That child is enjoying tasting something new and neat with his tongue and mouth.

Parents expose their children to many different types of food. If the child really disliked it or it was hurting him he would be crying or showing some sign of distress. The adult is not shoving it in his face or anything. Just holding it out for the child. The child also reaches out for it. He is maybe experiencing sour for one of his first times.This is stuff babies learn during their development process. What to eat what tastes good and what doesn't. It's not hot sauce. @HamedTD Not all ppl expereince a burning sensation on the skin. Some expereince a tingly sensation, others experience a flushing sensation. When you watch the video you can tell the child is not being harmed, or the skin would appear reddened, and he would be rubbing at his chin or trying to get the lemon juice off his skin and crying in pain or with irritation. That child is enjoying tasting something new and neat with his tongue and mouth.

@HamedTD All right, i can speak for myself. As a baby and a little kid i loved lemons. I ate a ton of them and had no defects on my skin or else...I'm sure most of people ate lemons when they were babies...I don't know these facts or whatever you want to call them, but i know i've never heard of a case when lemons did any harm to kids or adults.

@nanotech50000 There are three types of abuse - physical (beating up), emotional (telling your child it's worthless) or sexual? The video shows NO ABUSE! I wasn't abused just because I was made to eat my sprouts as a kid. Besides, the baby is coming back for more, it's just intrigued/hungry. A baby would pull away or cry if it didn't wanna eat so stop being so sensationalist!!

@crazypianolady They have done a number of studies that show that there are many types of abuse (there are actually five main categories and several subcategories), but you are right, and I also don't understand how ppl can say this falls into any category of abuse. Parents expose their children to many different types of food. If the child really disliked it or it was hurting him he would be crying or showing some sign of distress. The adult is not shoving it in his face or anything. Just holding it out for the child. The child also reaches out for it. He is maybe experiencing sour for one of his first times.This is stuff babies learn during their development process. What to eat what tastes good and what doesn't. It's not hot sauce. Just a slice of lemon.
