Holy cow, that comic book rendition of an SDI engaging a Soviet missile launch is insanely simple. A few of the concepts are just not physically workable. The worst was airborne lasers destroying re-entry vehicles on their way in. No laser today can burn through a RV re-entry shield. They already survive megawatts per sq cm, no laser can burn away the ablative that fast. And the people who made this video knew this, that was a direct deliberate lie.

@JohnRobertPosey Umm I'm pretty sure you are confusing things. They don't fly missiles ouf of sky at Los Alamos. Maybe white sands, but still that's not a test of blowing away ICBMs over intercontinental ranges. To date almost all demonstrated missile intercepts are conducted over the Pacific and those are all midcourse intercepts. Not shooting at a booster early in flight from 1000's of miles away. YAL-1 can damage a booster from maybe 200 miles at best.
