  • 1:04 to 1:07 its 2D!

  • MUTE

  • Did anyone pay attention to the awesome town she's walking in?

  • Polecam ten filmik

    watch?v=D0nPIA_RiS0

  • Its stupid. Why do you have to connect to computer first. All maps should be on the phone ready to be called out on the fly. I am going around with my desktop and laptop everywhere just so I "sync" the maps to the phone. Can you go around the US without connecting to computer? Can you set a new course and it give turn by turn navigation to where i want to go?

  • @magnovox00 I am "not" going around....

  • do you have to be connected to the internet to use the maps?

  • i have this model and honestly.... i love it, i have no problem with it what so ever. it does everyting perfectly. i say it's a very good phone!!! and if we look at the sound..... Iphone ain't got shin on the 5800 :P haha

  • hi guys i downloaded the ovi maps on my nokia 5530 xpress music and as you know the 5530 dose not have GPS Property can any one know how we can use the ovi maps without the GPS?..thanks

  • the fucking ovi maps use date, to show a map on mobile, whatever my nokia 5800 is 30 min to find sattelite signals, so i mean dont use mobile for navigation, instead i use my garmin navigation, if i need a navigator :d

  • hm, whats the difference between the regular 5800 and the navigation series?

  • @xihakuix

It comes with a lifetime subscription of the navigation feature on the 5800. With it, the phone automatically can plan routes for you. It even talks you through while driving and stuff. It basically turns your 5800 into a sat-nav unit. Well, the 5800 can already do that. But you have to pay separately for the navigation subscription. I'd take the 5800 Navigation edition anyday for the LIFETIME subscription.

  • oh cool! you had me but you lost me and had me again xD

so the regular 5800 you have to pay an annual fee, and the naviagation edition comes with a lifetime subscription for free? x_x lol

  • @ xihakuix

Not exactly annually, you can avail the service even on a day-to-day basis if you want. Useful for long trips especially if you don't need the GPS everyday. It's not that expensive. But I wish they could speed up the Ovi Maps software itself. The hardware is awesome. The 5800 (as well as the 5230) locks the signal waaayyy faster, even with A-GPS off, than any other phone I've tried. N95, iPhone 3G, N97, etc. But Ovi Maps 2.0 could really use some speed tweaks.

  • @ xihakuix

Good news mate! Just today, Nokia announced that Ovi Maps will come with FREE. Yes, absolutely free navigation!!! No more payments and crap like that. I'm sorry, but Nokia just became the world's largest sat-nav brand. Each phone they sell with integrated GPS can be turned into a sat-nav unit at a touch of a button.

God, I love you Nokia. Now it's time to bring Symbian^2 to soon-to-be legacy devices like the 5800 and N97.

  • awesome o_O

time for me to buy that navi edition haha

  • You didn't get me, did you? I said ALL Nokia phones with Ovi Maps now have FREE unlimited navigation. It's pointless buying a 5800 Navigation edition now when the regular 5800 (and all other Nokia phones with built-in GPS like the N97 and 5230) comes with unlimited free navigation. It's like buying a sat-nav unit with your phone.

  • oh! o_O wow, i'm a bigger nokia fan than i was 1hour ago then. :) LOL that saves me like... whats the difference... 80bucks ? yay :d

  • which is better than 5530???

  • 5530 sux lol

  • Oh great now we'll have lifetime guidance although most of time navigator doesnt work properly and its not good as professional Nuvi

  • Wow, the reflection of the camera on the phone at 1:17 was REALLY unprofessional

  • The whole vid is an amateur shit.... :)

  • btw, does this phone have kinetic scrolling like the n97 mini?

  • @Jordey24 no it does not.

  • It does, with newest firmware^^

  • So.. the only differences are the updated maps (which you can just download?) and the chrome look?

I think I'll just buy the cheaper, original 5800 then...?

  • stfu, thats the best touchscreen phone avaiable

  • o realy lol ?

  • Yeh, rly, u can't find a cheaper phone with so much included. And it has Symbian S60 on it so its a REAL alternative to the other phones. It just took sime time to get touchscreen support....

  • When is it coming to the USA?? and I estimatedthe price.. so I think it will be the same as the expressmisuc when it first launched.. which was $399.00 - $420.00

  • kindly assist... from which site can i download an antivirus software for Nokia 5800.... thnks

  • hey, i just bought 1 month ago.. n now nokia 5800 is navigation edition?! what about the previous?? will it get ovi maps n lifetime voice guide? :(

    please give me answer

  • just noticet that 5800 shes got , has a very nice chrome kind of thing

  • exactly, thats a oly for the 5800NE. Which is why im getting this phone

  • yeah dude i noticet that.......at my phone is a plastik.....here looks a little bit safer

  • lol why navi edition i just buy a chrome new cover for the nokia 5800 and put garmin on it xD

  • but wat about the free lifetime guidance

  • this bitch is a douchebag

  • i hate the music !! how choose this crap music :(

  • @heliosraj Do you prefer some Sibelius's symphony? XD

    I like that.

  • facepalm

  • The reflection of the camera, is ridiculous. Nokia is doing cheap video??

  • Le contour chromé est sympa..

Mais dommage pour la légère lenteur du soft, mais toujours sympa à utiliser...

Vivement un écran capacitif sur un Nokia S60!! Ptet sur le futur 5900..

  • Thanks for the comments, guys and gals! :-) Carita and I quickly put that video together yesterday. Wasn't supposed to be anything special, just showing off the new device along with Maps 3.0.

We used a Sony handycam and iMovie...not exactly hi-tech ;-)

  • hi phill,

how about updating ovi maps plugin for ff 3.5. it isn't working with the new browser which is a big letdown.

  • nokia nokia.. u get worse...

  • Hang on....that reflection on the screen @1.33 . Is that a man with a camera and nail varnish pretending to be the woman with sunglasses on?? I note he's not wearing sunglasses.

  • Comment removed

  • O_o Landscape in Maps with the 5800?! For me there's only the Portrait Mode. Is this a new Version?
