I know nothing about music or note names so ill explain the tuning, haha. The A string is tuned up 2 steps and the g string tuned down 1. and the high E is tuned to D

you mean A is tuned up 1 step (2 steps would be from A to C#, which would most likely break your string)

and the g is tuned down a half-step
