Thanks for the great memories. I was on the show in chicago 2X. Once in the '69 or 70 then again in '73. It was WGN channel 9 at that time and it aired live from 12 to 1pm.
I LOVED Bozo on WGN! I went to the show twice, first at age 6 with tickets my mom ordered for our family before I was born! I was chosen with the magic arrows for the Grand Prize game! WHAT A THRILL! I only made it to bucket no. 2 but I will never forget it & I still have my Bozo buttons. I also went with my 2nd grade class which was what the my school did every year for 2nd grade. It's such a shame there isn't anything like this for the kids anymore. I miss Bozo too!:(
I was born and raised in chicago..and I use to watch the bozo show everyday! I would imagine that I was at the show and I would act like if I was throwing the ping pongs in the cups, and I would get so excited when someone actually made it to cup number 6..I miss bozo.
@witchy,'gn tv has it's own channel here on youtube, and i have no idea what's stoppin' them from showin' those classic vids of all the shows we enjoyed watchin' as kids.
So that's how you get started betting on the horsies, lol! Looks similar to something we had here!Although we didn't get television until 1956 in Australia (in time for the Melbourne Olympic Games!)
