I love animation, especially 2-d, and I love the kind of feelings you get with this technique in comparison to flat animation like Flash. There just seems to be a lot of emotions not just in the figures faces, but the way they act. Petrov indeed is a master at animation and painting.

This film is like a moving painting. I mean, technically it is, but a literal painting that moves. Every single frame is like a Renoir come to life. It's absolutely magical. <3

Oscar is bad - too political. Poor Peter and wolf authors, i think they against this "game" too, but many people gonna dislike them because of that unfair award.

To my mind, despite the fact, that Oscar was gained by "Peter and the Wolf", animation by A. Petrov will remain in History of Art, because you'll never get tired of watching it, and every time you can reveal something new. It can be contemplated like orient ornaments or paintings. By the way, the youtube version is very bad in quality. And lots of details, colours and beauty in the whole are lost.
