thank you so much ive been looking everywhere for this cartoon it was my favorite Porky Pig Cartoon growing up i always killed myself laughing while watching this one btw the musical cat became Sylvester later on
I loved this as a kid. I was always so sad when the cat died. Also, that song about the umbrellas? I still sing that when I'm walking around town hahah and "Make loooove with a guitar" hahaha.
As for the comment at the end of this video about digitally enhanced public domain, WTF? Public Domain is Public Domain! That means the copyright has run out! and anyone can use it for free.
Hmmm, I remember seeing this cartoon in color. However the animation is definitely very choppy. On my version of this (VHS Tape) I remember it being darker, probably too much use though.
The restoration hasn't been that good to this, either that or the recording transfer to youtube isn't that good. Either way, it's not nearly as clear as it could be.
The black and white version is the better watch for sure. Still, a fun short to watch.
Note the mannerisms when the cat is "conducting" the radio orchestra. Perhaps this was to emulate Carl Stalling's style?? Almost every frame of this beautifully restored gem is a work of art. Try pausing the action shots at random.
Oh, i love this cartoon too much)))

Jeez this recolored version is awful! They chopped out so much animation and the coloring is of such poor quality and taste!
