Well it's more to the comics then the live-action series since the live show didn't had any villains from the comics like Abomination, Dr. Octopuss, and more. And did you know that Wolverine made his debut in The Incredible Hulk issue 177 in 1975? him and Hulk always tussle with each other as Adamantium is the only thing that hurts Hulk.
@Johnlindsey289 actually: The character Wolverine first appeared in the last panel of The Incredible Hulk #180 (his first full appearance is in issue #181, November 1974) and just one more thing: the Live Action series weren't meant to be exactly like the comics: His name was changed to David Banner for one thing and the producers wanted the Hulk to be red instead of green but Mr Lee insisted to keep the green skin-tone
