no, ive looked at this, what all of you (except BBBpro.) dont understand is that it does NOT add any memory, or magically findmore memory in your RAM. it stays THE SAME but makes the current RAM more open for use.

While this doesn't "give" you free RAM, it does seem to free up RAM. If you really need a speed boost, I reccomend going out and installing more RAM (physical). If having to spend money is not your thing, look around at local recycling centers. I found a gig of ram that someone threw out.

no ... if got 3 3.5gb ram slots .. 2 have got 3.5gb in ... the other i havnt put anything in it, my computer uses the 3gb but if the cpu gets to 100% it uses the other 3.5 ... so it goes back to 1%

iv got 7gb ... >:) what iv done is well when ever my laptops cpu runs out (gets to 100% usage) my computer creates another 3.5gb ... making it go back to 1% again ... lol

Or you could just turn off your computer once in a while... RAM isn't flash memory, so everything stored on your RAM is wiped when you cut power to your system.

And I have 4GB, and if my system somehow uses all of that, then, well, I guess I have a major problem on my hands.

Thank you! I plan to get a 2 gig card but, until then, my RAM is very small, 256 megs. This method recovered 102.18MB, around 40% of the overall RAM. Thank you! Until I get the more beefy 2 gig, every megabyte counts.
