I've finished this game many times, but I have a question: When you upgrade, for exemple let's say spears, does it only boost the damage of spear units, or does iy also boost the damage of spear mounted dudes abd spear masters?

My Personal Favourite Tactic is actually to become The Undead and buy the Halberdier, and then send them all in one Line. Even though they are Slow, they all clump together so you can take out the Demons right at the beginning...

Spamming spears is the noobest idea.

Best is to go for best units like the gaint troll and whirler

all i do is i use the wood elves buy the rangers and upgrade marksmanship they can usually shoot down any thing before it even reaches them =) and if u hv mages theyre like unstoppable

Marks 2

Spear 6

Halberd 2

exactly i usually send a king guard first and 4 spearman then 2 swordsman than 1 longsworsman in 1 row

Here is my stategy (kills all 8D) anyway, at begining choose wood elves, and just use swordsmen/archers until you can afford rangers, then just spam the rangers across the same line the whole time, only get ranged upgrades, only thing you should get other than these two things are scouts to charge with works well when enemy consentrating on the single line, never buy speed your men dont group together if you do ok hope this help ;)

haha try that with archers.. it pretty fun but then after half way there, start sending swordsman or spearsman cuz ull run into a problem if u dont send those mens

cool, though w/o speed it may die to massed archers or rangers (from one of the elves). Dont think comp does that though. Sum1 also mentioned the axemen. Orc of South really own this strat. U know this game has all the unit stats posted, all u have to know is armor, max dmg, and time. Then some quick calculations u realize the kings guard is the best but w/ upgrades since spearmen train fast, and kill archers, they are (you can't decrease preparation time and weak units gain a better upgrade).

u just have to type in unloc on the main menu and it'll take u to the cheat codes menu

No, it works either way. If they don't come out the center row, then it gets easier for your guys in that row to get across, thus making you win. If they do, then you just beat them down.

It's recommended, yes. But if you feel you need speed or armor more, go ahead. You'll eventually beat the game either way.

I was auto-sending my rangers while watching this video. Am 21/25 done so far and only recently am I having trouble, but the single line strategy works mostly except when the enemy decides to use a push-back (like horses of whirlers). 22/25 now >.>;

Yeah, this doesn't work all of the time, but like I said in the video, there's no penalty for losing, and you can use the money you get from losing to upgrade more, so it's really impossible to lose the game.

The whirlers seems to be unstoppable when you use rangers huh,I only need to conquer the demon's region and th night elves region and Im finished but those damn whirlers won't seem to be beaten by my flailers.
