Sorry but this ain't KM at all! The techniques used by those guys looks like MMA (tae kwon do, jiu-jitsu and boxing). I mean, there are arm locks, behind the back kicks... KM is direct and, as Venjra said below, with no rules.
the idea behind sparing in Krav Maga is if u can't finish the guy with first series of attack. U are looking at a serious fight on your hand because ur opponent knows what his doing. - sparing is important in Israel too.
This is a combat between two Krav Maga students. Its a belt graduation exam. Of course that during this combat u cannot aplly the no rules situation. This serves to apply punches and kicks learning to receiving them too and to avoiding them. This is not a train of Krav Maga neither a demo

This must be a High level exam, there is no head protector involved and both guys seems to have prior martial arts training. As I was told, Krav Maga is not a sport so this sparring is really cool, evidently the guys that made the armbar was far more superior than the fancy TKD kicker. I believe Krav has a space in martial arts, is effective and quick for real fights, I have practiced it only ocacionally and I love it, no hold bared , no rules.
@Fernembo That's the reality of it. Too many in modern combat systems concentrate too much on fancy techniques. Nobody focuses on the basics
Why spin jump and kick and blow away energy vs perfecting a simple straight punch to the jaw that will KO someone or @ least seriously slow them down?
That's the whole philosophy with Krav. Offensive Defense. Hit em hard, keep em down and get out alive... The rest? Is just argument.
This art is better than BJJ in the real world for this reason: In the street there is no tatami, if you get hit and go to the ground you are out for real.
krav maga is pimp... this is a shiste video... my buddy takes it and i have seen him disarm 2 ppl with knifes and end up knocking them out cold in 2 punches... strongkarate karate is bitch go suck knob
everything changes in a real situation and im agree a lot depends in the practitioner not the system or styles everything is effective if you do the right thing, even an inexpert can be lucky and hit an expert maybe in the neck and the expert can dead...
hey ingud do you think you could win to an israelian elite soldier, awake man, krav maga its made for war, if you wanna impress your girlfriend keep on bjj.
Brazilian jiu jitsu is superior ON THE GROUND... not STANDING UP. krav wins standing, jiu jitsu wins on the ground. I guaruntee a krav guy could take out a jiu jitsu guy in a REAL street fight. PRIDE fighting is real street fighting.

saludos

Double kicks, back spins, jumping around, low hands... according to me this is more a point fight style than an effective defense...

beau combat dur !

Truth: all these kicking/punching techniques seen in this video fail miserably against Aikido.
