@Painkie it does have a grenade launcher attachment for some of the rifles but its not really commonly used because most people use mp40s. plus it takes a little bit longer to put the launcher on. the shotguns arent op at all in waw. but if you learn to use them right you can get great games with them. theyre best for clearing out objectives that are in small rooms.

Not everyone derives their enjoyment purely from winning games, some players quickscope purely for enjoyment regardless of the effect this has on their K/D or win/loss ratio. As it happens, some people (like Hutch for example) are very good at it and it helps them win games. It is clear that you two take very different approaches to how to play CoD successfully, and that's fine. 360 noscopers annoy me as much as the next man btw.

Im both. its hard to explain actually. if i see somebody that is a good 50 feet away, yes ill quickscope. BUT if they are anyfurther away then i will hardscope the shit out of them. i dont have a problem with being HS. But i do have a problem with people trying to 360QS across the map off of a building just because its honestly boring unless they hit it. Idk, i understand both sides and i think thats the best side on the whole situation.... IMO

a GOOD sniper should be able to play at all distances, Black ops denys that with barely any hitdetection long range, And the faulty sniper dmg to cancel out any possible attempts
Quickscoping is not dead, I do it everyday and ive kept over a 1.20 KD

I'm a hard-scoper for sure... I admit that I sucked at the COD/MW series as a run-and-gunner... but I never saw how combat-like running around firing from the hip. Treyarch maps really leave you too open in Black Ops and World at War. I hate playing with randoms and getting accused of "camping" because I'm not running around knifing people. I've tried every class/ player type and sniping is what works for me. I agree I like to "Own" a territory. I get fewer kills, but also fewer deaths...
I hated it when ppl would complain that i killed them with a hard scope because in the end i had an a opportunity while they wasted theyres trying to be stylish and and idiotic

Wings you cannot say to somebody how to play the game. Like in real life u cant tell somebody how to score a goal. Hell a if a soccer player wants to do a bicycle kick hes aloud to do it take more skill then the normal kick yes. Treyarch have made a terrible idea to try to GIMP quickscopers. They just need to put it back to cod4 style and then there would be less quickscopers and only the great ones would stay.
Wings, you have to understand. THIS IS A VIDEO GAME. Not Afghanistan. Quickscoping is way people play, just like with your.... "tactical" gameplay. We have fun by running around and using a weapon that makes the game fun for us. Quickscoping is just as much of a gamestyle than any other way of playing. The idea that it's cheap is just as legitimate as saying using an assault is cheap.

I love sniping the same way you do Wings. There's very little I enjoy more than hardscoping for the entire killcam while lying in a bush with cold blooded pro and getting a headshot.
Anyways, I hope to see your Trench gun gameplay. I've been doing shotgun only to prepare for Black Ops and it requires thinking about the maps completely differently, so I enjoy how it is sort of a tactical gameplay.
According to the videos that are out (whether they're accurate or not I cannot say) ninja PRO will make you completely silent AND give you the pro version of sitrep pro. That's right; you won't make any sound and the enemies footsteps will be louder. I'd say that's better than the MW2 version. ;]

If you're going to hardscope then yeah you're going to get stabbed. You're not supposed to sit in the same position for 10 minutes. If you are scoped in long enough for someone to run around where you're sitting and then stab you then you can't complain. Everything else I agree with though.
There will always be people who quickscope. Seriously, go join a CoD4 match and count 'em. It doesn't matter what they do to snipers, If they make it harder people will just think it takes that much more skill to do. Thus making more people do it to be "Cool." I don't have that much of a problem with quickscoping but if I'm playing Domination and Mr. xxSkillxScopesxx on my team is giving them helicopters by dying and not capping flags I get pretty pissed. That happens too often these days.

Why is it that almost all the arguments for nerfing quickscoping involve some idiot jumping off a building? I snipe for fun, because regular guns are TOO EASY! Does this mean that in SnD I jump off a building every time I see someone or never hardscope? NO! I have a 25 inch screen that i play on and I usually sit about 5 maybe 6 feet away from the T.V. with the volume at about 15-16 notches out of 50 notches, and sometimes I trip out thinking someone is following me even when I have Ninja on. It basically sounds like a muffled footstep. I don't have a headset to use, and I don't have an HQ surround sound set up. It's just an old school big box T.V.

You have to know how to use the map to your advantage by learning the tricks of the map as WoR stated in this video. When i play with friends online i usually play a sniping class just because of how powerful they really can be if used properly. @avansies There aren't counters for a lot of perks in MW2. That's half the problem with the game. Stopping Power has Pain Killer yeah, but it isn't much of a counter in all honesty, and Commando Pro doesn't have a counter period without a riot shield, and even then someone who uses the perk a lot would know how to side step the shield with Commando. People honestly need to accept that MW2 has it's disadvantages and use the advantages that DO exist to YOUR advantage.
I like WoR a lot. He has great game play and I agree with a lot of things he says. In this case Ninja Pro being over powered. it is very overpowered simply because if you aren't listening it allows the enemy to sneak right on through without notice. However as Wings said if a sniper is playing in a tactical style they would be more so camping and slowing moving around versus rushing to QS. Camping usually involves sound whoring allowing you to hear enemies even with ninja.

Even without a headset I can hear not only my footsteps but enemy footsteps whom also have Ninja Pro, without a headset. It's faint but you can still hear them coming. Headsets can enhance the sound a bit, but it isn't much.
i know why you do this. but i just think quick scoping is fun. of course i can go run around with a ump and shoot people but getting that one shot off and hitting the opponent in a fast paced shooter is fun.
Treyarch should create a game lobby with perks disabled, this would even the playing ground. The quickscopers shouldn't be complaining they will still have MW2. lol.
I had an idea the other day that, instead of allowing players to enter the fray WITH a sniper rifle, on large to very large maps there should be two immovable sniper rifles like in the MW2 campaign (where you had to defend the evac site in DC). The point would be to encourage small arms use in-game while making the use of the snipers more tactical and organized.
I usually think WoR is a twat. However, with regard to quickscoping, he is spot on! Im so glad Treyarch have sorted it for Black Ops! Yes, people have a laugh doing it, but it is so fucking annoying to both Teamates and opponents! Its not in the spirit of the game, in my opinion.

There will still be QSing, it changes for every CoD and they still figure it out. WaW = iron sights, CoD4 = ACOG, MW2 = default+SoHP. With all the new sights in BO they'll find something that works. Your 360 people won't disappear either, and it will probably be worse since it will be harder to pull off.
One of the best things about World at War were the maps. Treyarch needs to bring back a couple world at war maps for Black Ops 2.

Wings you cannot say to somebody how to play the game. Like in real life u cant tell somebody how to score a goal. Hell a if a soccer player wants to do a bicycle kick hes aloud to do it take more skill then the normal kick yes. Treyarch have made a terrible idea to try to GIMP quickscopers. They just need to put it back to cod4 style and then there would be less quickscopers and only the great ones would stay.

Wings, you have to understand. THIS IS A VIDEO GAME. Not Afghanistan. Quickscoping is way people play, just like with your.... "tactical" gameplay. We have fun by running around and using a weapon that makes the game fun for us. Quickscoping is just as much of a gamestyle than any other way of playing. The idea that it's cheap is just as legitimate as saying using an assault is cheap.

I love sniping the same way you do Wings. There's very little I enjoy more than hardscoping for the entire killcam while lying in a bush with cold blooded pro and getting a headshot.
Anyways, I hope to see your Trench gun gameplay. I've been doing shotgun only to prepare for Black Ops and it requires thinking about the maps completely differently, so I enjoy how it is sort of a tactical gameplay.

According to the videos that are out (whether they're accurate or not I cannot say) ninja PRO will make you completely silent AND give you the pro version of sitrep pro. That's right; you won't make any sound and the enemies footsteps will be louder. I'd say that's better than the MW2 version. ;]

Quickscoping is a choice for people to prove there skills in cod4/5 and will be an even greater test in Black Ops. You shouldnt have a problem with quickscoping if you get easy kills off of them

i dont get it, back in world at war, treyarch did not nerf or fix the most overpowered and less skill requiring gun in the history of fps games, and they go and nerf out of all the things before black ops is released...quickscoping. i personally did not have an issue with quickscopers. maybe it was because i played on ps3 or maybe it wasnt, but i would never get killed by some1 quickscoping..........

Ehh I mean a good sniper knows when to be fast and quick scope when they need to and scope in an take the shot (hardscope) but yes there's always those kids that ther only mentality is to quick scope only (fuck those faggots that think that way) but not every sniper plays like that. See many can quick scope BUT few can snipe ;). . JD_2020 made a good decision nerfing quick scoping. Fck teeh haters ;)

Okay, I'm getting tired of this. I quickscope because it's fun. It's a game. Your able to do whatever you like you bought it. If I wanted to jump off buildings doing 360 all day then I could. If you wanted to you could. And I don't won't to, then I don't have to. Wings, you post reg guns gameplay (mostly) and you are good at it, but before you try to say that it's "cheap" in some way you get gameplays of you running around quickscoping like Small Beans, Moodie, and all of them.

If you're going to hardscope then yeah you're going to get stabbed. You're not supposed to sit in the same position for 10 minutes. If you are scoped in long enough for someone to run around where you're sitting and then stab you then you can't complain. Everything else I agree with though.

There will always be people who quickscope. Seriously, go join a CoD4 match and count 'em. It doesn't matter what they do to snipers, If they make it harder people will just think it takes that much more skill to do. Thus making more people do it to be "Cool." I don't have that much of a problem with quickscoping but if I'm playing Domination and Mr. xxSkillxScopesxx on my team is giving them helicopters by dying and not capping flags I get pretty pissed. That happens too often these days.

Why is it that almost all the arguments for nerfing quickscoping involve some idiot jumping off a building? I snipe for fun, because regular guns are TOO EASY! Does this mean that in SnD I jump off a building every time I see someone or never hardscope? NO! Quickscoping will still exist in black ops, though only the truly skilled will be able to to quickscope.

I have a 25 inch screen that i play on and I usually sit about 5 maybe 6 feet away from the T.V. with the volume at about 15-16 notches out of 50 notches, and sometimes I trip out thinking someone is following me even when I have Ninja on. It basically sounds like a muffled footstep. I don't have a headset to use, and I don't have an HQ surround sound set up. It's just an old school big box T.V.

@Ozmega11 There are plenty of maps on CoD that are sniper friendly, I have no idea what encouraged you to say otherwise. You have to know how to use the map to your advantage by learning the tricks of the map as WoR stated in this video. When i play with friends online i usually play a sniping class just because of how powerful they really can be if used properly. Im sure you've experienced that one person who keeps picking you off and makes it damn near impossible to get a payback.

You might think that using a headset is cheap and BS and you would never do it, but guess what, that's your choice and opinion. Sound whoring started on the PC through online shooters like MOHAA and I'm sure others as well, it's just part of gaming. Don't bitch about it if you don't like it, if you can't beat it join it or quit playing. Simple enough.

@avansies There aren't counters for a lot of perks in MW2. That's half the problem with the game. Stopping Power has Pain Killer yeah, but it isn't much of a counter in all honesty, and Commando Pro doesn't have a counter period without a riot shield, and even then someone who uses the perk a lot would know how to side step the shield with Commando. People honestly need to accept that MW2 has it's disadvantages and use the advantages that DO exist to YOUR advantage.

I like WoR a lot. He has great game play and I agree with a lot of things he says. In this case Ninja Pro being over powered. it is very overpowered simply because if you aren't listening it allows the enemy to sneak right on through without notice. However as Wings said if a sniper is playing in a tactical style they would be more so camping and slowing moving around versus rushing to QS. Camping usually involves sound whoring allowing you to hear enemies even with ninja.

Even without a headset I can hear not only my footsteps but enemy footsteps whom also have Ninja Pro, without a headset. It's faint but you can still hear them coming. Headsets can enhance the sound a bit, but it isn't much.

I had an idea the other day that, instead of allowing players to enter the fray WITH a sniper rifle, on large to very large maps there should be two immovable sniper rifles like in the MW2 campaign (where you had to defend the evac site in DC). The point would be to encourage small arms use in-game while making the use of the snipers more tactical and organized.

There will still be QSing, it changes for every CoD and they still figure it out. WaW = iron sights, CoD4 = ACOG, MW2 = default+SoHP. With all the new sights in BO they'll find something that works. Your 360 people won't disappear either, and it will probably be worse since it will be harder to pull off.
