George you fucking bastard, why did you have to get old and die before i ever saw a live show? One of the greatest comedians of all time, a genious of our time, R.I.P
I sat here and bawled my eyes out. That's not something easy for a 16 year old boy to admit but George affected me on a personal level in ways that I don't even know of yet. He inspires me to think for myself, to question, to laugh, and to enjoy this short life while I still can. I'm still crying while I type this up, but thank you so much for this video. The pictures were great, the clips were perfect, and the music obviously was touching.
that was a sad day in june 2008 when he died ill never forget it watching the stand ups on hbo rip george i wish you were still here with us we need you. your making them laugh in heaven.
I'm a coldhearted bastard, the only thing that gets emotion out of me is them kittehs, so nothing can make me cry, but this was very close if I say so! =,)
We put too much stock in celebrities and famous people. But there were only 2 famous deaths that touched me enough where I really felt the loss. Like it was someone I actually knew passing. George was one Douglas Adams was the other.
This actually made me cry. George Carlin is and will always be my idol. His comedy molded me into the sarcastic bastard I am today. I started listening to him when I was 12, I am 37 now. Miss you George
Words to live by. You know, everything he said was true. And he made us laugh at ourselves. What a great man. I will show my kids his video's when they are of age to understand the meanings.
George Carlin, even the name has a certain air of command. There will never be another like him. He opened my eyes to so many things and gave me years of laughs, I be truly miss him. The sad truth is he died, and I think he's prefer it that way.
Not sure where he is, but I hope he's happy.
I think I speak for all the Carlin fans when I say, Thanks.
i want to truly, with all my heart thank you for making this video, you chose an amazing song, amazing video clips, pictures, and the editing was beautiful, i just searched for three hours for this video of your because i want it on my ipod. THIS is how i want to remember George Carlin, forever. Thank you. RIP george
Such a great guy. He wasn't afraid to say what he felt and he made you laugh when he did. He challanged us to think, and not too many people do that anymore. We need more people like George Carlin, but we can never have another one. RIP.

Awesome tribute. The man is a fucking legend. I can't believe it's been a year already. He may be gone, but his ideas will live on in his fans. "I don't have pet peeves; I have major psychotic fucking hatreds." - George Carlin
There will never be a human being as wise or great as George Carlin was. He lives on with us forever, let the fake god you hated bless your poor soul you crazy old man. We all love you in our own fucked up non stalker ways. My mentor, my inspiration and my way of killing 90 minutes on a saturday night without mastrubating. Goodbye Mr Carlin, you will be missed...
Great Video, think ill make my own tribute tho, not bein selfish. Just self righteous dumbshitness. Oh wells. 100/5. Good Job kid.
TUESDAYS ARE RIGHT OUT! Carlin was a beautiful homosexual man. He was the best homosexual in the world! His name was George. His hobbies included homosexuality, quiet walks on the beach and homosexual practices. Once he quit smoking, but not homosex! He loved to engage in homosexual practices every day except Tuesday for some reason. I don't know why. Maybe it was because he was a homosexual.
"Every single fucking time someone opens his mouth to say some stupid shit, PLEASE let a Carlin fan be there, the world will be saved that way.."
Hell yea man. You inspired me to make my comment, so thank you, and I totally agree...Love through relentless honesty, be it brutal honesty or not, is the purest of expressions.
I'm not religious, but I'm very spiritual. And Good Ol George, as usual, spoke views that seemed to come straight out of me. It's disgusting how beautiful he is.
One of our BEST has left us and it's so so very, very sad, but let's think of George's life lost, HE'S FREE of all the BULLSHIT, NO MORE MUST HE TOLERATE the crap that we all hate.
Bye bye George, I almost wish there was a hereafter just so we might see him once more but he'd just tell me to GO FUCK MYSELF.
Hell yea man! This is a sweet video! His stand up is the shit! I first remember him, growing up from Bill and Ted! Ringtingtingilingiling! May he live on through those movies too!!!

wow wut a true reasoning of voice cemented honesty... id say now he was the very 1st comedion i ever found the truth in... please please rip george, bernie and issac...
Great Tribute. I really miss him, and agree with your sentiments. We got a lot in common it looks like (Besides your love for Man of Fire, yuck). George is awesome.... He meant a lot and I will never forget him.
I was laughing and crying at the same time during this video.
He was, and still is the greatest comedian of all time. He was able to connect with his audience better than any other comedian could. On a down-to-earth level, on a psychological level, and on a philosophical level.
His words and stand up have served as not only entertainment in my life, but an inspiration to always be myself and never what somebody ELSE wanted me to be. We miss you and love you George!

I can`t believe that there r people that liked a piece of shit like Carlin! Than again the 1 point I do agree with is there r alot of stupid people in the world and he`s the proff! Rot in hell Carlin!
I can't believe that someone could be so negitive. Have you no respect for the dead? George may not be one of your favorite people, but don't bash him on a tribute to hime that we fans appreciate.
You Are A Disgusting Excuse For A Human. You Are One Of The Dumbest People I've Ever Seen Say Something. I Am Surprised You Can Use A Computer You Stupid Jackass. May You Rot In What Ever Idiotic Idea You Have For Hell May Die A Slow And Terrible Death.
If You Didn't Like You Didn't Have To Say A Goddamned Thing.
You Didn't Even Have To Look It Up You Smug Cocksucker
So its ok for Carlin to insult me call me stupid since U believe in God but if I say something against "the almighty carlin" I`m a cocksucker, jackass and being negative? We all have different believes and opinions but if someone says I`m stupid and insults my views I should be able to do the same! Right?
It's okay for George Carlin to insult you and it's okay for you to insult George Carlin. He spent his life fighting censorship. The fact that you can say "Rot in hell" and not have hell shown as **** is partly due to George Carlin. So go ahead and condemn him. It's what he would have wanted.
Words have their own power. Something that George Carlin has shown time and time again. whether or not you take offense is up to you. Also, this is comedy, it's for entertainment. If you can't see past what's in front of you and see the underneath layer, that's up to you. To everyone else who can see that underneath layer, we laugh and enjoy it.
i cant stop listening to these videos ive inserted over 50 george carlin videos to my favorite i will keep his stuff with me forever. motherfucker cocksucker
I just bought the last book released by him, it is called a "Orgy of George", it is his three previous books, plus some of his last material he produced. I also want to get this dvd box set called "All My Stuff" and it is all of his material from the begining to the end. This is a $200 dollar box set, but it will be worth it.
I was thankful to see his last HBO special in Santa Rosa, CA at the Wells Fargo Center For The Arts. George Carlin was and is the best comedian of all time!
Words cannot describe how much I appreciate his views and his sense of humor. I've been watching him since I was 10 years old and he has made such an impact on my life like no other. I've cried more for him than for people I knew personally.
I also ment to say that he was also a great comedian and Philosopher.
He's gotten lifetime achievement awards, but what the point of them if no one but his family will see them! A star is something that millions of people would see.
Inciteful philosophers of modern times. Also, future generations won't know how great he was. They'll listen to his material and think so what, and then we can say Oh, Yeah, well George has a star on the most famous sidewalk in history, so there young people. I mean come on some people are comparing George to DANE COOK! Obivously Carlin is better. So, he should be honour with a star. George did great things for society and he doesn't get a star, but Donald "full of himself" Trump does!
Who cares about the star and fame. He was a Star by himself, and I'm glad I had the cnance to see some of his light. "Walk of Fame" or not, eternity will undisputedly be granted to him. He deserves it.
It would be just another way to cement him in history. I've noticed that many people who have made great contributions to society, they are honoured with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. I mean, come on Kermit the Frog and Mickey Mouse, one of George's most hated animated characters have a star on the hollywood walk of fame, and their Puppets! George I think deserves at least as much honour as Stupid Mickey Mouse, don't you agree? Also, we know him as one of the best and most.....
remembered by his many loyal fans. There is a reason we are loyal George, and that is because you as I already said made us see life and society for what its was and is, No Bullshit. I ask for a moment of silence to show respect of the this great man, who taught us so much. I was also wondering who we George Carlin fans have to contact to get George a star on the Walk of Fame. One of my life goals was actually to see him live and maybe meet him in person, this is sadly never to be now. He will be forever...
I was enjoying myself with one of his monologues (live from the beacon theather) on a sunny sunday afternoon and i thought "i have to see him while he still alive"... The next Day i realize that was never going to happen... the weird part of this particular anecdote was that the same time i said i wanted to see him live, he was dying... but hey, Im just sharing the experience...don´t come to my house and try to lynch me out motherfuckers... R.I.P. The greatest comedian ever...The Modern Man GC
how much of an asshole can u be to talk ill of the dead?! the majority of us loved this man for what he spoke, and every word was true, joke or not. next time u have words of disgrace, keep them to yourself.
There was Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl, Dick Gregory...Carlin..these guys dont come along very often...The Eddie Murphy's and Seinfeld's will always be around....Thanks George..I'll miss your stuff

You are dearly missed by me and all your fans. See ya on the other side man. I'll never forgot the day he died, I cried for hours on end. My hero and the greatest comedian of all time.

Excellent video!

Oh man, I'll miss you George. George Carlin was not only the greatest comedian that ever lived, but he was the greatest modern Philosopher the world has ever known. He tought us to see society for what it was, no Bullshit. When I heard that he died, it put a immediate damper on my day. I actually cried the evening that I found out about his death. One of my life goals was actually to see him live and maybe meet him in person, this is sadly never to be now. He will be forever...

I can`t believe that there r people that liked a piece of shit like Carlin! Than again the 1 point I do agree with is there r alot of stupid people in the world and he`s the proff! Rot in hell Carlin!

I can't believe that someone could be so negitive. Have you no respect for the dead? George may not be one of your favorite people, but don't bash him on a tribute to hime that we fans appreciate.

redmr2na 3 years ago
So its ok for Carlin to insult me call me stupid since U believe in God but if I say something against "the almighty carlin" I`m a cocksucker, jackass and being negative? We all have different believes and opinions but if someone says I`m stupid and insults my views I should be able to do the same! Right?
JOECNYC3 3 years ago
It's okay for George Carlin to insult you and it's okay for you to insult George Carlin. He spent his life fighting censorship. The fact that you can say "Rot in hell" and not have hell shown as **** is partly due to George Carlin. So go ahead and condemn him. It's what he would have wanted.
Stev01213 3 years ago
Words have their own power. Something that George Carlin has shown time and time again. whether or not you take offense is up to you. Also, this is comedy, it's for entertainment. If you can't see past what's in front of you and see the underneath layer, that's up to you. To everyone else who can see that underneath layer, we laugh and enjoy it.

The funny thing about this is that George would have probably hated tribute videos about him after his death.
Still, this one wasn't half bad.
RIP

Words cannot describe how much I appreciate his views and his sense of humor. I've been watching him since I was 10 years old and he has made such an impact on my life like no other. I've cried more for him than for people I knew personally.

I also ment to say that he was also a great comedian and Philosopher.
He's gotten lifetime achievement awards, but what the point of them if no one but his family will see them! A star is something that millions of people would see.
redmr2na 3 years ago
Inciteful philosophers of modern times. Also, future generations won't know how great he was. They'll listen to his material and think so what, and then we can say Oh, Yeah, well George has a star on the most famous sidewalk in history, so there young people. I mean come on some people are comparing George to DANE COOK! Obivously Carlin is better. So, he should be honour with a star. George did great things for society and he doesn't get a star, but Donald "full of himself" Trump does!
redmr2na 3 years ago
Who cares about the star and fame. He was a Star by himself, and I'm glad I had the cnance to see some of his light. "Walk of Fame" or not, eternity will undisputedly be granted to him. He deserves it.
Rest In Peace, Mr.Carlin.
YDWKnow 3 years ago 2
It would be just another way to cement him in history. I've noticed that many people who have made great contributions to society, they are honoured with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. I mean, come on Kermit the Frog and Mickey Mouse, one of George's most hated animated characters have a star on the hollywood walk of fame, and their Puppets! George I think deserves at least as much honour as Stupid Mickey Mouse, don't you agree? Also, we know him as one of the best and most.....
redmr2na 3 years ago 2
Society. He did more then He'll ever know. He sure as hell deserves a Star on the Walk of Fame, a lot more then that Asshole Donald Trump!
redmr2na 3 years ago
remembered by his many loyal fans. Even though George would hate it, I feel like he should have his own star, for his contributions to...
