I absolutely love this! Where I live, the wind blowing things away is a big consideration. The "net" would keep things from getting too far out of bounds.
And, isn't it teaching something about manufacturing and history that we may all take for granted? People, young and old, seeing the micro/macro view of how a net or fabric is made is an important lesson.
My 10 year old daughter, an aspiring artist loved this idea, she says"it's totally awesome!" We want to play in this! I guess we will have to make our own. Thanks for posting this.

Day before yesterday I saw YouTube video done in German, a language I do not speak. Since I was going to yarn store anyway, I also bought a 4-nail spool and came home and did as the video showed. Wow! I did it!! How fun was that -- to do something never done as a child.
Then I emailed YouTube URL to friend in Germany and she remembered that she has two and will give to mom and daughter to have fun, too!
Playing and playfulness is always a wonderful waste of time. And if you have somewhere to sit off the wet grass while you have your lunch between playing then all the better. Thanks for all the comments everyone!
