@CziffraTheThird 70km/hr top speed isnt that slow and these carts are speed regulated with a remote which is very rarely ever maxed out unless you can handle the speed
Speeders is the the best kart racing Edmonton has to offer. I am like most people who do not want to spend hundreds of dollars to visit Stratotech, nor do I plan to become a professional which I think it's catered to. Speeders is way bigger than the old West Ed Mall track and with brand new pro karts, why would anyone want to go to Whitemud and drive their old, beat up karts and dirty track? Electric and Indoors is very clean. Everyone should just go and see for yourself why so many return.
STRATOTECH PARK ROCKS!!! Indoor tracks don't really last in edmonton because there INDOOR. People want to be outside enjoy the sun and race. I like Stratotech park because they have a long track - Speeders is such a small track if anything I would go to Whitemud atleast there track is way bigger. Also, I have raced at stratoech and I can certainly state that the karts at speeders don't even go close to 70 (SCAM) . That's my opinion only but then again in the summer i prefer to be outdoors.
I've been going since they opened, know the staff & post fast times. Ignore the idiot 'dizznee1' below', he has NO clue and takes the bus to his fast food job. These karts are extremely powerful and fast! They use a slower "pit speed" while entering and exiting the pits...obvious safety protocol. This track is way bigger than others. You got black flagged for not following the rules, says clearly "must be able to safely operate the kart" They won't let you beat up on their karts...good on them!
The track + plus the false perception you can go "70" km is pretty lame. The track is too small to even support that kind of speed for people who know about real go karting this place sucksssssssss and there definately aint no thrill if you cant bump or spin out a little and its freaken $20 for 14 lame laps of which the first few and ending few are like the same speed as a fat person running
! I don't like the fact the speed of these go karts is controlled on like every lap, wheres the challenge? Plus, the speeders staff decides how fast you can go which is pretty lame in my opinion. A few of my buddies also went there and got kicked off for just knicking the Kart ( he was trying to pass).
@stupiddeep sure they can. Just about anything can be governed in one wau or another. And these guys do. You have to complete 5 laps of safe driving at medium speed, and, at the pit crew's discretion, then they will unlock your cart to full tilt.
Really? That's weird, my understanding of a restrictor is they restrict the intake of air going into the engine which reduces the output of power. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@stupiddeep hey, don't worry about it man, haha. i personally can't stand the guys on here that thrive on people who make a single mistake and right away call them retarded.
