But it's either that or a life sentence where you set up prisons with staff that cost millions if not billions to run and then see that predator quite probably murdered behind bars by other inmates after they've learned about his crime. Since the death sentence has been ruled out, those are the only two plausible scenarios. I believe that even most criminals would choose at least some freedom over a life sentence that may mean death.

It only allows castration for aggravated rape, forcible rape, second degree sexual battery, aggravated incest, molestation of a child under 13, and aggravated crime against nature.
