to tighting it. its pissing me off because i cant twitch with it because the beater twitches on the shaft! im hoping i can return my pedals because im not that pleased with the 7000s, i should go with the pdp602 series double pedals because of low money, and plus im a beginner i watn to train my feet
call the dealer, if it's still under warranty, they'll replace it, i brought mine to an authorized tama dealer and they couldn't fix it, so i just sent it back
thats a quick fix, you gotta loosen the beater, slide it over and tighten the piece that the beater tightens down to......and the drum key that comes with the IC is the wrong size to tighten it
ive got the exact same problem on the right beater! i need to fix it because i live in the uk and my pedal is from the states, and its more hassle than its worth sending it back!
were u able to fix it? cause i just called up musicians friend and had them send me a new one, tama has a three year warranty on all their hardware, haha
same problem but my right one is loose

it looks like you may have lost a set screw. If you take it to the place you bought it the can probley replace the screw for free.
