Good News! AARP & the American Medical Assn have just announced that they're supporting the House health reform bill.
I agree on the idea of letting the people vote. The republicans won't want it. The truth would kill them. Although the first words out of their mouths would ACORN is involved again.
So his favorite group of immigrants ever are a bunch of white, religious fanatics who left England because people were holding hands in public. Interesting.
These people are such idiots, Jesus. how do people vote for these clowns??? the bureaucrat are going to be killing off old folks! Haha. Grassroots my ass. Michelle Bachman on Fox telling house wives and retired old conservative racist to come down to DC to yell at people is not grassroots.
Akin is typical of all politicians but especially Repubs and that he is paid to lie.
The biggest internal threat is from exactly who pays him. Wealthy and corporate interests who have usurped the government and use it to serve their own narrow interests.
Akins corporate masters own the economy, they own the government, they buy the politicians they want to ensure it serves them, keeps the public out, and tries to destroy anything at all that may benefit those who are not filthy rich.
This guy is either retarded or lying. The pilgrims went to holland and were persecuted for their beliefs. This guy knows nothing at all about history.
It's funny how the health care opposition in Congress warn people that there WON'T BE ENOUGH money to care for people if the government gets involved YET we always talk about how government spends TOO MUCH... which is it? all rhetoric i suppose
why is it that when republican's have these sessions no one else is in the room, what I just asked a question.
I think the healthcare bill is to weak like dems & reps wrote it to fail. far as I see democrats aren't liberal enough for me. Keep saying socialist so don't pay taxes and don't drive on our roads build yourself a log cabin and live in the woods, a turtle fence sounds goofy and shit but it did create jobs didn't it. I want tax money to build a mental hospital *wink*
Why can't the GOP just debate the issues instead of distracting voters with this nonsense? Is that REALLY so hard?? Is it really so hard to stop lying and just admit that this bill DOES NOT constitute a takeover of healthcare by any stretch of the imagination? Is it so hard to believe the public option is NOT an entitlement or any of that bullshit? If we've got disagreements on healthcare, let's discuss them. But I cannot stand when one side keeps obstructing and lying to get its way.
Now even my own Congressman has been infected with the crazy on healthcare reform. What a shame. I always thought it'd be someone ELSE's. Of course, I guess it's just a matter of time before your guy becomes 'one of them.' One of the idiots who would gladly disrupt townhall meetings and ask the dumbest questions of their Congressmen because they heard bullshit on Fox about "Obamacare" or from Dick Armey or Americans for "Prosperity."
Are there any Republicans in Congress, esp. conservative, who are willing to stand up to the plate? Any of them willing to say "This is bullshit! Obamacare is not a gov't takeover. My party needs to stop lying"?? If not, all of them should go.
What saddens me is that even Ron Paul seems to have been slightly infected with this mindset on the Obama-Democratic healthcare bill. He's referring to single-payer and whatnot, but that's NOT what's on the table.
God, I can't believe even MY Congressman has turned up the crazy on this healthcare debate. GRRR! Fuck! We still got that jackass Kit Bond as a Senator, and I gotta deal with this guy being another healthcare jackass Republican?
Not exactly a wise choice. Many times the Ron Paul followers hang on every word he says. Although over the past 30 years he has not garnered enough support to win the presidential race. His age will make it difficult to get elected in 2012. Find someone who has the same ideals. Have Ron Paul as vice-president. I believe that would make a better ticket for the voters.
I have medicare. I am not a slave. I bet I get better care than you do. Yes I have a premium. And I hardly use the insurance. To many people are afraid that once this bill passes that everyone will get sick. Not true. Yet if they do. Then they at least can get help. Isn't that what the United States is based on? Neighbor helping neighbor. We are not only talking about the poor. But, Also the middle class. When did we become haters of our fellow man?
I appreciate your comments but I'm afraid you don't really understand the ramifications of the situation regarding the govt takeover of medicine.
I worked in healthcare for many years before I left for WallStreet. Medicare is a BIG financial drain to our economy is so many ways. I cant really get into it being that we are not allowed enough space on youtube for replies. Lets just say that this is not the best bill to put forward at this time. This is a VERY dangerous bill.
Why is the AMA backing this bill? What happens if you get the flu and are uninsured? If it turns into pneumonia how much more will it cost to treat the person? How much money do you stand to lose if this bill passes? I guess if you cannot charge 20 dollars for a band aid or pay a CEO of an insurance company 10 billion+ in salary each year. I would also be upset. That is the reality of the situation. Greedy insurance people would lose the money they gain off refusing to treat peoples illnesses.
This is it america, I know progressives want to help people and that is a noble cause, but look at what clinton/bush carried on with the social housing program, it contributed to the banks collapse. Medicare is broke, social security is a ponzi scheme. Corruption in gov will be rife. Unregulate the free market and let companies compete. Remove barriers to entry so no company is too big to fail. Gov intervention is what is causing this no capitalism. GOP say it right but dont practise it. scum
Children who are not up to date on vaccinations, by choice or if they have some sort of health issue preventing them from being vaccinated will not be covered thanks to this bill.

RepubliCrates owned by Banking Corporations, AIPAC (Israel), and the Military Industrial Complex.
Liars and imoral scum.

Oooh, that Civil War stuff is like catnip to these folks' kooky base.
Worth remembering, for comparison, that "Hizbollah" means "party of God"...
...just like the Klan was...
...or the folks who used to hang heretics and 'witches' from trees in the Boston Commons...
...or this modern-day Party of Palin.

This isn't 1700 assholes.
It's 2009 and there 300+ million people in this country now.
Do you think the Founding Fathers envisioned a behemoth like Wal Mart?
Making $billions and paying workers in SHIT.
These assholes on the right want to live in a serfdom. Stop talking about freedom, there is only one freedom and that's individual economic freedom.
All the BS the GOP talks about and cherisnes leads to debt slavery, monopoly and plutocracy.
Screw them!
