You are not going to star a league and star signing the Messi's Ronaldos's Rooney's off the bat remember this league is not that old really and it is an American league where many people feel that nobody cares about the sport and that is not true but Soccer is not the number 1 sport of this country but we have a very large population where there is plenty of room to have a top flight league but the Sport may not be the number 1 sport!
32 is not exactly washed up territory though he has peaked already this is not 26 year old Henry ,i would say washed up if he was about 36 and nobody else wanted him it is clear he could have played in other places in Europe if he wanted to. It does not suck this is how a league grows!
@JuanCarlos1474 A league does not grow by bringing in old well established players. It grows by bringing in young talent either from other leagues in other countries or within the league's own country. If the MLS is ever to establish itself firmly in American society, fans need to understand WHY football is the greatest sport in the world...the actual game and I think its a damn shame they think by bringing in football's equivalent to the AARP they can do that.
This is how you attract young international talent to the league because they want to play where the established players are, getting Henry at the age of 32 is not so bad he could have still played in Europe if he wanted to and played for a more second tier team like a hotspur which i believed were interested in him as well in the premiership in England. Also it just draws attention to the league which is good but you are right the league eventually needs the big name young established talent.
When I started playing soccer as a 5 year old in the late 80's we had one club team in my city. Now their are 5 and every high school in our area plays the sport. When I played college soccer it was not nearly as competitive just 10 years ago!
Their is a lot of negativity revolving around the MLS, but in my opinion I think its growth compared to any other league in history is astounding.
@kinsmobman dont talk when u cant even spell his name correctly. another big mouth. I doubt if u even watch the games, or i should say understanding the games.
@WonderfulHenry14 why would I want to watch a washed up french player who is constantly on the bench anyway? Beckham didnt' do shit when he came to the MLS except showed his pretty boyface on every talk show. After Ronaldo (Bra) was no longer useful because of his horrid weight and age, he no longer played for premier football clubs, instead having to resort playing for lower paying Brazilian clubs...
@WonderfulHenry14 And finally I've been watching games since the days of Kahn, Dida, Rivaldo, Romario and Batistuta so you can keep ur doubts to urself =)

@kinsmobman Henry will answer ur question on the pitch. So, whatever we are discussing here is useless and pointless.
