I have been fixing & building Pc's for a while now & Windows 7 should not be skipped. I have never saw a Windows Distro ever so stable. Now Vista is some junk & I run various Linux Distro's also including OSX Leopard & Windows 7 is stable as OSX & yes before (You Mac Fan Boys Attack),But I do own macs &OSX is still a better OS atleast if you are a professional trying to make money,then OSX is the stuff,but I have to give it to Microsoft,Windows 7 is surely worth updating to,The beta rocks.

Anybody who knows PCs knows Vista isn't nearly as bad as it's made out to be. It was bloated and slow at launch, but with hardware from the past few years and the service pack, it's perfectly stable. The biggest issue with Vista was crummy driver support which has come around since launch.

lol trust me the only OS you would want to skip is Vista (most Vista drivers will work on Windows 7)... Office looks the same, should be called a service pack...
