Won't anyone clarify me on the meaning of the nine of spades? Carmen makes it clear, but when I look it up online the traditional meaning seems to be arrogance. Certainly that suits her, but it doesn't completely connect. Of course, this is art, and certainly Dorothy put it over for me until I became a frame-by-frame FANATIC!
The women of this era knew how to DRESS! Even as a "2 timing tramp" lol wearing a total of 3 dresses in this whole movie (unheard of these days) Ms Jones still floated around every scene like she was draped in gold! She was dead wrong in this moive...but there's no doubt Carmen was FAB!!
