  • i love him...

  • Boy am i glad I can block some these ignorant bad comments about Andy on my video..those who say nice things about him THANK YOU!!

  • Yep that song sucked, I am ashamed to be born in that era lol.

  • I'm not gay, but I'm secure enough in my manhood to say he was a sexy man. Great era to live in!

  • Comment removed

  • @ Maurayne, Yep! @KingSmegma, @joannadunaj Right on! March 7th,1978 for me. I decided on repeated listens that this is a pretty cool song.

  • @nikkilev78 my birthday is the same.... I cried a little inside when i saw this...lol

  • Lots of pisces in here.

  • Facebook challenge!

  • Apparently this song was #1 when I was born. Strangely, I don't know that I've ever heard it before now! Seems alright.

  • @nikkilev78

Same here, are you really me?

  • @nikkilev78 i was born the same time

  • Try to compare Andy Gibb in 1978 who was 19 y.o with Justin Bieber, now in 2012 who is 19 almost. Who is the better?

  • @educaintel andy gibb of course hes our angel rip

  • @educaintel andy gibb is better of course love and rip our angel andy

  • It's so ducking sad that young people today have so few artists to look to for musical talent. Looking back at the 70's we thought the great music would only get better. As I grow closer & closer to 50 I look at music today and honesty say "where the fuck did the good music go"? Shit, I thought after Hansen we'd hear the end of teeny bop,,,,,man was I wrong!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing solo at 1:01. I think his name is Peter.

  • Way better than the studio cut!!!! How often do you see that?

  • LO MAXIMO ANDY. PRECIOSO.

  • Now* xD

  • Ahh the days where talent shone bright and not like nowadays where how pretty you are and how auto tuned your voice is nowadays. Wish I could live in the 70's and hear real music.

  • Joe Walsh did so well here.

  • @MusicbyBenjamin I read your comment as "Joe Walsh died so were all here."

Man, I was beginning to freakout.

  • @AWSOMEPOSSUM16 Sorry!! I didn't mean that!!! I meant that Joe Walsh *DID* so well here. If that was happening, I would freak out, too. BECAUSE IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

  • @MusicbyBenjamin No reason to say sorry dude, I'm the one who misread your comment like a dumbass. XD

  • @AWSOMEPOSSUM16 Everyone let's there "holes" out once and a while xD.

  • song must be for victoria princapal almost like she did this he loved her so much then his death. makes no sence.wat a waste of life andy u will never b4gotten.love always an 4ever

  • Love that 70's keyboards near the end.

  • @ydnas3242 she's always been sh**....

  • VP is history.never to be remembered.sorry...devils daughter does the song say?

  • @ydnas3242 Oh Lord that is so cruel, but kinda funny :P

  • Tiene tantas buenas canciones este artista pero a mi me agrada mas este tema.

  • I think i am not a Jesus creation as new born but here in mexico mr peña nieto insists

  • First time I saw Andy Gibb, I simply stopped and STARED at him. True, he is gone, and his music remains...but inside our hearts, he is never gone and will never be. Get over it? How? Can you get over the death of your best friend? Of your brother or sister? Andy became part of our family and our life, so we still hurt to think of him gone and we cry in that pain. Get over it? No. I choose not to. To do that would mean part of ME has died, too...the best part of me.

  • @ArashiFan4Ever I agree with you. Andy will always be someone I admire and love and I get flak from people telling me to live for today and forget him and his music but I don't listen. I'm in my 20s too, so that means I never saw him in concert or anything, but I am not changing my music tastes to please anyone. I am sad he's dead, always will be and no one can change how I feel.

  • From an era when music was music

  • From reading all the comments on here, its obvious to me that alot of Andy Gibb/Bee Gees fans, are very messed up in the head.I loved them too,but my God!Some of you sound as if Andy died last night or something! How can you get sad about someone who died 25 years ago?Hes gone...his music isn't though,so get over his death already and enjoy the music he left.

  • I love how the other guitar player looks like he's effed off his face whilst playing his guitar and absolutely loving his music that he's producing

  • @GibbyGibbyGibb oh :( it makes me sad :( I wish he were still alive!

  • @musiciansfamily You had front row tickets,Lucky you!!!!!!!I wish Iwas there..............

  • I think if Andy were here today he would still be a force to reckon with. I miss him always. Andy's death among other great entertainers shall forever leave a whole in our heart from time to time, but their music lives on.

  • I'm in love <3

  • @MsEliza35 So am I ♥ - always will be I think! what a damn damn shame that guy is dead......I love the Bee Gees, but Andy was better in my eyes....

  • Heaven got an Angel back when Andy died. My soul misses him everyday. Love you Andy Forever.

  • AHHHHH!!! When was free!! I miss those days.

  • He looks like Heath Ledger.

  • @poptartbrat i loooove it when he nervously bites his lip. it is only there for a second, my I love his nervous mannerisms. I wonder if he did them on purpose ??

  • @mintgumdropz1 I don't know! He was unfortunately on cocaine when he died, what a waste!

  • Comment removed

  • The phrase "But I can't leave her while I need her more than she needs you" is wise and witty.

  • Cocaine is devastating to one's soul, folks. Please dedicate your lives to your first spouses!!!

  • AGUANTEEEEEEE ANDY GIBB !!!!!!!

  • Andy Gibb will be sexy for all of eternity..

  • Hace casi 6 años le dedique esta cancion a alguien , despues de una breve pausa , y hoy lo vuelvo a hacer ... gracias Andy Gibb , siempre seras recordado.

  • Another timeless classic:-)

  • I'll be the hot-diggie-darn!!!...I didn't know that Napolen Dynamite and his buddy Pedro were Andies' band mates...You learn sum' new everyday!!!

  • @phambo101 I got a laugh out of the part about the guy looking like Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.. He does look like him or his dad...

  • I so so so so love him hee hee!! :) just a shame he was more popular in the USA than in the UK. No Andy memorabilia whatsoever in this country :(

  • @GibbyGibbyGibb

The UK is weird sometimes, lol! ...

...growin' up 70s "Tiger Beat" USA, ...my sis LOVED him!! haha!

  • @tiptoetonight i remember reading my older sister's back issues of Tiger beat and asked her whom Andy Gibb was and she gave me the wierdest look !!! i thought he was hot, since I was only 12 ! lol.

  • @GibbyGibbyGibb i sorry. :(

  • the first celebrity to ever b on my bedroom wall !!! SO HOT!! Sexy brown eyes & that voice at age 11 he was 19 & 2 young for me & now Im 45 and wishing he was still here!!! Love you Andy GIBB

  • @wizzo194 He and Shawn Cassidy were my first posters...thank you for reminding me....lovely memories from my youth.

  • To all you Carolina Hurricanes fans (like myself): This was the #1 song in the USA when Tomas Kaberle came into the world (March 2, 1978).

  • God... I miss him so much... I didnt even know this man.. but I love him... Such a great talent..besides that he was soooooo hot.

  • Seamed like life was innocent back then. Long live Andy.

  • OMG this song is older than all my friends-- the guitar music is awesome n so is the song...luuuvvv it...

  • @shulsey84 I ain't complaining! ;))

  • HELLO! there were gangs and terrorism back them remember IRAN and there has ALWAYS been gangs..u ever seen the movie warriors?? NYC has always had them and this music was big in NYC, FOOL!

  • !GORGEOUG!!!! I LOVE ANDY GIBB!!!!

  • I saw that guitar player on stage with Keith Richards & Chuck Berry. Diggin' those satin jackets. I always was into the Brothers Gibb but even at 10 I kept that a secret.

  • @shulsey84 life isn't any fun if you don't get silly now and then; you gave me a laugh

  • @shulsey84 for a woman it's camel toe, for a guy "moose knuckle"; seriously, my daughter taught me that

  • this is a nice song

  • love this song but what a waste of a life

  • Cuanta vida desperdiciada. Say no to drugs

  • Thanks for sharing!! Miss you Andy.....you died too young!! :(

  • Cutie....

    Hottie.....

  • Gorgeous looking guy. Such a charming little face! xx

  • Good heavens, he was HOT!

  • @randyandy1960: IN YOUR MIND " by andrew gerbasi is a nice song. Thanks for turning me on to it.

  • andy gibb always look young, because he die young.

  • Andy Gibb died in March, 1988, five days after turning 30. He did not commit suicide, and he and Victoria Principal never married. The official cause of death was listed as myocarditis, but it was very much caused by heavy cocaine use ... or at least that added to it.

  • @LaraHayes1986 Then I recount what i've said about how old I was when he died: I was NOT 9, I was 20. I thought it was 1977 ? I read it was a viral infection, that caused it. I really didn't pay any attention, because I was not a fan back then. i loved the Bee Gee's but I had not been a fan of Andy's, just his music. Yes,i didn't pay any attention to HIm, just loved his music, go figure :/ Thank u for clearing that up for me. I had read what info i got, off a webpage.

  • @LaraHayes1986 Exactly! I hate it that he died the way he did, but I think only family and friends could've helped...fans would be useless...as I would've been at that time! :(

  • @LaraHayes1986 He died because of the damage done to his heart from drug use in the PAST that caused inflammation. That's what myocarditis is. He wasn't doing drugs at the time, but was doing SOME drinking. He was also doing work on more songs for a comeback. The breakup with Victoria Principal had a lot to do with his drug downspiral. He wasn't using anymore. When he died, he was in a small house on the estate of his brother, Barry.

  • @LaraHayes1986 , you should work for the military or government. Lol. It was suicide I am afraid. Look it up at the library using the old fish system and view all the places you wish about that event, there is all the info you need. Only as time has gone by has sources seen fit to try and twist the truth with too much censorship cause that kind of thing is a little harsh. Harsh? He died of suicide. If not then the church would have changed it's stance on his death.

  • @LaraHayes1986 Thank u.. so many people like to make false statements on why he died...

  • I love this song! RIP, Andy....

  • Andy Gibb passed away in around 1980 of stomach complications. As he got a bit older, he looked just like his older brother, Barry ~ vey handsome!

  • @sonyvet1 No, he didn't pass away from stomach issues, stupid! He passed away from myocarditis which is an inflammation of the heart muscle, pretty much caused by a viral infection which he had a the time or did have!

  • @sonyvet1 sorry, andy commited suicide during his divorce with victoria princeipal. RIP. he was awesome!

  • The guy looks clean to me. Hard to believe he was drugged out all the time like the media says.

  • Damn he had horse teeth LOL!

  • @azucho98 Nothing compared with Dionne Warwick!

  • Love the 70's sounding keyboards at 3:42.

  • Wonderful performance by my beautiful Andy. Pure talent and natural beauty.

  • i gree,

  • He died on the Exact Day that two of my best friends were Born... March 10th '88

I wish he were still with us. I grew up listening to his music and The Beegees too, cause my mum was their Biggest fan. Their songs are amazing!

  • In my "perfect world", Andy Gibb is still alive (my 1st record ever bought), 911 never happened, and things are like they used to be...

  • @ginodetroit wow, that is my ideal world too but in my ideal world, I would also know Andy Gibb! lol! :D

  • Sad what happened...

  • Who is the bass player, he's great !

  • @88cutty That's Pedro's dad (you know, "VOTE FOR PEDRO" from Napoleon Dynamite)...Hope that helps!!!

  • if Andy was alive he would still be kicking some ass!!! he was something special!! just listen to those lyrics!

  • I miss Andy Gibb. If he were hear, he would still be going strong. He has a real soft energy. Julie

  • That is true- Love is thicker than water , but he doesn't CARE at all, coz she loves Fiona x

  • This song is not an easy one to play or sing, so credit to those who made it happen especially Andy. He was a good performer and that goes without saying. Back then Disco, was starting to get a bad rap, but alas, real talent cannot be laughed at.

  • we remember you Andy, con cariño te recordamos.

  • Everytime I hear this or any of his other songs or songs from that era, I want to go back...bad.

  • @handymanm man, you nailed it! what a great time to be young! no cell phones, texting, facebook, gangs, AIDS, terrorists, just people together. man o man what a era, what memories of youth that won't ever be that easy again.

  • @oddwiak "...gangs, AIDS, terrorists...?!!!" Were you seriously born a week ago or something? Those three symptoms existed long before this song was released!!!...

  • @phambo101 Your an IDIOT....AIDS didn't exist yet FOOL...and if it did it sure wasn't LONG before...and there had NEVER been a terrorist attack in America...you could fly w/o ID and you didn't even go through a metal detector.........Drive by shootings were UNHEARD of...they fought each other with bottles and chains...not guns...how fucking old are you

  • @oddwiak True. There was evil in the world, but not a part of everyday life.My niece asked me what we did before we had cell phones, I said "We were where we said we would be, when we said we would be there". If I could go back in time for a week; back when I had my parents, my best friend and the feeling of-being loved unconditionally, being safe and secure & hopeful for the future, I would give a week of time I have left. I feel sad for today's youth who never had that feeling & never will.

  • @taralo16 Agreed, I find myself wishing for simplier times, when people had some sense, respect and boundaries. Along with all the other things that you said.

  • @oddwiak man I just say'd the same thing. No need for the technology because we were FREEEEE....We were free to go where-ever we wanted to go and us kids had each other's backs. Now the kids only wanna make hate websites and kill or hurt each other causing some kids to commit internet suicides. man back in these days when i was a kid we were outside until the streetlights came on and nobody stay'd indoors. that was a death sentence for anybody under the age of 20!!!

  • @oddwiak Agreed! Loved living in the '70s! :) Sad for today's youth! :(

  • @oddwiak I believe there was STILL gangs but everything else you mentioned is true.

  • Anyone know who the lead guitarist is and what he is doing now?

  • Like I said he didn't belong to this world, he was unreal. Greatest gibb. Blessed are those who had the good fortune to see him in person.

  • @foreverstone1 He was absolutely unreal! Such a gorgeous perfect beautiful angel that God couldn't even stand it and had to have him back! Love you Andy!!!!!

  • Was he circumcised? I guess he had a long foreskin....

  • @marcosmarinheiro what a question geez! where IS your mind??

  • Was he circumcised?

  • I was just talking to a friend comparing Andy with Karen Carpenter. In an interview, Karen spoke highly of Andy Gibb's music. How ironic and sad they both left us in their early 30s. Something about the timbre of his voice gave me chills - what someone else wrote, voice of an angel - I think he was the male counterpart to Karen. Haunting, beautiful vocals over some of the best pop music ever recorded.

  • @falldownhard thank you for the info,! do you know which interview is that?

  • He had it all and just didnt realize it! His passing still upsets me, he was awesome! rip Andy!

  • @Whiteshoals Yeah. I'm still kind of broken up over Mozart's death!

  • @Whiteshoals

    I agree.

  • Andy Gibb was unreal!

  • Who is the guitarist playing Walsh's parts? Did a nice job!

  • Love the momentary shot of Wolfman Jack at the end! Oh yeah , the song was great too.

  • Holy cow! The drummer from the Climax Blues Band.

  • Comment removed

  • well in that case he should have married me too! Shame I wasn't born to see the 70s! I'd have treasured him!- many girls would have I am sure!

  • He should've married me! He's gentle manlines, and men like him are rare to find.

  • He should've married me! He's gentle manlines, and men like him are rare to find.

  • what year did he died ?>

  • @kosolo1988 '88- sad year :'-(

  • The voice of an angel...had every 8 track and album this hunk of a man ever made

  • Yep. He sure did.

  • Comment removed

  • He should have married Farrah Fawcett or Olivia Newton John, 2 gorgeous blondes!

  • He should've married Christy McNichol.

  • QUE PENA LO BUENO DURA POCO...DESCANSA EN PAZ POR SIEMPRE ANDY.

  • FOREVER YOUNG !!!!!

  • i'm not gay but fuk me he was a beautiful dude! I also want his jacket!

  • I love this guy....

  • This is my favorite song of Andy's. If you listen to the songs he wrote on "Flowing Rivers", he really was in a different musical vein than his brothers. I think that he would have eventually moved into more of a country rock style had he lived. There's a huge Eagles influence on a song like "Flowing Rivers." I think Andy would have moved into the country music realm had he lived.

  • love Andy's voice but i mis the original musicians that made this song a record hit with him. good to see Andy tho.

  • me and my sister are crazy for Andy!! he is our idol too!

  • This song still brings tears to my eyes 30 so years later !!!

Thank You God for giving us Andy Gibb , if only for a little while !!!

It's always the stars that shine brightest , that end up falling first !!!

  • andy gibb is my idol

  • Sounds like this song was written about her," devils daughter"

  • love this and shadowdancing <3

  • its a shame he died 5 days after his 30th birthday. He was a really good singer.

  • Joe Walsh played slide-guitar on the original recording.

  • La mejor musica ,en la mejor etapa de la vida. inigualable!

  • So talented. Great voice. I miss him.

  • so raw..pure...genuine...music at its best..only in the 70s..

  • OMG!! My friends and I were all Koo-Koo for him, back in the day.. He should have lived a full life....

  • @ralphyization he was gorgeous wasn't he!! I am not around in the 70s but he rocks and i love his music and he was sooo handsome! his music lives on!

  • @SweetSesatia He was one of our "dreamboats" haha from back in the day...

  • @ralphyization I am the same for him, but now not then, as I wasn't born then!! lol! I wish he were still here.....he knocks all today's male singers out the water, for looks talent and personality!

  • @70sdiscobabe I was about 14, 15 years old, when he was all the rage!! To tell you the truth, (shame), I had just about forgot about him! I would, however remember him whenever I'd hear the BeeGees. Don't forget, though, he wouldn't look so good NOW, as he did then! Too bad he couldn't have died of old age, though, eh?

  • @ralphyization Oh of course, sad to think of how he may look now. Just so upsetting.....

He'd look fabulous if still alive now i am sure! still my ideal guy!

  • @70sdiscobabe He,s the spitting image of Barry and he still looks god, vven as grey as a fox by now ;-)))

  • @70sdiscobabe I have to agree...he looked just like Barry, and Barry has aged superbly!
