Is Clannad really THAT sad....I got bored on the first ten episodes and stopped,so if someone could explain to me why this is so sad,that would be a lot of help...

@BakaAnimeFriendz if you found it boring, then I doubt youd understand why it's sad; it plays on the emotions of the viewer, at least as much as the viewer can get into it~ It's a dramatic series so not everyoens cup of tea.

@BakaAnimeFriendz yea, like Rubytyr and ChrisKay21 stated, you just have to have the correct mindset and be very patient with it. Personally it's one of my top animes and shows that Ive ever seen, but you have to be patient and withhold judgment until you watch ALL of the first season and ESPECIALLY the 2nd season. The 2nd season really gets intense really quickly, and the 2nd half of it will get even the manliest man in tears because of the emotions in conjures up. Trust me

@BakaAnimeFriendz I'm sure you've already heard several other replies already but yes, it is quite sad. It really depends on the viewer's taste of anime. You've got to be patient with Clannad and the second half of season 1 is better than the first half. Season two is really where the whole story stands out. =) Its WAAAY more dramatic than season one and definitely better! I totally recommend you pick up the anime again cuz i really think you're missing out!! >.<

So, I watched the dub, so I don't really know what the voices sound like in the Japanese too much. I did know though that Nagisa is voiced by Mai Nakahara (who voices Juvia in Fairy Tail) and I noticed in this video Tomoya sounds A LOT like Gray so, after some fangirling, I looked it up. And Gray and Tomoya are voiced by the same person. (only fairy tail fans would understand) Ironic, right? I don't know, I found it ironic XP
