China and India are out growing the US and Europe at an incredible rate. China will pass us by in just a few years. Most of the steel and concrete used in the world goes into building their new cities and infistructure. Unless of course everything changes.
the difference between china/india and the EU though is that our poorer regions will get better funding, education and will generally be brought up to UK, France or German standards in a relatively short amount of time.
Even if China/India growth continued as it is, it will still be struggling to put infrastructure in place in 50 years time.
By that time, the European superstate will be atleast 2/3 times more powerful than the EU is right now.

Uhm, Europa can loose a lot of population befor have as little population as the USA,
EU today has 500milion people. US about 300mil. (Russia about 140mil)
So i don't know what's your point with population. We want to get rid a few mil of them. European Union has 114 people per km². The US has only 31 per km².

CJL: If the Nightmare of a European parliament and superstate becomes reality and the people of Britain tried to escape it's grasp at the eleventh hour, we would probably be stopped by ways of EU martial law then I believe our last hope of remaining independent would be America coming to our rescue and making Britain an American held protectorate!. If this does not occur then you can expect Civil War in and around 2020!!.

There stock index is taking a battering but whether this impacts their growth is beyond my knowledge.
I don't mind the chinese being powerful though, I highly doubt they have war on the agenda because trade seems to be flavour of century over there.

China and India are out growing the US and Europe at an incredible rate. China will pass us by in just a few years. Most of the steel and concrete used in the world goes into building their new cities and infistructure. Unless of course everything changes.

the difference between china/india and the EU though is that our poorer regions will get better funding, education and will generally be brought up to UK, France or German standards in a relatively short amount of time.
Even if China/India growth continued as it is, it will still be struggling to put infrastructure in place in 50 years time.
By that time, the European superstate will be atleast 2/3 times more powerful than the EU is right now.

Economic, Cultural, Polictical and maybe militarily... although I don't 100% believe that a European superstate would be primarily interested a mega army like US and China.
It cheaper to let the US fight wars and minimal effort in this respect keeps the public happier (happier than the alternative which is go in with guns blazing)
