Don't be suprised that the A380 will plummet down from the sky soon because it is the most dangerous plane in the sky. You people are morons thinking that Airbuses are are great planes and safer than Boeing. Guess what? The planes going down are A330s recently (aka Air France June 1 2009 from Rio De Janeiro). @ekateri28 yeah that was an issue with the peto tubes, supercool water (of 0- less than -60C) that freezes to the tubes because the waters so pure it goes that cold, the tube makes it not pure and makes it freeze etc

they have sorted the issue, the a340s had the same peto tunes and they changed that too

you need to get your facts right, FBW is better than no FBW and its safer, its not nicer for the pilot because it requires less pilot skill, which makes it better for american pilots (joke)

they had to make an aircraft this big sooner or later. this world is getting so full of tourists and the 747 was also getting close to 40 years old now..... although planes(other than old ww2 ones) do not really show age

The A380 is like the kid with the huge forehead or the villain with the giant brain. It looks good but the 747 will always be the queen of the skys in my opinion. If they raised the cockpit and the windows I think it would look awesome, but like RedoutesChoice said A380 in my mind 747 in my heart!

Yes.... The 747 cockpit is a bit too high... The A380 learned from that and to make it easier to control the designers lowered the cockpit... There is an increase aerodynamic efficiency too..

singapore airlines have an extensive route network to north america, europe, asia, africa and Australia/NZ. however if you're asking about the A380 - it only operates on the singapore-sydney route for now until the next one arrives later this year, reportedly to complement the kangaroo route to London.
