Blue, from what I saw had more skill/physical ability. But red found a way to win (which is more important). Better coaching would help both of these guys out it seems. Blue had red pinned if he would have moved his arm out from under red's shoulder blade. Watching this gets me pumped for wrestling season

YES! the rule is both shoulder blades Or back of the neck need to be flat on the ground (blue was pinned), the second part of the rule is what brings up the question of whether it was a pin. The shoulder blades have to be inbounds. The red wrestler had the blue pinned for much longer than he had to keep him down but the shoulders were just out of bounds (that's why the coach is yelling "scoot him in"). So yes it was a pin. High school wrestling prohibits a pin where the traps pass the outer ring of the mat. If a pin is called in that situation it is not proper.
